Wonderful and atmospheric gastropub in lower Marylebone. We are repeat visitors and chose it for our last evening in London.
Amazing service, great food, wonderful venue :) highly recommended!
It wasn’t the best experience I have had there as the service was very slow due to them being very busy.
Great food, service and ambience. I highly recommend the Fish & Chips!
A great little find..... the place lived up to the previous reviews. Great menu and great food. The placed looked classy and neat and clean. A really good pub/restaurant. Check it and and you won't be dissapointed.
The food was very good as always. Maybe because it was booked full, it took time for the drinks and food to be served than it usually did. I have been here quiet a few times, and like taking my colleagues for dinner.
Reservation was perfect, table was ready, waiter very kind and food excellent.
I've visited a number of times as was told by friends this place is great....but it's ok at best. Food is perfectly adequate but not brilliant, and you leave with a significantly lighter wallet for a mediocre culinary experience. Service however is lovely, friendly yet not overbearing.
Great food and service, whole family loved the food, service and venue
I found this place by literally Googling “Sunday roast London” and was not disappointed. I thought the service was excellent and food was outstanding. Considering the area of London you’re in, I thought the price was very reasonable. Staff were attentive even though the place was packed. Add the cauliflower au gratin and the blood orange sorbet - I promise you will not be disappointed. Portion size was just right. I will definitely return!
Pleasant afternoon at the grazing goat. Great welcome and menu options. Something for everybody. We didn’t ever seem to have our own waiter and service for drinks and ordering was difficult at times as the team on the floor seemed new and made little eye contact. We had a different person every time. Food was excellent quality and there was no rush on the table.
Overall a great find, and if the service was sorted out it would be an excellent find in a lovely part of london.
Lovely people but service poor. Got a wine list but nobody bothered to ask for our order but then wine ended up on the bill!
Skipped dessert as service was so slow which was a shame.
Food when it is arrive was good.
Over priced for what it is and small portions, not that well cooked. Inattentive service - too few staff
Delicious food and great service
Great food. Really good customer service. Thank you!!
I only found the restaurant as I cut through New Quebec Street. I had not heard of it before and I have lived in Marylebone for a long time. An unusual and interesting menu, excellent service, the food was delicious. The whole experience was very good. I will definitely return there.
We had a wonderful lunch! Great waitress, lovely food. We enjoyed the fish and chips and the roasted cauliflower plate which I thought was amazing!
Had a great meal Sunday evening. 2 sharing platters of the Venison, sizeable portion of perfect tender meat, great Yorkshire puddings, nice variety of vegetables. Service was pleasant and friendly but could have been more knowledgeable about the menu. Good atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Came in on a Sunday evening to try the Sunday roast. We loved the cozy atmosphere in the dining room and service was friendly. The beef roast was our favorite but we enjoyed everything we tried!
Service slow. Food great.
We enjoyed dining downstairs at the pub. Overall very good food and atmosphere. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Ordered venison pie, venison and sausage and mash. All very good. Would recommend.
We had a delicious lunch and were extremely well looked after as we had our mini Daschund with us.
Small portions for the money. Fish on fish and chips surprisingly small. Veg with pie very minimal. Apple inside apple pie very small. Environment nice. Waitress over charged us by £60 and was clearly new. She did correct it though and place was nice. Food tasted fine but as soon as we saw in on the plate was disappointed
Nice buzz to it, good to go after work for a drink and catch up with friends, restaurant upstairs good food, good ambience.
A delightful venue which was perfect for a client lunch.
The restaurant upstairs is spacious with a warm, woody ambience and a casual style. My own meal of pan-fried hake on a bed of celeriac was substantial, well-cooked and tasty. My dining partner's meal of beef and venison pie was also rich and meaty. We arrived at just after 6pm for drinks in the ground floor bar, in which food is also served at the numerous tables. It soon became very full and noisy and we were glad to retreat to the upstairs restaurant which is much calmer and more conducive to dining and conversation. I liked it there, and I plan to return.
Loved the venison and beef pie!! :)
Decided to dine near the hotel and found this gastro pub. I have to say it had a nice feel to it as soon as i walked in. Nice warm bread to start with and i decided to go for pie of the day. lovely flavor to the gravy served with a very good quality lovely tasting pie. All the food being served around me also looked well presented. The service is not overly quick, which i quite like, but if you are in the area they serve up a lovely plate of food.
Nice venue, tastefully decorated and not noisy. Food was slightly better than ok, but smaller portion sizes weren't reflective of higher quality. The bacon accompanying the eggs on toast could be from a hotel buffet. Toast was served without butter as standard, really shouldn't have to ask for this.
Service was very poor. Took an absolute age for anything, taking order, delivering coffees, getting the bill (asked 2-3 times), and the restaurant was less than half full.
Other than convenience to work, and a dearth of good options locally, I can't see much reason to return. GG wouldn't last a week in Soho.
A lovely situation and good atmosphere spoiled by inept service, uninspiring menu and overly loud sound system
Great food- had an excellent table by the window upstairs which was a bit quieter- smart with the curtain partition.
One comment is that we asked for tap water 3 times and never got it- Sparkling was replaced though!
Overall- we love this place- thanks again for a great evening and allowing us to introduce the restaurant to others!
Excellent setting and food was delicious. Service was good and not too busy. However it's pricey.
Nice staff. Menu quite small but everything we had was delicious. It's a nice place to be.
Really enjoyed my meal here, the Apple pie was outstanding. Disappointed that they made no reference to my request for a quiet table as I told them my dad was partially deaf. But in the end it was a quiet night so was ok. I thought the wines were ludicrously expensive. But overall a lovely meal.
I returned to the Grazing Goat after about 18 months. The food was still good, standard pub quality. The service, however, was patchy at best.
Ambiance was spot on for a relaxed dinner after work. Really well done interior and dog friendly too!
Exceptionally good food & an atmosphere that makes you want to linger.
I have to say I like the Grazing Goat and having been there several times over many months both for business and pleasure, its always as good each visit and that takes some doing by the Chef and Staff!
Another very successful meal and evening at the Grazing Goat - the draft beer was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious (although some of the starters were a little on the small side), and there was a good wine list for a variety of budgets. We will be back!
