I went with my family for lunch. It was very quiet and initially we were the only people there. We had to request the lunch deal (on the website) which is good value. unfortunately my meal was very delayed (I think it was left off the order) but was good when it came. Other food was also good. To compensate me I was not charged for my meal so I can forgive the transgression. They were also apologetic. Overall I would recommend the lunch deal which is good value.
Hadn’t eaten here in a long time and I hear they’re shutting down in a few weeks.
It was New Years Day so lack of atmosphere is forgivable, as I’ll assume most people were at home nursing a hangover; however lighting a couple of the open fires would’ve made the afternoon more warm and welcoming.
The service we were given was brilliant and overall the food pretty good. I had blade of beef with honey roast parsnips etc and this was both tasty and plenty of it. Two fish cakes went down well and a fish and chips enjoyed by another of our party; the fifth member slightly disappointed with her chicken burger which could’ve been served hotter.
As said, I understand this place will close temporarily soon and reopen under new ownership in the summer. I’ll pop back and check it out then
The pub experience was brilliant, lovely setting, staff and food.
I have been to the tavern many times and unfortinalty all the staff w days before xmas found they were out if a job, which is probably why the food was way under usual standard. The beg was hard, the xmas menu wasnt available (no one Informed us we had to pre order that) and the general atmosphere was quite flat.
Real shame, hope all the staff managed to still have an ok xmas despite the news.
The staff were genuinely friendly to our kids, 4 and 6, which set a great tone. Food was excellent, service slick. Best Sunday roast we’ve had in London.
Strong service, great roast dinner and the cauliflower cheese ramekins was a lovely touch!
Keep it up. It’s so hard to find pubs with good service and Sunday roasts!
Excellent service, courteous staff. Always a welcoming atmosphere.
Really enjoyed a sunday lunch here. The food was excellent! Great service too! Will definitely return!
Very good - perfect for a Friday evening supper
Very nice dining room with a traditional authentic feel, none of the hopster gastro pub. It would be perfect and a hot dpot if they served game
Delicious food and service as always.
Great Sunday lunch. We didn't wait long between courses, and the selection was great. Can't wait to go back!
The wait staff were amazing, the food was even more so. Go alone for the white chocolate fondant!!!
Great food and lovely service. Really nice evening with friends and not too noisy.
Lovely meal and we were made to feel very welcome. Would definitely visit again.
We look forward to seeing you soon
Really lovely pub restaurant with a nice chilled atmosphere. Came for the Sunday roast and it’s the second time we have come there for that. Food is lovely but they have the tendency to run out of food options as the evening progresses as the food is so good. Both times we have been there they had run out of foods on the Sunday menu and I’ve had to go with alternatives. The food is excellent and the staff are so lovely and attentive and genuinely good people!
Thank you for your review and feedback, I will ensure your comments are passed to the management team to review the menu stock levels. We look forward to seeing you back soon!
Perfect Sunday lunch. Fantastic service, great food for adults as well as kids.
Thank you so much! We hope you come and see us again soon
Atmosphere was great! Food was amazing and I would definitely recommend an evening out here!
Lovely staff in the restaurant. The sea bass special had lovely crispy skin. Nice to see decent size and range of vegs. Lavender panacotta was really tasty and subtle. This pub has retained a lovely original feel with its historic wood panelling and real fireplaces. Perhaps a dimmer switch for the restaurant?
Thank you SueL for your great feedback, we hope you come back and see us soon
A lovely evening with a wonderful waitress - Nicolette was incredibly friendly and attentive and the food was beautiful.
Thank you so much, we will be sure to pass on your comments to the team.
Excellent service, very friendly staff 👍🏼
A lovely spacious pub with very good food.
Friendly service and I was impressed that the waitress put a jug on the table without prompting.
Weather not good enough for sitting in the garden, which is very appealing and good for families.
Thanks so much for this great review! So happy you had a great time
We enjoy this place. We were looked after very well. The food was very good. The ratings reflect this visit and menu. I know it can be 5 stars all round. We will be there again in a week or two.
Thank you for your review and we look forward to seeing you back soon!
Food was amazing, service from Jade was superb! This is a really great pub for Sunday lunch, I highly recommend it.
Thanks so much Lucy! We hope you come back and see us soon!
Food was good (as ever) and the restaurant service was very attentive and pleasant. Restaurant was not al all busy, as it was a Monday but we still had a very good evening. The only issue was the bar which is a pub. A barman was very rude and offhand and clearly did not want to be there. It nearly cost the restaurant a booking. We will return however.
Hi, Thank you so much for your review and feedback from your visit. I am so sorry you had these issues at one of our venues. We would like to look into this further and so if you have a moment, could you send me some more details please? Many thanks Gemma email@example.com
It’s a shame we don’t live in the area otherwise this place could easily become our local. The food was good, the staff were friendly and prices were reasonable. We sat in the lovely beer garden which allowed our two year old to run riot.
Hi Chris, thank you for your lovely review! We do hope we see you back soon. Thanks Gemma
Great food, amazing service!
Very pleased to have found this place. Good Sunday roast. Friendly staff and lovely light and bright setting. Will recommend to friends.
This restaurant is excellent. The food was amazing while still feeling casual. The staff is amazing and the garden makes you want to sit out all day. I highly recommend- we went twice and can’t wait to come back when we’re in town!
Hi it was Sunday so a quiet night for my wife's birthday in the EPT. The welcome was good and they noted that it was her birthday - this resulted in a candle in her complementary cheesecake at the end which was a nice touch. (What would they have done if she hadn't had dessert?) Service was attentive but we were the only table for a while. The food choice is a bit limited. My main complaint is the lack of a beer list which is becoming the norm now especially in pubs that are also microbreweries. We had to get up and go to the bar to see what was available. Also my wife would have preferred a choice of tonic in her G&T but only Schweppes was available. Good but would have been excellent but a for a few small touches.
I live close to the Ealing Park Tavern and have been a few times now. I have always been impressed with the drinks selection, the quality of the food and the friendly, attentive staff. This time myself and my Family were served by Jade, and she couldn't have been a better waitress!
Have visited a few times but the Sunday roast was very disappointing. Extremely small portion! I am not a big eater but 2 slices of beef and a small Yorkshire pudding with a few potatoes isn’t really enough for £16.
Has this changed owners or management? I have been a few times before and the food was amazing. It just didn’t feel the same
Good service. Drinks good. Let down by the food. No roast beef at 7pm so opted for beef Wellington. Beef was over cooked to well done and a tiny portion for 22 pounds. Nice sides and gravy although cauliflower cheese was cold. I have been in the industry over 25 years and I know when a chef has thrown in the towel.
Wait staff never checked on meal satisfaction which indicates to me that they knew what the feedback would be.
Lovely, attentive staff. Very well-presented dishes. Tasty food, sometimes innovative. My favourite local pub for food.
Nice pub, someone had recommended the Sunday Roasts. Food was ok but really under seasoned. And the gravy was really watery. Which was disappointing. The service was also just ok. It took them 10 / 15mins before anyone took our drinks order. But they did give my partner a complimentary sticky toffee pudding for his dessert. As it was his birthday. Would go back to see what the regular menu was like. But won't be going for another roast.
EPT used to be a firm local favourite of mine but I was really disappointed with the Sunday roast I had at the weekend. The lamb was well below average and for that price I'd expect better and I think the pub could generally do with a bit of a facelift. I won't be returning in a hurry.
The service was slow coming, the food was overpriced for what it was. We used to visit the place a lot in the past, but the quality of service and food has gone done a lot, whilst the prices have gone up.
Nice restaurant with attentive waiting staff. We went on a Saturday night - the food was pleasant enough without being really very memorable. Unfortunately, the desserts really let things down. An eton mess with frozen fruit and a strange layer of jelly at the bottom. Plus a lemon & passion fruit chessecake that was too tart to be enjoyable. Overall, a nice enough dinner but lacked imagination, flair and thoughts as to how things were presented.
Mum said the Sunday roast was lovely but a little dry on the chicken and that the gravy didn’t taste like chicken gravy but beef instead. I sadly had the vegan sweet potato curry which was so bland... there was hardly any actual curry sauce besides what seemed like a water mix. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Only plus was the lovely staff and waiters who do a wonderful job making you feel welcome!
