   Relaxed lunch - not rushed. Excellent service. Nice ambience on a hot day. Food very good, only very marginally off excellent because i felt the steak was a little small for the price - in other words i enjoyed it sufficiently to want more!!

   A pleasant pub on the edge of Wimbledon Common, dog friendly which was important. Not too busy (surprisingly) and car parking nearby was free (unexpected for the weekend). The food certainly met expectations - nice Sunday roast, well cooked, pleasant staff. Nothing would put us off going there again

    I went to the Fox and Grapes 4 years ago and had a lovely meal with few friends so I decided to take a friend for dinner on the 17 June. The first change I noticed was that the table didn't have a table cloth and had not been cleaned properly. There was a sticky area left on the table by the last customer(s). I ordered the sea bass which was good but my friend chose the chicken and it was tasteless and rubbery. One of the worst I have ever tasted. My friend tried to eat to be polite but gave it up because it was really bad. We mentioned it to the female waiter and she apologised but didn't offer to bring something else instead or remove it from the bill. Then I asked for some water and 15 minutes later I had to remind the waiter again as she had forgotten all about it. Clearly the management has changed and the whole experience was very different. I am not planning to go back there again.

    Very good restaurant, it is certainly not a pub in the old sense. The salmon starter was spartan but tasty featuring some strange but edible maroon coloured crisps. Bread would have been an equally unhealthy option, the road not taken by Robert Frost but at least he had the option. The tour de force was the Pork Belly main course complete with crackling, yum yum in the old tum tum. Absolutely flawless. My dessert was a creme caramel with berries, excellent presentation and quite delicious. The wine list screams that they know how to charge here, but Bardolino and Picpoul are available at just about reasonable cost. The staff are friendly, affable and of a most pleasant disposition.

    Food has always been amazing. I don’t know it they changed chef or owner, but was so average and my burger was salty and super overcooked, my daughters pesto pasta was brown looking. Too bad! :(

    Really nice food, but really poor service. The food itself was good and we enjoyed it but there seemed to be no interest in making the evening enjoyable. Service was either disinterested or surly.

    Excellent food (sausage & mash) in a great setting. My friend had the recommended wine drunk by Michael Caine the night before! I had Wimbledon IPA, also very good.

    Our order didn’t arrive due to a mistake there was a table of 15 behind us that took all the attention of the staff and noise levels with the children were an issue.
