About

The Dysart Petersham has recently undergone a complete interior refurbishment, bringing back to life as many of the original Arts and Crafts elements of the building as possible to set a stylish and comfortable atmosphere.

Our menus change with the seasons as well as always holding a few of our signature dishes, freshly cooked to order by our Head Chef and his team, emphasising freshness, well balanced flavours, ethical sourcing and country values. We have a garden and a forager who provide local Petersham grown produce to our chef.

Love this place. Great good, great service and a lovely relaxing restaurant with a real wood burning stove. Plus very nice live classical guitar playing in the background.

Well done.

Great food and wines with a relaxed atmosphere. We went for dinner but would be really excellent for a big family lunch post walk in Richmond park

This is a charming venue with creative cuisine, skilled cooking and attractive presentation. The wine and food service was very good and the special occasion was recognised with a surprise at the end of a lovely meal. The prices are fairly high, but worth it for a special occasion. The portion sizes are quite modest, which suits us, but may not suit hungrier diners.

Outstanding lunch in every way. Attentive but discrete service, fabulous food including looking after one of our party who was dairy and gluten free, great wine list, gorgeous dining room. Love it. Get there ASAP! You’ll be very pleased you did.

It has been several years since I visited the Dysart and was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the super menu; the friendly and welcoming service and the wine list. There is not an abundance of good restaurants in Richmond so it is great that we have found one!

The customary warm welcome to a relaxed and enjoyable meal.
The menu- not too long- provides a range of good choices, and prices.
Everything comes very well presented and supplemented by delicious bread and small bites.
Only criticism- we tend to eat too much!

This was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. We were vusiting to celebrate a birthday, and the staff were friendly and attentive without hovering, and the food quite simply sublime. The amuse-bouches were tasty and original, and then two of us began with the creamy and delicious oxtail risotto, which was creamy and flavourful, heavy on the oxtail and light on the rice, so not glutinous and over-filling as risottos often are. The third member of our party had the onion soup, which was a wonderful comfort food on a snowy night, frothy and luxurious. For the main course, two of us had guinea-fowl with fennel sauerkraut and spaetzle and the third had the duck with chocolate, cherry and coffee sauce, both of which were beautifully cooked and presented. We shared a side dish of colcannon that was so smooth and tasty that we ordered another bowl. For the puddings we had the mango with chocolate parfait, Valrhona chocolate cake and coconut and kaffir lime leaf sorbet, and the Matcha crème brulée with miniature chocolate and sesame cakes - both of which were a combination of complementary flavours and again exquisitely presented and, while small portions, more than adequate. The meal was rounded off with a complimentary platter of excellent petit fours with a 'happy birthday' message decoratively written in chocolate for the occasion.
The bill for three starters, three mains, two side dishes and two puddings for three people (plus three glasses of champagne) came to just under £200, so in no way cheap, but well worth the cost. We will definitely be returning.

An impressive lunch and excellent vegetarian menu. Good space between tables. Log fire added to atmosphere, as did large forsythia vase! Only improvement: first and main courses could have been just slightly hotter.

The food was incredible. We were particularly impressed by the range and creativity of the vegetarian options. The ambience was perfect for a special birthday lunch for my mum. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the whole experience was perfect —special without ever being stuffy, delicious food and wine and excellent service.

Exquisite food. It seems to get better here all the time. My starter of Oxtail risotto was divine - very little rice (so not too carby) - instead lots of flavours of oxtail and marrowbone. Creamy, rich and intense. Perfect as a prelude to any of the mains. I loved the halibut Palermitano (with tastes of Sicilian lemon) - well cooked and well seasoned. The service is lovely - professional without being formal. And the venue roomy and relaxed but with a refined air about it. Not cheap. But worth it.

The restaurant is beautiful and the service very good. The food wasn't as good as other times we've had lunch here. We won't be coming back because they don't allow buggies in the restaurant, so not very family friendly. They say this is because they don't have enough space, which is not true. They allow dogs, though.

Great welcome, great food, and quietly efficient service throughout.
Staff always go the extra mile to make a visit into an ocasion, even when a casual meal at short notice.
And the food always has extra twists too with inventive sauces and accompaniments; as well as the dependable recurrence of freshly baked soda bread.
All most enjoyable.

Divine! Enjoyed a special Birthday dinner here and everything was perfect. The food was delicious and innovative (and the presentation stunning). Wine selection and pricing outstanding. Claudia could not have been any more helpful or friendly. A perfect meal enjoyed with live music in a romantic setting... I couldn't have wished for more! I'd recommend the venison and wild stone bass with Sauce Jacqueline.
