The quality of the food was good but the variety on the menu was small. The food was expensive for what it was and the tables not especially comfortable. I expect the experience would be improved by visiting during the day when the views over Bath can be seen. We were sadly disappointed.

More care should be given to allocating the tables by the large windows on cold nights: we were obliged to move to a warmer spot.

Replacement of a tough steak took much longer than seemed necessary- there did not seem to be any sense of giving it priority in the kitchen.

Staff lovely, my fish was cooked to perfection, and the seasoning just right. Also, it was no problem leaving out the mussels, which I don’t eat. The ensemble of the building itself, with soft lighting, the pathway alit with fairy lights, and no rowdy folk, was sublime, and good value.

The Sunday roast was good and the views from our table excellent. The only thing that disappointed was the cost of still mineral water. Next time we will ask for tap water.

My first visit here. The staff are incredibly well trained and very polite. My name was on my reserved table which I thought very welcoming.
We had Sunday roast and all was quite delicious except for the fact that two of my vegetables were hard and I was unable to eat. The chunck of beetroot and the chunck of turnip......I think it was. . Very tasty otherwise. However it was a cold day and as the door was constantly being opened we found it a bit cold and a bit noisy with modern background music.
I would like to return in the summertime and sit outside where the view is exceptional.

Good food in a pretty environment. Imagine it would be stunning in spring/summer.

The only downside of the evening is that there were lots of other tables available and we were a party of four squashed between a full table of 4 and a romantic couple...which probably was no longer romantic for them and a squeeze for the rest of us. The food was glorious, the staff were very busy but still ran around taking ordets, serving, getting our drinks from behind the bar so it felt a little bit rushed and less relaxing than it has previously been.
