Food has gone downhill - breakfast
The menu was substantially reduced amd they didn't even have everything on that. Appreciate that Covid is to blame, but if they are open they should at least offer a reasonable menu.
Work brekkie and super quality affair it was. Great food and drink and served by wonderful staff.
Made a booking through OpenTable which was confirmed, then showed up at The Factory House at the booking time and it was closed.
It was not a busy restaurant, though the service from the waiting staff was lacklustre to say the least. We were a party of 5 people so not a huge group, but had to pay £35 for service. The staff couldn’t even pour water in glasses. Very poor.
Always great to get a booth. Service is good and friendly. Drinks are good but I am always a little underwhelmed with the breakfasts - and what is worth no butter in a bacon sandwich unless specifically requested?!
Perfect for a lunch in the city
Generally good experience, although one of our clients had to send a steak back due to a strange odour/taste and wait for another to be cooked. Manager removed this item from the bill though.
Great food, simple and unapologetic about being a place for meat lovers!
Good place for informal business meeting and good separation between tables
My wife and I have been here twice now and we enjoyed our food and time there both times. The staff are wonderful 🙂
Service was exceptional.
It was relatively quiet but the service was not oppressive and was good to see.
It’s a favourite place to meet and eat and the decor could do with some attention as it’s starting to look s little tired.
Leaving do
Good breakfast and atmosphere. Restaurant was empty for breakfast, and as a result would not expect the restaurant to seat all guests n top of each other.
Apart from that it was a good restaurant and will go back.
More vegetarian options would be good. Only 1 on the menu at the moment which isn’t ideal as a choice.
Good venue for a business lunch, was in a booth which is always more pleasant. The food was nicely presented and cooked with good service to back it up.
Good food. Good for a reasonably quick business lunch.
Good food and service and a go to place for breakfast!
Turned up for our breakfast booking at 830am. Seated promptly enough but having waited 15 mins for someone to take our order (including gesticulating politely at passing waiters) we gave up and left. On our way out we explained to one of the waitresses why we were leaving. She didn’t seem too bothered. Think they were understaffed but still this is a very poor show. I’ve been there before without issue and have other breakfast meetings booked there but will probably have to move those elsewhere after this awful experience.
Really disappointing breakfast.
The greeting from the reception was cold, sullen and unfriendly.
The table we were sat at was dirty as was the cutlery and cups that we were given
The service was slow and pretty unfriendly
The food was not memorable
When there is so much competition nearby, I see little reason to return
Once I had found The Factory House the whole experience from the service to the food was very good and now I know where it is I will be back!
Good food, pleasant service
One of our favourites. Good food, good service and pleasant, business, ambience.
We were served swiftly, always a bonus when having a business lunch.
Good food and atmosphere was good.
Excellent Chateaubriand and great service. Very friendly staff.
Despite its lavish claims the Factory House served up a pretty average steak. At £40 a head after bill padding, couldnt help but feel a tiny bit ripped off.
Good breakfast; quieter than lunchtime therefore ideal for business meeting.
You know how some restaurants get in a rhythm where things just work? This is where the Factory House is now - food very well done and my partner in lunch thought the vegetarian curry was as good as he'd had.
Ideal place for a breakfast meeting. Food excellent and service good too
Good food and selection but service a bit slow at breakfast times
the vodka collection and list of cocktails is impressive
Solid restaurant in the heart of the city - not cheap but good service and wine list
Nice choice on menu but the mussels weren't great, most were closed so not safe to eat and the ones that were open were tiny so I wouldn't choose that again. My friend had the sausage and mash and said that was much better.
Decent enough and nice and convenient central location. Service is fine, venue is smart and good is good but not great
Booked a table for 8.30 on Fri 6th Jan. Turned up on time to be told the kitchen had closed! Refused to open kitchen to serve ANY type of food for us. Offered us a meal on COVENT GARDEN...But refused to pay for us to get there!! Offered us a bottle of prosecco but withdrew the offer when we said we'd be writing a review on Open table! So called 'manager', Michele, was rude and unaccommodating. I'd advise anyone to avoid this place. They have no idea what customer service is!
Excellent food... Great surroundings... Fab atmosphere. Very enjoyable visit!!
Excellent service and good surroundings. Just unfortunate that a large proportion of the menu had sold out from lunch
A great place to go for work lunches, the food is consistent and the staff are the right amount of attentive. Your tastebuds aren't going to be on cloud nine but it's definitely fit for purpose. Great for drinks after work as well!
This is an excellent choice for a business meal in the city. Nice food and great service.
A very nice business meal, with good food, service and relaxed atmosphere
