I expected better. Overpriced. A la carte. Main course was one piece of chicken was good and came with a few pieces of broccoli. Got the pre theater 3 course dinner. Salad was a spring mix. Most of the desserts had nuts which I am allergic to. Not worth 42.00.
We had to wait a bit to be seated in the sunroom which I’m sure was warm during the day, however, was cold in the evening. Although very pleasant, there were too many wait staff for one experience which caused a billing error since one gave us the theatre price and the one who brought the check didn’t. Food was OK. The lemon grass, leek soup was flavorless. Drinks were pricey and the noise from next door was so loud and annoying; it was closing time for them. Sorry.
Great meal, as always. I had the tasting menu this time, which was terrific.
We had a lovely mid week dinner. Highlights were the roasted duck, truffle fries and an outstanding chocolate dessert. The wait staff were all friendly and accommodating.
Nice ambiance and attentive service although there seemed to be a problem with getting orders from the bar. Food was good overall — the gnocchi was beautifully made but the dish was under seasoned. We happened to be seated near a large noisy table in the back of the restaurant which was unfortunate.
As always, we had an excellent dining experience at The Frog and the Peach. Both the appetizers (Spanish octopus and caramelized bone marrow) and entrees (caccio e peppe and hanger steak with chanterelle mushrooms) were cooked to perfection. The wines by the glass (a Sancerre and a Pinot Noir) and the lavender fig tart desert were excellent too. The service was impeccable.
Lovely location for a business lunch. We interviewed a candidate there. Food was perfect, environment nice and bright in the atrium section. Only minor (very minor) suggestion was there seemed to be multiple people helping us which was a little confusing when it came to ordering. But everyone was lovely and we will most certainly be back.
Have been wanting to try The Frog and the Peach for a while. Met a business colleague for dinner. We were seated in the Garden room, which was very quiet and quaint. Nice wine list, not extensive for CA wines, but offered good choices. Food and service was excellent.
We went for the 5 course tasting menu with the wine pairings 😖. First off the lead server kore the back up server knew anything abput the food or wine ( all fortified with 3 back to back sherries 😖. Food was eatable but not even one wow in 5 courses🤷♂️. Carrots as app were good but i think the Chef was hoping to fill me up on carrots. And again i say the wine pairing sucked. Second course of Elk carpaccio (best dish of the bunch) had whole juniper berries sprinkled all over the plate over bearing the flavor of the elk. And you couldn’t get around them!! The mushroom risotto had no mushrooms and no flavor. Octopus was OK needed seasoning pork belly over braised. Wine selection sucked!!
Nice night out. Service while super friendly was a little casual for the price of the meal.
Everything was delicious! We decided to leave our normal area of date night dinners and travel a little more to try something new, and we were not disappointed!
The food was very good, but I cannot justify spending almost $20 on a pear salad that might have had $3 worth of ingredients. It was a few leaves, a few bites of pear and cheese. The plate held less than a cup. My cocktail arrived at the table with only club soda and no alcohol, which did get resolved. The gnocchi were delicious, and it was a decent portion for the dinner size. The chicken liver Liver pate was also delicious. I would probably go back for a special occasion.
Great food, but really noisy. If you’re going to theater 🎭 its worth the noise.
We went for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The Tuna Sashimi (tartar) was good. The cheese board was awesome. I was surprised how well balanced the truffle honey with pine nuts was. They are not three ingredients that I would have thought to put together. They were both beautifully presented. I had the Scallop Po’ boy. It was well constructed and very tasty. My husband had the octopus entree. He said it was tasty but there was not enough for the price. Overall, we enjoyed the meal.
When we went we thought it might be a little crazy going to this place with out 4 kids... but we couldn’t resist! The food was great and our kids (ages 3-10) surprisingly loved it. The waiters were great with and were very nice and playful too. And the bill for 6 people was also not as high as we thought it would be. I also loved how there was three different options of what water we could order! So fun 100% recommended for a family!

Parking was extremely difficult. Valet was full and so were all the lots nearby. Menu is a little odd to navigate. Service was lacking for an upscale restaurant. Dress code wasn’t enforced. Food portions were better than expected, fresh and tasty. I wouldn’t run back though.
Long time customer at The Frog. Been a while since we have been here. Atmosphere is always nice, service was good, food was also good, but prices are relatively high compared to other high end restaurants.
Amazing food and great service
The food was good and plenty, but for this money you also want an excellent meal. Nice selection of wine and a great atmosphere and design. Really enjoyed the evening! The dessert were amazing.
This was the worst meal we had at the Frog and Peach since we started going in 1993. Gnocchi app was tasteless. Med tenderloin came out well done. Salmon was raw. After being the special occasion go to restaurant for over 20 years, I think it is time to find another.
Always come to expect innovative and delicious food here - this last experience was just mediocre. Offerings were a little bit bland. Service was pleasant but hard to find at times, and they offered no insight or information on the food, and did not even identify the cheeses on the cheese plate. But it's possible Valentine's Day dinner is not a good night to judge either food or service.
Valentine's Prix fixe menu was a surprise since it wasn't posted online. At $89/pp, it was NOT a good value with the selection available (they were items from the regular dinner menu, nothing special to justify the price hike). Do not go here for Valentine's Day.
Another delightful meal at the F&P. However, the dessert tart was as hard as a rock (the figs and ice cream were fine), and had to be broken apart. When we informed our waiter (when he inquired how the dessert was), he graciously comped it. Good customer service.
Lovely experience. However, when I arrive for my noon reservation, I was informed that the sandwich menu was not available. It was strange to say the least. The server was apologetic and a wee bit embarrassed, too.
Service was very slow for not being crowded. Once, seated and ready to order, we were notified that unfortunately we couldn't order anything for the sandwich menu .. did not give a reason why (assuming the bread order didn't come in), so you had a limited number of items to order from.
Four of us ordered the Flank Steak - 2 medium well and 2 medium rare. They all came medium rare, we were on a time crunch so we did not send the food back. Not very appetizing at all. They other two folks at our table ordered the gnocchi and one ordered the scallops - they stated it was good.
I personally would not go back to the restaurant.
We were seated on the upper section of the upper floor. The ambience was clearly not the same as on the first floor. Also, the service was similarly deficient. While our initial food came out in a reasonable amount of time, we waited an unreasonable amount of time to order dessert and pay the check despite their knowledge that we needed to catch a play. Our waiter actually never did come back to our table, but we were able to order dessert and get the check from another waiter. The food was prepared well, but the portions were comically small. We ordered the lamb roulinade which was a tiny cylinder of lamb maybe 2" in diameter and less than two inches high. It would have been small for an appetizer, let alone a $24 main entree. We also paid $9 for what was written on the menu as truffle fries. Perhaps an expert might have detected some inclusion of truffle or truffle oil, but that was beyond my ability to detect. They were simply well prepared french fries. Maybe they were worth about $4.00 or even $5.00 in a pricey restaurant. We also paid $9.00 for brussel sprouts.
Was a wonderful evening and the food, drinks and service and ambiance were soot on as usual. Thank you so much!
