About The George and Dragon
In the backstreets of Sandwich sits this little gem of a pub. It oozes charm and character, with its sun trapped picturesque courtyard where you can enjoy a quiet pint choosing from the many different guest ales we have to offer. The pub has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, whilst also being a lively place to dine, with great traditional food being served with a modern twist. The outstanding food is complemented by excellent service from friendly and informative staff.

The George and Dragon Ratings and Reviews
My partner and I came here on Wednesday (30th Aug '17) for my birthday and we had a fantastic experience. We've recently moved to Sandwich and had heard the G&D was still as good as it was last time we visited, 12 years previous. We were not disappointed! Smashing Wine List (the White Rioja was fabulous), great variety on the food menu and the food was both presented and cooked perfectly, very attentive and fantastic staff both at the bar and restaurant service plus a romantic ambience, so we left feeling wonderful! I have no doubt we will be regular diners here from now on!
The food was mouth-wateringly good. Only decorum stopped us from licking our plates clean. The service was very prompt, knowledgeable and always smiling.
We've been going here for 4 years now and the standard never dropped. We are always recommending this little gem as we live local, and have never been disappointed.
Highly recommended and with their changing seasonal menu, there's always something new for your taste buds.
We went to this pub on recommendation and I am very glad we did. We booked a table for four and were placed cosily next to an open fire. It was nice and busy with people of all ages, it was a good job we had booked as they were having to turn people away.
Service was excellent, both attentive and polite. The food was really good and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed the meal . A good evening and will definitely return.
