Excellent food, however the service was very slow.
Excellent food, good service, shame that it was so noisy in the small annex off the bar.
Will be going again.
Very enjoyable. Highly recommend a visit
Food and service was good. A dog barking in the building did not add to the ambience.
Table quite near to bar , would have preferred to be more in the restaurant , apart from that food was good value and service good
Food excellent as usual, very enjoyable except it was a very noisey lunchtime,
but would still recommend the Ewe & Lamb
1st visit for Lunch , with friends . Amazing g food , my friend and I had the vegetarian option, Mushroom and Spinach Wellington , which was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented . Very comprehensive menu, Alacarte, SetMenu, and Lunch menu . Great value lovely setting , will certainly visit again , we would highly recommend, and we eat out an awful lot .
We very much enjoyed our lunch on Wednesday. Food was very good, we will return
Staff very efficient and friendly. Food excellent. Tables spaced out.
Food is always amazing here, service wasn’t the best as we finished our drinks before our meal and wasn’t able to get another drink due to waiters/waitresses been busy.
Perfect service perfect food and a thoroughly enjoyable experience
Brilliant as always xxxx
Roast potatoes were rock hard and the vegetables were cold.
Called in for a special treat for my wife and was no way disappointed.
I am allergic to garlic and I did tell the waitress before we ordered our meal and she went straight away and told the chef.
The meals came quickly and was perfect so was our dessert.
Would I recommend this pub for a meal ? Definitely.
Lovely meal with family- variety of food choices, good atmosphere, excellent service for the majority of the meal (slowed down quite considerably as the restaurant got busier)!
Very good venue, excellent menu with an appropriate range of drinks. Energetic well-informed staff who help create a good atmosphere.
The food here seems to be getting better and better but I tend to try and convince the wife to let us go elsewhere as the ale range is so tired and depressing. There’s only one modern IPA which is Sharps Atlantic (a mass produced waste of space). It’s a shame they don’t make any effort with the ales.
Excellent food with helpful and friendly staff. Recommended.
Have eaten here twice and love this pub. The staff are always friendly and the food always good.
Was brilliant, service was great and food was delicious
The food was very good and nicely presented.
Serving staff were polite and attentive.
A good experience all round.
Service excellent from meet and greet to taking orders and presenting food. Minor point I noticed my glass not clean and was quickly replaced with apologies. Warning - the posh hot dog is not a light lunch it is enormous and very tasty with salad and fabulous chips. We had this fearing we wouldn’t manage the two courses for £16. Have eaten there before and pleased to recommend again
A favourite venue for meeting friends. Good food, good company, excellent ambience and a very patient waitress.
Been here a few times in recent months. It has a lovely atmosphere and proven to be a very enjoyable experience on both occasions. It’s well worth a visit there’s a varied menu and food is at an excellent standard. The Ewe and Lamb comes highly recommended.
Ate in the covered outside area, bit breezy outside but warm in there.
We had a delicious roast dinner on Sunday. Food was really good and very good service. Will definitely go back again.
From the minute we walked in, we felt welcome. Excellent food & good portion sizes - all credit to the chef! Excellent waiting staff who’ve clearly been properly trained. There is also a lovely mix of eating areas (bar, two restaurants, covered outside area). The owners have clearly spent their time during the pandemic refining the place and making improvements. Congratulations… it’s worked! We will be back and we’ll be telling our friends too.
We were disappointed with the noise level. At times it was very uncomfortable.
Great choice of food on the the menu and I have to say I was impressed with both the presentation and the flavours - excellent!
Great welcome and service from Claire and team - thank you ☺
FOOD WAS VERY GOOD AND THE SERVICE WAS A LITTLE BIT SLOW BUT IT WAS QUITE BUSY. JUST WISH ENGLISH RESTURANTS WOULD BRING THE ESPRESSO COFFEE AFTER THE DESSERT NOT BEFORE.
The pub it self was really nice but it was really cold
Really tasty food with great flavours that would have taken a long time to prepare at home
What an outstanding lunch, one of the best meals I have had anywhere, we both ate off the special menu starting with scallops & crispy pork then Hake Kiev with sapphire & seaweed chips which were very fine crispy potato chips with crispy seaweed, we then shared a very indulgent chocolate pud with a liqueur coffee. Very attentive & friendly staff & it was nice not feeling rushed between courses... Looking forward to returning to try what I fancied off the set lunch menu 😊
Our first visit, only booked that morning so we had no choice of a table, we were seated near the bar and the area was quite cool, however the food and service made our visit a very pleasant one.
Great service. Great food and lovely surroundings
A real shame for this place as the food was heavenly. What let the experience down was the waiting...from the get go, waitress took ages to take our drink order, then the drinks that arrived were incorrect which led to more waiting. A couple came in after us and had their drinks ordered and delivered before us. Then 20 mins later we finally ordered our food, we waiting a whole hour before eating! After we had finished, we were sat waiting a further 15 mins to order dessert. My mom asked for custard on the side of her sticky toffee pudding and that was forgotten and surprise, it came as the dessert was nearly finished. The meal was a long drawn out affair, the food was amazing, service not so much...
My husband and I wanted to try somewhere new for Sunday lunch, I stumbled upon the Ewe and Lamb and liked the look of the menu.
Our table was at 17:30 and as with most places by the time of our booking there was no more beef, however, my husband opted for the chicken roast and I chose the hake kief. Neither meals disappointed. The service was fantastic and the food was served quickly and tasted delicious. The atmosphere was great and the staff were really friendly. We’d definitely go again.
To noisy outside in the Marquee, to many children running in and out. Would recommend eating inside the pub. Service on the slow side with the drinks and also got my daughters order completely wrong so three of us have to eat our meals while we waited 10 minutes for her order to be brought to our table.
Lovely , very tasty food and very generous portions
