The most delicious Sunday lunch ever!
I literally couldn’t fault The Feathered Nest.
The staff are not only charming, but are all properly trained and nothing was too much trouble.
We were served drinks by the cosy fire with nibbles and then shown to our table for our amuse bouche of spicy pumpkin soup. I had the smoked salmon for starter, followed by the roast beef, which was cooked to perfection and the roast potatoes were utterly delicious. Pudding was an exquisite chocolate creation and melted in the mouth.
When our bill arrived at the same time a little birds nest arrived with four yummy chocolate eggs.
A 3 course Sunday lunch cost £55 and was worth every penny.

Went for a special lunch with my father. It was quiet on a Thursday lunchtime but this was good for us as we could talk easily and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding Cotswold countryside. We chose the set lunch menu and each chose diffently so got to see the whole range of the menu. Also shared a charcuterie plate to start which was explained in detail by the chef and every item on it was very tasty. All of the food was delicious and beautifully presented - and the amuse bouche of curried sweet potato soup and popadoms was a lovely extra, as was the basket of warm, homemade bread and petit fours. Efficient and friendly service. Very much recommended and make sure you go along hungry to fully appreciate!

We just don’t go to this wonderful restaurant enough !! As we arrived, we realised we hadn’t been back for months and having pre dinner drinks, sitting on the terrace , looking at the breath-taking landscape, we reminded ourselves just how special this place actually is. Restaurant was pretty full and buzzy. The building is lovely, period Cotswold Stone Malthouse, beautifully and sympathetically renovated with fabulous interior design. The new format menu, where you order 4,5 or more courses, is inspired and brilliant - reminds us of ‘back in the day’ Ménage á Trois, in Beachamp Place, where you could order as many startes or deserts as you liked. But this is more modern: Kuba and his team’s cooking is spectacular. We ordered four courses each and each dish was so special, a taste sensation - Portions are perfect size so 5 courses would not be difficult ! Next time ! Amanda, Tony and their team are seriously great and attention to detail is perfect. We absolutely will be back, but in weeks, not months. Love The Feathered Nest

A return visit and yet again it does no disappoint. I love this place for its coziness, really lovely and hospitable service. The fabulous food is faultless. Kuba is a genius. Even though we had the roast beef which is a traditional roast, there’s always a slight surprise inside the yourkahire pudding and the passion fruit soufflés are to die for. My favourite restaurant and after Sunday still a favourite. I’m be returning very soon. Thank you!!

Food was excellent and matched our expectations having read other reviews. Service, although very polite, needs to be improved as it was quite slow. 3-course lunch meal should not take 2.5 hours.

The welcome from Carl was extremely warm and friendly yet equally very professional. His manner and style set the tone and the excellent atmosphere which was relaxed yet extremely knowledgable on the wine and food menu’s
We loved the menu with all dishes just mouth watering - the Sika cappacio, Kid and Boar were unbelievable and when you thought it couldn’t get any better the sweets wowed you with the Chocolate and Ovaltine just top. Top restaurant with right blend of Fine Dining in warm friendly atmosphere. Carl and the team - Thank you

Not the best or worse food I’ve had, arrived at 7.45 and got to our table gone 9pm, left restaurant at 11.20, don’t think the current system in place works, if dining there be prepared for a long evening, chairs in restaurant very uncomfortable, acquired taste food wise. Expensive for taster portions . ‘James Martin go back and try the menu now 7/4/18 and let me know my friends in Icomb did say don’t bother .

Wonderful food, beautiful presentation of every dish and all tasted absolutely delicious. Couldn’t fault it. Really excellent value for money.
HOWEVER, the service is terrible. When we arrived our table wasn’t ready (despite booking 2 months before and having 2 confirmation calls in the week prior) and 15 minutes later we were sat, but still had to wait another 15 to have our table actually laid and our order taken. We explained that we would prefer our meals to come as soon as possible as we had our baby with us, but 1 hour after arriving we just got our starter. The waiters were either clueless or arrogant and rude. None were at all warm, friendly or apologetic for the situation.
Real shame as the food is so good but I doubt we’d return after our experience.

We went to celebrate my wife and her twin sisters birthdays and we all had the most wonderful meal and dining experience. From the canapés in the bar to the tasting menu with matching wines it was a fantastic.
The staff were attentive and extremely knowledgeable and couldn’t do more for us.
This is the second time we have been and both times were exceptional.

What a fantastic experience. The Feathered Nest gets everything absolutely spot on, from the personal call from Carl the day before to check on food allergies, the warm cosy bar, the stunning views, the friendly knowledgeable staff (with just the right level of attentiveness) the quality of the wine list, the incredible, delicious, inventive menu to our jackets being gently warmed in front of the log fire for our departure. Absolutely perfect!

Absolutely excellent evening at the Feathered Nest! The food was superb - we had the 6 course Nest menu which was top notch. The 4 course would have been enough food but the menu was too good to not experience 6 each. We were greeted with canapes in the bar, amuse bouche after being seated and fresh bread before the menu even started! I think the food is Michelin starred standard! The pub setting is also great, not stuffy or pretentious with roaring log fire before and after the meal. The dining room did seem a bit quiet for a Saturday evening which was surprising, but the service was perfect and general ambiance was otherwise good. We would definitely return to have lunch (we didn't get to see the supposedly great views in the dark) and I would recommend to any food lovers!
