wonderful setting , best beef i have had in along long time
Despite it being a cold, rainy day, we thoroughly enjoyed our al-fresco lunch. Fleecy rugs kept us warm along with a few outdoor heaters. Service was excellent. My husband's pudding came before the rest, which seemed a bit odd, and we were then told that it should have gone to a neighbouring table, who had ordered the same, so there were apologies all round. When the rest of our puddings came they brought my husband another one so that he wouldn't feel left out which we thought was a very nice touch. And yes, he ate it.
Wonderful food, fabulous, friendly service with a stunning view.
Top class dining with a very unpretentious setting and atmosphere. Cannot wait to eat there again. It’s an hour from my house, but worth every mile of the drive when you know what is at the finishing post :-) Thank you
Excellent food, excellent service excellent drinks..... they could do with having more outside heaters, but we kept snuggly under the blankets provided. Excellent vegan menu !
Absolutely my favourite pub in the Cotswolds. Great person service, beautiful setting, delicious great-quality food. One of the best outside dining experiences we’ve had, heaters, blankets, protected area. Pricey but worth it!
Gorgeous setting which was sadly
At near £30 for halibut main it was frankly overcooked particularly for what is a firm fish
The side dishes £7-8 each were mean and not for sharing. You finish up paying almost £45 for your main - crazy particularly when service casual and haphazard and lacking situation awareness
I would not return as there are many excellent gastro pubs in the area with quality food at a reasonable price
Visited on a sunny day in April for lunch but sadly all diners had to sit under a shaded canopy which didn't offer any of the warmth from the sun so we were all wrapped in blankets trying to keep warm. It was so frustrating that diners couldn't sit out on the grass area reserved for drinkers which would have made it a much more pleasurable experience.
Our mains were good, desserts less so and when I commented on this to our waitress she wasn't concerned one bit.
It was our 30 wedding anniversary the overall experience was excellent unfortunately it was very cold one cannot change that thank you very much
The quality of the food was high and the setting is wonderful but there were aspects of the service which should have been better at the price charged, e.g. part of drink order was forgotten although a free drink was eventually provided and generally a disorganised service.
Very, very slow service. Told in response to allergy question that one of our party had a nut allergy, and their dessert appeared with ... nuts, not mentioned on the menu. Staff heard arguing among themselves. Shame cos the food was very good.
Beautiful food with a wonderful view. Perfect location for a birthday meal on a sunny day.
We dine at the Feathered Nest twice a year for birthday celebrations. It has always been a memorable dining experience. Our visit this year was excellent, the service was a bit slow but I'm assuming post lockdown that a lot of the staff, although very pleasant , were new to the job. Overall excellent as usual
Incredible food in a fabulous setting. The service was outstanding and the view was breath taking. We will 100% be back. Thank you for a perfect experience.
Food exceptional. Views great. Non alcoholic drink options poor. Heater not working. Piped music unnecessary and irritating.
Lovley food, lovely location, staff were great, particularly with all the new covid rules, food was very expensive but delicious!
Best relaxed dining in the Cotswolds.
Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and views. Expansive grass area for kids to run around. Excellent walks nearby, dog and child friendly whilst still adult friendly too!
Came for a birthday meal. The setting was beautiful, first time visiting. Can really appreciate the effort that was made for reopening- outdoor space was gorgeous. A few things let our experience down, both our fish was over cooked which was not enjoyable, the heating under the gazebo was only on one side so meant for a VERY cold evening. Blankets were provided but just wasn’t enough. Asked to move at the start but was not able to accommodate- just one of those things at the moment unfortunately. Just think that when your paying a 3 figure bill you really do want to leave knowing it was worth it.
Will definitely return, the service was wonderful and the canapés were a great touch also. x
Fantastic food and a good use of the space on the patio. It will be even better when the warmer weather is with us
Excellent Xmas lunch seven course meal, couldnt eat all of it but was delicious nonetheless ... well done to all at the fethered n’est. And happy Xmas ....
Lovely Christmas lunch - delicious menu and festive atmosphere
Wonderful. I hope that lockdown does not get in the way of this gem for long.
Best food outside of London. An experience to remember. Loved the music too!
Our first time eating here and the food was excellent, a little on the quiet side due to Covid restrictions but lovely venue. Delicious food, would definitely recommend.
What a delightful place. The decor was imaginatively eclectic. The staff friendly, chatty, helpful and efficient. The food delicious and imaginative. I would definitely seek an opportunity to return!
We always have a pre Christmas lunch here as it’s such a beautiful restaurant with great service.
We missed the roast potatoes and parsnips this year hence four starts not five other than that it was lovely.
We acknowledge that times are hard; but we felt that the food was expensive; particularly for the very simplest of dishes.
Nevertheless it was delicious.
Despite all the current challenges we had a wonderful evening in the most stunning setting. The staff were delightful and very attentive and the food - we had the tasting menu- was truly memorable. We were assisted in choosing a suitable wine, which proved an excellent accompaniment to the delicious dinner.
We have already booked a birthday stay with dinner for next April and we can’t wait to return.
Great food. Great place. Great staff.
Would highly recommend a visit
Beautiful food in a beautiful place. Wonderful service too.
Really lovely meal, excellent food. They accomodated our 7 and 9 year old children, including our daughter’s specific dietary requirements really well.
Really enjoyed the 6 tasting evening menu! Staff is very attentive and helpful.
Our first time at The Feathered Nest and sadly quite disappointed. Perhaps expectations were set too high. They gave some lovely complimentary starters and the scallop dish was great however main course options were not that appealing and were quite average. No lamb or lobster as per the online sample menus. A vegetarian main dish at £30 seemed very steep. Service was patchy- sometimes fantastic or just not great at all depending on whose attention you caught. Dessert menu was offered very late and by then it was time to get the bill. Expected a lot more in terms of service and options for the price.
Great Saturday lunch. Thank you to the chef and the friendly. We definitely come back soon.
This is a must-visit place. Food absolutely stunning (we had the tasting menu). Service and ambience just perfect. We also stopped overnight which topped it off perfectly, and the breakfast was the perfect end. We will return!
Lovely Sunday lunch - will definitely be back!
Beautifully presented food, delicious to eat with plenty of choice. Great countryside views. Good service and felt very covid safe.
Warm welcome, very attentive service and superb food. The menu was better than the one on the website and a great wine list from reasonable ‘by the glass’ right up to £££ fine wines. Our third visit here and we will definitely be back. Staff did a great job under the current circumstances too.
We had a beautiful anniversary meal the the Feathered Nest, beautiful food and wonderful friendly service!
The food was outstanding. The only slight criticism would be that the service was sometimes a little slow. i.e. we were waiting a little while for side dishes to accompany courses, when they should have been brought out at the same time as the main dish, or shortly afterwards. Only slight niggle though, otherwise very good indeed.
