About The Dysart Petersham
The Dysart Petersham has recently undergone a complete interior refurbishment, bringing back to life as many of the original Arts and Crafts elements of the building as possible to set a stylish and comfortable atmosphere. Our menus change daily, freshly cooked to order by our Head Chef and his team, emphasising freshness, the seasons, well balanced flavours, ethical sourcing and country values. We have a garden and a forager who provide local Petersham grown produce to our chef.

The Dysart Petersham Ratings and Reviews
This is fast becoming a favourite. Celebrated our wedding anniversary here with the tasting menu and matched wines. A well thought out menu, superbly balanced with wine with some very pleasant surprises on both the food and the drink front. The tasting menu means tried things we never normally would and was well worth it. All delicious and beautifully served. Staff create a lovely atmosphere - no prevention, no fuss but special.
Our second lunch in as many weeks, with delightful food & wine, served by staff who clearly know what they are doing.
The Dysart is in a lovely setting, with a wonderful sense of peace and tranquility. Tables are space in such a way that there is no sense of being overcrowded.
It was a quiet Thursday evening, we almost had the place to ourselves. The welcome was good. Each dish was a work of art, beautiful in appearance. The set menu was to be recommended. I didn't know soup could taste this good. The level of service was just right. We will definitely come again!
My wife & I decided to have a quiet anniversary lunch together to celebrate 46 years of marriage.
The Dysart picked this up when confirming my booking, and we were both very impressed to be greeted with a "Happy Anniversary" greeting upon our arrival.
Both the food and wine, not forgetting the service, were absolutely superb and we were totally impressed. So much so that we have booked a room to celebrate with friends, a significant birthday for my wife in a couple of months time.
It is very difficult to fault it frankly.
As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted, the service was friendly, but considerate and professional throughout, and the food was simply amazing. Really amazing! I had the beef and my wife had the fish (hake if i remember correctly), and they were both outstanding.
I'd happily go back and try the rest of the menu!
I have been visiting Dysart Arms for lunch over the past 5 years and always enjoyed the food and ambience. This time I took special friends who had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July. It was their first visit and they were very impressed with the quality of food, the service, the ambience and the personal attention of the owner. The chef is good and the quality consistent. Thank you.
We went here for dinner on a warm Summer evening, eating outside in the garden. We had the tasting menu which was fantastic, great flavours, interesting combinations and beautifully presented. The service was discrete but unfussy and with a smile. The walk along the river to/from Richmond is itself a treat. I will definitely be back and would happily recommend this restaurant.
A birthday treat for my husband. We had the tasting menu with matched wines. Everything was scrumptious, with lots of the ingredients sourced locally. Nice to see an English wine being served as well as a saki! Lots of lovely surprises. The service was excellent too, friendly without being over-attentive. Loved it.
A sensational venue with great food. All the courses were impeccable in taste and presentation - I had the lamb and my wife had the hake. Lovely tasters were presented to us between courses. The setting is beautiful and the dining space particularly nice - like a highly refined country pub.
Absolutely love this restaurant: fine dining without having to travel up to London. This time celebrating a belated Father's Day with our son. Beautiful food, beautifully presented, excellent wine list and service in a comfortable, elegant atmosphere. Our new favourite restaurant.
We had been here before and enjoyed it but that was quite a few years ago, as the restaurant is not particularly local to us. However, a friend recommended it and we booked lunch for four of us. It was fabulous - no other word for it. The set menu ( which two of us had) was excellent and very good value and the a la carte choices were lovely. I enjoyed every mouthful. Wonderful, Michelin quality cooking and presentation at non-Michelin prices. So good that we're gong back for dinner with our son, just home for a few days from Spain, as we know he'll love it to. Best restaurant within miles.
I took my vegetarian girlfriend here for a birthday meal... She loved it and they went out of there way to accommodate her and her dietary requirements. There food options for us both (me being a meat lover) were excellent and I will be definitely be recommending The Dysart to my friends...
Another great meal!
We went again yesterday and loved it, we sat outside and we were lucky to have th sun shining. Food was incredibly delicious and their lunch prix fix menu is really good value for money.
Service was friendly and professional as always.
Until next time 😊
An outstanding dining experience. The service is impeccable and friendly with a true passion for the food and wine served. The tasting menu is a perfect balance and matched with some great wines. Worth the trip to find this place if you're looking for excellent food and a warm atmosphere.
This was a very special evening. Our two daughters had given us a voucher for the taster menus as a Ruby Wedding anniversary present. Barney and his team couldn't have been more welcoming and the food & wine were out of this world.
We would LOVE to return.
