A little inattentive and know body there to welcome you.
beautiful venue. traditional country pub but converted to serve gastro style. nicely hosted. a warm atmosphere welcomes you. we had a table of 4 (2 adults 2 children) for 30.06.19 @830pm. it was quite warm at the table - there didn't seem to be any air control. there was no music, just the sound of 3 other tables. i didn't actually twig that till later though. had to ask for the wine list? normally a red wine drinker as there was quite a few fishy dishes we chose a bottle of Sancerre as my wife likes that. a good selection of wines. for me i like to serve my wine at the appropriate temperature to its body and weight. so a crisp Sancerre for me personally, is better served at nearer 5/6 deg. to really enjoy though appreciate 7 deg. is normal for this sort of wine. i asked if the Sancerre was 'well chilled' until it got to the preferred temperature - at which point i very much enjoyed the wine. we had the salmon and scallops to start - the scallops were amazing. cooked to perfection. all of the food was very good and enjoyable with excellent attention to detail. So it should be for the prices they charge. if i was being super fussy - front of house does not marry at all with the price they charge and needs to be worked on. just the smaller details. when the waiter took the order - explaining things clearly wasn't great and i asked the waiter back to ensure we hadn't double ordered due to the menu style; we hadn't. the waiters pouring the wine poured too fast. one even poured with his finger supporting the neck which for a fine dining experience didn't really match. 3/4 of the way through our wine, we had finished our food. we were asked for coffee which we accepted. at that point no further wine was poured and it was left, we had to pour it ourselves. not what you would expect at this level.
A wonderful experience. From the first moment of being greeted by the Landlord through to excellent service and sophisticated food options this was a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Well done to the team at the Feathered Nest!!
Absolutely amazing meal at a lovely restaurant.
Food was superb, very attentive helpful staff .
Beautiful and unique dining experience! The food was fantastic and the service was extraordinary. Wine list is extensive and complete. Highly recommend.
Mixed feelings. The food was good but the restaurant is poor value and was largely empty on a Bank Holiday week end
As always, great food and service. It really is one of the best places to dine in the Cotswolds!
Really special food, and exceptional vegetarian selections. Thoughtful, attentive, service and superb wine list courtesy of Coravin. Look forward to returning.
A special place to take someone special.
Amazing setting, service and menu.
Almost a Michelin star in a fantastic setting.
I would recommend the Feathered Nest for very tasty and well presented food and great service. We tried the tasting menu of 4 courses and had a selection of very good dishes. The salmon and beetroot starter was very flavoursome with interesting addition of delicate gel and sauces. The brill with mussels in a buerre sauce was outstanding and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his choices. Each dish had been very carefully presented and had a good selection of accompanying gels or sauces to bring a delight of flavours. Very well balanced and tasty food a real treat.
Fantastic service 😁
The Feathered Nest is a delight. The food is exceptional and the staff are superb. Not a cheap night out but for a special occasion it would be my first choice every time. Better than some Michelin starred restaurants run by famous chefs.
The best restaurant we have ever been to.
Service, everything was perfect.
Normally no complaints would give
It 5 star but the service this time was very slow and it really
Was a long wait between courses and thought the food wAs overpriced for what it was seemed to be plenty of waiting staff perhaps delay wAs in kitchen
A fantastic meal on Mothering Sunday, very busy as expected but all expectations were met. Would highly recommend and return in the near future.
Amazing meal, attentive service in a beautiful surrounding. Atmospheric pub - the Cotswolds at their best. Very idyllic.
Inventive delicious creations, beautifully presented.
We visited the feathered nest to celebrate our wedding anniversary as we got married there 3 years ago
Fantastic food great staff and perfect venue . A wonderful experience x would highly recommend
Service was faultless. From Carl in the bar to all the team in the restaurant.
Relaxed, attentive, delicious food and wonderful location. Will be going back.
Everything was fantastic, except for the price of drinks. Drinks can be quite pricey, including soft drinks. Its a high price restaurant which I think the service and food are worth it, but not the drinks.
Lovely meal, fantastic local ingredients and able to cater for a gluten free diner with zero fuss.
Will be back. Thanks again
I may be a bit biased because I have just moved into the area, but we really enjoyed Valentines night at the Feathered Nest.
Beautiful location, rally nice atmosphere, very friendly and professional staff that rally understand the menu, fab food - will definitely return again as a treat.
Also worth noting the bar area is very relaxed and stylish, and it’s dog friendly for well behaved dogs
The most delicious Sunday lunch ever!
I literally couldn’t fault The Feathered Nest.
The staff are not only charming, but are all properly trained and nothing was too much trouble.
We were served drinks by the cosy fire with nibbles and then shown to our table for our amuse bouche of spicy pumpkin soup. I had the smoked salmon for starter, followed by the roast beef, which was cooked to perfection and the roast potatoes were utterly delicious. Pudding was an exquisite chocolate creation and melted in the mouth.
When our bill arrived at the same time a little birds nest arrived with four yummy chocolate eggs.
A 3 course Sunday lunch cost £55 and was worth every penny.
Went for a special lunch with my father. It was quiet on a Thursday lunchtime but this was good for us as we could talk easily and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding Cotswold countryside. We chose the set lunch menu and each chose diffently so got to see the whole range of the menu. Also shared a charcuterie plate to start which was explained in detail by the chef and every item on it was very tasty. All of the food was delicious and beautifully presented - and the amuse bouche of curried sweet potato soup and popadoms was a lovely extra, as was the basket of warm, homemade bread and petit fours. Efficient and friendly service. Very much recommended and make sure you go along hungry to fully appreciate!
Wonderful gem amazing food and a wonderful wine list . You can stay the night too .
Incredible food and attentive, charming service in a beautiful setting. The set lunch menu provides a perfect amount of food at a very reasonable price for the excellent quality. The charcuterie board is fantastic!
Exceptional meal and service at The Feathered Nest, thank you very much.
As always The Feathered Nest delivers ! Spectacular cooking. Great service and a stunning pub. Fabulous. Back very soon !!
The Feathered Nest is a fantastic restaurant. The laid back atmosphere of a local restaurant, with service and food that is world class. Our favourite restaurant (and we go to quite a few!)
Absolutely incredible! Great food, amazing ambience and incredible service. A real gem and the highlight of our Cotswolds trip.
We enjoyed another fabulous meal at the Feathered Nest on Christmas Eve. Exceptional food and service at a very reasonable price considering the quality of the meal.
The Feathered Nest never ceases to please. Ambiance perfect. Team are outstanding and the food is sensational
Fabulous food, wonderful cosy warm and welcoming environment, wonderful for a special occasion.
Very cosy and good food for a country pub
Great service and wonderful menu - highly recommended
Great Sunday lunch
Loved this place. Cosy country pub with a well executed tasting menu and friendly staff.
Really enjoyed being seated by the fire for a pre-dinner drink and snacks.
Every dish was delicious and we were made to feel very welcome by the team.
