The Grill on the Alley - Beverly Hills
Loved The Grill on the Alley! Food was delicious and the service was top notch! Will definitely return back!
Not as good as its local high end steakhouse competitors.
A little disappointed in the food quality. Presentation was a little off not quite what I remember the cookery the food was decent but it just seemed like it lacked quality or inspiration. Still a great meal but I believe that for the money you can find much better options. Service was very good the maître d’ and the host were exceptional in the server was good as well but again I feel that the food has become extremely dated.
Excellent service, great family atmosphere, food was really really good. Awesome time. Definitely will go back soon.
We are frequent customers of the Grill on the Alley. We generally find that the waiters are quite attentive and that the service is quite good. We were very disappointed with the service at our recent visit. The service provided by our waiter Oscar was not up to The Grill's standards. We ordered a cocktail from him that never came. He never came back to check on us during the meal and we had a difficult time finding someone to refill our water glasses or bring us ketchup. We would return to The Grill only if Oscar was not our waiter.
Terrible service, really disappointing.
Late afternoon lunch. A glass of champagne, great service ,
Great food. Peaceful and relaxing
Our first experience at The Grill. Exceptional experience. We live in the area and had always wanted to go... I should of done this years ago. Bill was great. Our waiter and staff was excellent. Food ... finest. My wife and I will be making this a regular spot on our Dining out. THE FINEST.
Service excellent. Servers worked good together. Food really good. First class place in every way.
What’s not to love about this Beverly Hills staple. I’ll be back!
Wonderful to return to the Grill. Kathy is our server already three times and we enjoy her friendliness and, of course, the food. The oysters, this time, were not great, but the steak tartare, the soft shell crabs and the short ribs, oh, the short ribs. We'll be back! Great cocktails and wine as well. And we love booth 104, our favorite!
Horrible service, food was over cooked, not fresh at all - one of the worst meals I’ve ever had at The Grill
Food was bad, fifty words a a a a a a a a a a a a a aaa a a a a a a
As usual, delicious food, great service and friendly atmosphere. Hector at the front makes you feel so welcome. We feel like it us our home
We go for the John Dory
however this time they were out
We substituted the Dover Sole
and were very pleased
Extremely disappointing that at 7:30 PM they were out of two menu items, one of which (white fish) is part of the regular menu. In fairness, they did “make it right” by honoring the white fish price for a more expensive alternative selection.
That the restaurant is transitioning ownership seemed very obvious
Another great meal at one of our favorite restaurants
Alway dependable, always. Perfect hearty American cuisine.
Always the best!
This has become one of my favorite restaurants in the world! I am from Texas and no visit can be without The Grill. I have never been in a restaurant with better food................better service OR nicer people. What a gem!
Old World charm. We celebrated our anniversary with a wonderful meal. Our waiter, John, added to the enjoyment of the evening.
Food was as good as ever. Waiter was great, service was great. They have gotten their act back together. Love this place..
I took my friend to The Grill for his Birthday and we were treated like “Royalty”! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The food and drinks were fantastic as well. Can’t wait to come back again soon!
We always love the Grill. Hands down one of the best customer service in BH. We were celebrating our Son’s birthday. Everyone was very gracious and came to sing when the cake was served.
Very much a ‘locals’ hangout. Because of time change we ate a little earlier then usual. Staff knew the patrons and visa-versa. Great food and service. Friendly staff.
Food, service and and overall experience were excellent. It all starts with Hector at the door. He greets you warmly and makes you feel like you belong. Our guests celebrated their anniversary which we advised when making the reservation. Waiter did not have to be reminded, he handled it perfectly.
I love lunch at the Grill. The look of the place, welcoming Pamela, the fun waiters...then there are
the great cocktails and food! I particularly like the John Dory which is a fish you don't find often.
I took to friends visiting from Florida and they both loved it as well.
It is a true LA gem !!
The food is excellent and there are choices for all tastes. The food was prepared to each of our requests. The service was very good. The noise level was very high, so speaking across of the table was just surrounded by the noise level.
Paamela the daytime host is the best. Setting tone for entire experience
It was great, loved the private booth and the food was well worth it.
Best service ever… The lady who took care of us was a true pro… I hosted a birthday lunch for an old friend… They couldn’t have been nicer!
The hostess, Pam, was fabulous!
Excellent place all around! Great food, best stake I've had in a while! Great service and atmosphere is nice and upscale but I was allowed in with dress shorts and flip-flops. We loved it! Also great cocktails! 🍻
Fantastic every time. Classic old LA dining. Best fish.
Professional service and great food!
Tucked away on an alley is The Grill. A fixture of the BH scene for many, many years. Make a pilgrimage, you won’t be disappointed!
The Grill on the Alley offers a cool "old-school" setting with good drinks and comfortable booths. Unfortunately, the food is boring (even for a traditional steakhouse) and undistinguished, and the price-quality ratio makes it hard to justify a repeat visit. I might go there for a business lunch, but there are many better choices for a nice dinner out.
This was such a great place. What happened???
Great location! Food is worth it! Shop on Rodeo drive then enjoy a martini at the bar including cheese stuffed olives! The cheese bread is an awesome appetizer. I recommend the short ribs if you stay for dinner. Definitely make reservations. If you stay 2 hours, parking is free.
Food poor quality, steak not prime , the service was good and the place was nice. We did get a good deal on a great bottle of wine . Would not return
