A great place to eat - very good food and excellent service. Staff always offer a warm welcome
Bad service spoiled the whole experience. Please hire better waiters.
Nice food but service very slow and inattentive, forgot to bring out a few items that we ordered. Good atmosphere but I don't think we'd go back due to the service.
We came here for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere as soon as we walked in was so welcoming and very relaxed, the staff couldn’t do enough to keep us happy and the food! Well the food was amazing, we couldn’t fault it in any way at all, if you want good food then I would highly recommend here, only thing is it is quite pricey, we didn’t mind paying the price as it was worth it but it’s not a place you would just go to for an evening out every week. As I mentioned above, we didn’t mind paying it as it was soo worth it.
Fantastic food and great atmosphere. Lovely staff, we will be back
Food and service and ambience was great. Really enjoyed - thanks!
Booked for a family 7 of us in total. Great food a service. Where happy to extend the time we had the table for to allow time for dessert
Freezing cold, didnt enjoy the sardine starter and we really had to shout to be heard.
Very disappointing meal. The food was average and the Chef was literally shouting and swearing at the waitress in a rude and aggressive manner. Appalling.
Amazing food, really lovely team and small venue which guarantees a feeling of intimacy and simplicity.
The specials for the day are always something you should go for!
Really wonderful wee restaurant - food is top notch
Service was really poor, took ages for initial order to be taken, every course took more than 35mins+ to be served. At the end of meal had to cancel drinks order because it never came (this and service charge was removed from bill) which had to be asked bill twice. All specials were sold out for a 6.45 booking.
Service was incredibly poor and slow.
Food was nice, but potatoes and veg were reused and soggy. Truffle & Brie cauliflower cheese was the winner as it was fresh.
Great food, great atmosphere! Would definitely recommend and investigate the fabulous fish and seafood specials.
The service is quite slow and some of the wait staff seemed a bit uncertain as to what they were doing.
The food was good and there is always a good atmosphere in there.
It’s not as good as it used to be. The food is average but extortionate. We got unlucky and were seated near a VERY loud group. One of the people in the group laughed like The Joker…maybe he was The Joker.
The booth we were in was very tight….if the food was as good as it used to be, then I’m sure none of this would have mattered. But it wasn’t.
Service was great though!
Attentive service and a quiet comfortable table at the far end, worth requesting. Sourdough with smoked butter was lovely and the house steak beautifully cooked, tasty and tender. Two hours wasn’t long enough but we knew the limit ahead of going and we were slow.
Great venue, attentive service, superb food
Always a great choice on the menu simple but delicious, never disappoints!
This is a brilliant restaurant, amazing food and service and a great atmosphere. Snow was so helpful and friendly, as were all of the staff. Definitely going back next time we are down
Very poor experience overall, service was terrible, food was cold. Very disappointing.
The roast here is a family favourite and as a pescatarian it was good to have a roast option. The falafel and mushroom Wellington was incredible.
Love the food, atmosphere and service here
Been to The Garrison a few times. Nice ambiance and always good food and service. Look forward to returning!
Great relaxed spot for catching up with friends. Really good food and great atmosphere
Every meal so far has been amazing - great food, great drink and great staff. Olly (hopefully I’ve spelt it the right way) and his team have done an amazing job. Start with the Garrison Spritz - you can’t go wrong!
Lovely food and very attentive staff. Would seriously recommend.
Amazing food. Brilliant service. So helpful and friendly. My friend whose birthday it was has a nut allergy and quizzed the waitress quite vigorously. She took it in her stride and was super kind and patient. Highly recommend this little gem.
Excellent food, served by relaxed yet attentive staff.
Atmosphere is top and location very good.
We Will come back.
The Garrison is a lovely place-however I do feel that the food is a little on the expensive side for what you actually get. Great service and ambience though!
The Garrison is an exciting and atmospheric place to wine and dine.
Delightful inside and situated in one of the most charismatic parts of London.
We are regulars and this bright and imaginative restaurant has never disappointed us or fallen below standards previously experienced.
Th Garrison is one of our favourite places to eat and it lived up to our expectations.
Amazing Sunday roast and great staff
Ambience and food were incredible. Wine list with options of all price ranges. Our server could have been a lot more attentive, but nevertheless, I had a very nice experience.
We had a really good evening the food was excellent, the menu is relatively short but the quality of presentation and cooking is top class. We’ve been a couple times recently and it’s consistently good quality. New favourite restaurant!
It was my first time at The Garrison, and I really enjoyed it, as did the friends we took there. Our waitress was very new and struggled a bit at first, but the staff as a whole were lovely and very attentive. Especially the manager. The food was very tasty and the whole place had a lovely vibe.
We will definitely go back - probably with the dog next time. It’s great to find a nice local restaurant that’s also dog-friendly
Whilst the service was friendly our brunch experience was that of okay. The optional menu started of well with avocado and tomatoes on toast but the second course was lacking in love. The Fish finger sandwich was fine but the chips most unenjoyable and the portion sizes far too large. Such a shame as it was a huge treat for my sister to be away for the weekend in London and this was overall an under whelming experience.
Enjoyed dinner there as usual, particularly the dessert
For 6pm on a Friday night, walking into a restaurant of empty tables, I was shocked to feel as rushed as we were. I appreciate that you had a table coming in at 8pm, but we did not need to be told this (more than once, like it was a burden)
We did not need to be hurried into ordering, we did not need to be made to feel like we were the first sitting.
Perhaps it could all be solved with just backing your chefs to deliver the (delicious, well presented) food in time & your team to follow steps of service from the start. We would have been done within the 2 hours, we would have had a fantastic time, and we would return.
However, we will not. And a bill for £270 for 3 people means that not only will we be telling our friends and colleagues that you rushed us, but that you rushed us for £90ph.
Lovely Waitress from Brazil was charming and made our visit special, we had lunch on the 15th of October.
Great pub, food wasn’t as good as usual so we were a little disappointed. However, service was great.
