Nice food - patchy service; all staff delightful once you could attract their attention but we did feel a little neglected.

SO SO sorry this is closing down.... such a shame. The staff are always so helpful and it is the ideal place for pre or post National Theatre.

This is a decent bet for pre-theatre at the nearby National Theatre. It is casual but with good service and food. You can have the burgers but they also have some more interesting dishes on the menu and a nice selection of craft beer.

On a lovely sunny evening it was great to have w pre theatre dinner with my daughter. She is a Vegan so it’s really good that there were 3 options for her main course. The padron peppers were a delicious side for us to share with our chicken & non chicken mains. Friendly service throughout

The Green Room is a great venue, good food and just off the river so not busy with tourists.

The National Theatre has done particularly well with it's restaurants and bars. Green Room has a casual, busy vibe, service is brisk and friendly (many are going on to shows) and the menu is mixed and good value. A relaxing place to have dinner.

We have been here a few times before and thought it was fine. Nothing spectacular. However, on this occasion every dish was lacking in flavour. How a three cheese and truffle Mac'n'Cheese can taste so completely lacking in cheese or truffle flavour is beyond me. They did the right thing and took it off the bill when requested. Disappointing.

It’s ok here and the location is good but the food is ok but not brilliant. We have been a few times and will go again. It ought to be as good as the best gastro pubs with great burgers and cool nibbles but it somehow hasn’t achieved that yet.

There is a new burger menu but my classic was average. The duck burger my friend had was better. The rest of us drank and ate happily but it wasn’t the food we remembered first.

Great service but poor food - had the baked fish with veg - both of which were seriously overlooked. Made me think it had just been reheated which is disappointing, particularly for the price we paid. Also, felt they wanted us to finish up quickly and leave...

Great place, but very overpriced for what it is. £7.50 (if memory serves me correctly) for starter of some raw veg, small pot of humus and some cold flatbread is a bit much. The burgers at an average of £15+ were tasty and good quality, but small. Great location and staff though.

The perfect spot for supper before going to the theatre, but I'm sure it would also be a place for a more leisurely casual meal too, especially when the weather is good. Very friendly and efficient service which is what you need when you are under a time constraint. Good burgers. Fun atmosphere helped by the sunshine.

The Green Room has the best chocolate chip cookie (offered as choc chip cookie and milk dessert for two) in London if not worldwide! Have taken several to try it and so far no one is disappointed.

We've been here quite a few times recently before going to the BFI and it's always been an enjoyable start to our night. The food was ok but service on this occasion was pretty poor - you got the impression they were maybe a bit short staffed - unopened bottle of wine plonked on the table, really slow, no water top-ups and our food was only just warm thanks to sitting under heat lamps for 5 minutes.
We'll book again as it's a great location and usually a good atmosphere but it'll probably be the last time if there's a repeat performance of last Friday!

Good place for informal pre-theatre dining. Toilets let down the experience - felt ‘unfinished’ and they could’ve been cleaner.

We thought the Green Room was a really good alternative to eating in the National Theatre. It had a lively, buzzy ambience. Unfortunately, the table next to us was a birthday party and it was just TOO noisy. We asked to go near the window, but the folding doors let in a gale, which the staff tried to ameliorate with sticky tape. Our pork belly was not hot enough, but the staff were good and said next time we are there, to remind them and they would give us complimentary drinks. The food was acceptably average, but the staff were great and efficient.
