Excellent food and service in very pleasant surroundings - my go to restaurant for any lunch dates
Sunday Lunch - roast beef with Yorkshire puddings was just gorgeous.
We went here for our date night and asked for a quiet corner.
On arrival we were taken to a table by the window just what we wanted.
As far as the food was concerned it was perfect and the wine and I must say the staff were a credit to the manager.
Overall would I recommend this pub YES.
The only issue we had with the meal was the over exuberance of the waitress. She asked for the drinks order before we were all at the table. She gave very little time to look at the menu and she came to remove the plates as soon as the last mouthful was finished. She was lovely but a little training would go a long way.
The food was very good
Food was absolutely beautiful, service was with a smile and they couldn’t be happier to help. Very enjoyable experience.
Only problem, through no fault of the restaurant, we were sat next to the noisiest table in the restaurant and struggled to hear each other.
Would highly recommend as food was melt in your mouth gorgeous!
Always great food. Servers are very welcoming and efficient. Good banter.
The food was OK, we weren't ask how we wanted our food cooked and as a result my partner had to leave some of her lamb as it was still bloody and chewy. The service was slow and so much so I had to go to the bar and chase up where our deserts were after waiting half an hour. I then had to go to the bar to request the bill, when all tables are meant to be table service, but I couldn't wait all night. I don't blame the staff there just wasn't enough of them for how busy it was. The food was OK but very expensive for what it was. You don't mind paying more if everything was delicious but like I said my partner had to leave some of her food.
Outstanding food and service. Love it here! I am gluten intolerant and the choice is great and dishes are delicious - I never want it to end! Compliments to the Chef! The service is impeccable too, overall an enjoyable experience from start to finish. Highly recommend
Super food, very good service , havent been fir a while but thoroughly enjoyd our visit.
Excellent food and service, well done all staff. Noise level was moderate which was due to some loud people at a nearby table, but it would have been quiet without them as there was no loud music playing.
The 3 of us all had excellent food and drinks which included rack of lamb, pork belly and beef Wellington. HPA, Doombar and Butty Back good too.
Lovely food. Good service. Everything was great.
Another great Sunday lunch.
Busy, but service was good and attentive. Felt safe, not over crowded.
This is a good run of the mill place to eat. The noise level was very disappointing and the food somewhat overpriced.
Excellent food, however the service was very slow.
Excellent food, good service, shame that it was so noisy in the small annex off the bar.
Will be going again.
Very enjoyable. Highly recommend a visit
Just wanted a quick lunch- food delicious and ambience good.
Lovely table in the window.
Food and service was good. A dog barking in the building did not add to the ambience.
Set menu on website stated detailed as being available until 6.30pm Table booked for 6.15pm then told no deal finished at 6pm had to show website then was told wedsite was incorrect and all food had been put away for the night - very suprising considering several items on set menu were on main menu provided. Following complaints set menu was then grudgingly provided by duty manager then told certain items not available so we decided to leave. Customer Service and attitude abysmal.
Table quite near to bar , would have preferred to be more in the restaurant , apart from that food was good value and service good
Food excellent as usual, very enjoyable except it was a very noisey lunchtime,
but would still recommend the Ewe & Lamb
1st visit for Lunch , with friends . Amazing g food , my friend and I had the vegetarian option, Mushroom and Spinach Wellington , which was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented . Very comprehensive menu, Alacarte, SetMenu, and Lunch menu . Great value lovely setting , will certainly visit again , we would highly recommend, and we eat out an awful lot .
We very much enjoyed our lunch on Wednesday. Food was very good, we will return
Staff very efficient and friendly. Food excellent. Tables spaced out.
Food is always amazing here, service wasn’t the best as we finished our drinks before our meal and wasn’t able to get another drink due to waiters/waitresses been busy.
Perfect service perfect food and a thoroughly enjoyable experience
Brilliant as always xxxx
Roast potatoes were rock hard and the vegetables were cold.
Called in for a special treat for my wife and was no way disappointed.
I am allergic to garlic and I did tell the waitress before we ordered our meal and she went straight away and told the chef.
The meals came quickly and was perfect so was our dessert.
Would I recommend this pub for a meal ? Definitely.
Lovely meal with family- variety of food choices, good atmosphere, excellent service for the majority of the meal (slowed down quite considerably as the restaurant got busier)!
Very good venue, excellent menu with an appropriate range of drinks. Energetic well-informed staff who help create a good atmosphere.
The food here seems to be getting better and better but I tend to try and convince the wife to let us go elsewhere as the ale range is so tired and depressing. There’s only one modern IPA which is Sharps Atlantic (a mass produced waste of space). It’s a shame they don’t make any effort with the ales.
Excellent food with helpful and friendly staff. Recommended.
Have eaten here twice and love this pub. The staff are always friendly and the food always good.
Was brilliant, service was great and food was delicious
The food was very good and nicely presented.
Serving staff were polite and attentive.
A good experience all round.
Service excellent from meet and greet to taking orders and presenting food. Minor point I noticed my glass not clean and was quickly replaced with apologies. Warning - the posh hot dog is not a light lunch it is enormous and very tasty with salad and fabulous chips. We had this fearing we wouldn’t manage the two courses for £16. Have eaten there before and pleased to recommend again
A favourite venue for meeting friends. Good food, good company, excellent ambience and a very patient waitress.
Been here a few times in recent months. It has a lovely atmosphere and proven to be a very enjoyable experience on both occasions. It’s well worth a visit there’s a varied menu and food is at an excellent standard. The Ewe and Lamb comes highly recommended.
