Always excellent food and service. I was surprised at the size of my lunch entree, fish tacos! So big and was stuffed after them, delicious and healthy too.
Brought my tween and teen, and we all loved it. One child has a severe food allergy and I was impressed by the waitstaff and their knowledge of allergens in various dishes.
Went there for Weekend brunch and then returned for dinner the following day. The chicken and biscuits were great!
The food was amazing and prepared very quickly. Our server was attentive and patient with my party of 6. The value is great for a brunch in DC!
This is our favorite place to
Eat when we visit DC ! Our kids love it too!! Great sushi and great cocktails!
Good food and good price.. steak came out perfectly medium rare and crusty chewy warm bread was ❤️❤️❤️ but service was slowest I have ever experienced before.
Can’t find our waitress .. empty glasses for good 30 min frustrating.
Had to asked for second basket of bread but took another 15 min after we waited 30 min to find our waitress.
Food took 1 hr to come out.
Extremely dissatisfied with service.
Great yellowtail appetizer. Great dessert...creme brûlée. Very loud though.
Third visit to this establishment on my trips to the capital so that says it all. Pretty space with a good vibe. Good cocktail menu and a lively bar scene. Hamilton's Mule was very good. Maybe a touch sweet so probably one is good for an aperitif. Had the spicy tuna roll for a starter and it was excellent. All in our party were pleased with their entrees. Had the rice bowl and I was not disappointed. An unusual mix that worked very well. Will be back next time in DC.
The food was delicious. My friend and I both had the filet with mac & cheese. The filet was cooked perfect! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in DC.
Best dinner I've had in a long while. Exceptional service especially for those with food allergies. A must go!
The service and food was fantastic. I will go back.
Another awesome experience at the Hamilton… Clydes restaurants are typically and consistently very good, and the Hamilton is one of their best. We had a great dinner, awesome martini and cosmopolitan, and excellent service.
I will always rave about the Hamilton. I visit here for lunch dates with my sister when I get to see her. We love the sushi but have had other items on the menu. The manager was beyond pleasant and accommodating this past visit and I can’t be grateful enough because it’s not something you see often nowadays.
The fried green tomatoes were a fabulous start . The salmon was excellent, and the hot chicken was a bountiful serving. Outstanding ricotta donuts for dessert.
Seated in super noisy section. Over cooked most expensive item on menu to tastelessness. Dessert and cheese selection were good, however.
I chose the Hamilton as part of a themed evening which culminated in seeing the Broadway Tour company of Hamilton at the Kennedy Center. I was absolutely blown away by the experience at the Hamilton restaurant!
The staff was extremely friendly and prompt with providing knowledgeable service. I don’t think our water glasses were ever empty for more than a couple seconds before someone would pop by and refill them for us even though the bottle was there for us to do so if we choose to as well.
Our waitress was very adept at the explaining the specials in a manner that wasn’t overwhelming. The bread and butter plate for the table was delicious, especially considering it’s the simplest thing you’ll receive.
I personally ordered the crab cake dinner which was beyond delectable. It was perfectly cooked and paired well with the fingerling potatoes and corn sides.
My family members ordered a seasonal blackberries & peach salad with chicken, fish & chips, and the rice bowl. All three ate everything provided and reported it was equally as scrumptious as my meal.
The location was fantastic and has ample parking garage options for those driving into the city. It was also an easy drive from there to the Kennedy Center. My husband and I walked from our hotel (remember I mentioned the Hamilton theme? We stayed at the Hamilton hotel about three blocks away) and it was an easy, not crazy walk despite there being plenty of other people around.
Oh, and the venue is actually quite large! I hadn’t realized it encompasses several large rooms and has ample space for even the largest of group dinners.
Overall, I highly recommend the Hamilton to everyone looking to have a fantastic meal in a friendly establishment.
Absolutely love this place. The food, the ambiance, the sushi happy hour. Zero complaints. And I love the fact that they no longer have straws!
The meal was excellent with good portions. I made reservations through Open Table and the restaurant nicely accommodated my special request. The waiter was superb - making sure to take care of our needs without ever being intrusive.
Outstanding dinner and Ray our server was such a pleasure. Everything was cooked perfectly and the taste was fantastic. Definitely a keeper for future DC trips.
I always make it a point to have dinner at the Hamilton when I’m in DC. The food is off the charts; last night I had the catfish jambalaya and the St. Louis gooey cake and thoroughly enjoyed both. We were very disappointed with our service last night unfortunately. Maybe a staffing issue, maybe an inexperienced server, either way the girl clearly needed a hand and our evening suffered for it.
There was a significant issue with a dish presented at the table but it was dealt with professionally.
The steak with the mashed potato was really good and the signiture dissert was awesome
The Hamilton was an excellent choice for a reunion with a long-time friend. The service was outstanding. No one hurried us along so we had time to talk. The food was great. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely wonderful, energetic dining establishment. The menu is a bit large and hard to get through but the food is great, the cocktails were fun and the service was on its A-Game.
This has been our favorite place in DC. The waitress was amazing, friendly and had great recommendations. The thing I LOVE about this restaurant was their kids menu— they actually had real items, not just chicken fingers and bad pizza. Their regular menu was amazing too— I can’t wait to come back and try something else.
We'd been to the bar a long while ago, and this visit was our first dinner there. Had a great experience, very much in line with all the other wonderful restaurants in the same group. We each enjoyed different starters, entrees and desserts. Food was creative without being fussy (but still some great standards on the menu too), fresh and delicious. Menu had a wide variety which pleased everyone in the group. Will definitely return again.
A gem, catty corner from the Old Ebbitt and across the street from the Willard Hotel. Stands up well to those established competitors, with a menu that ranges from burger/comfort food to sushi. Relatively new, but feels like it has been there forever. Suits tourists and native Washingtonians alike.
One of the best experiences in DC.
I just love The Hamilton. Whether you want sushi or a good burger, the menu will appease everyone! If possible, get one of the private booths 😊
My wife and I frequently have brunch here.
We enjoy the total atmosphere
Our Sever , Mercedes was very friendly and professional
Manager looked in on us
My wife had a quiche she did so our server, Mercedes had the charge removed from the check.
We’ll be back.
Each summer my wife and I meet with friends for brunch at The Hamilton. The food is excellent, and the libations are plentiful. We sit in the bar, under the jet.
Open table put us next to the kitchen and didn’t bring the bottle of champagne I had requested in the notes.
The octopus appetizer was delicious but a portion was a bit overdone. Our waiter was attentive but too ready to let you know his shortcomings (I don’t know wine and our sommelier left) . The Veal chop and crab cakes were excellent. Lastly, when making the reservations we mentioned it was my birthday. I didn’t expect a freebie but a HB wish would have been nice- like they were paying attention.
I had a wonderful time! The food was great and priced reasonably. The ambience was very lively but not overbearing. I will definitely be coming back soon!
It was nice! Food was really good especially Maryland's style crabcake and triple salmon!
I took over two hours to get our entrees and one and a half hour to get appetizers
I thought the atmosphere was great and the food was a good value for the surroundings. Highly recommend!
Great food and service! Sophia, our server, was helpful and knowledgeable!! Can’t wait to come back to DC and visit again!! 5 Stars!!!
An excellent menu that will excite your palate, regardless of which dish you get!
We were treated well and loved being seated in the corner window room. Thanks!
