The Honingham Buck
Our food features traditional favorites as well as some interesting and great tasting contemporary dishes. Bar snacks and nibbles together with starters, mains, puddings and a children's menu ensures there is something for all tastes and occasions. From a scotch egg & a pint to a lovely 3 course celebration meal!
Gorgeous roast dinner as always. Thank you A*
My wife’s birthday, food good, ambience basic. Lighting poor, service basic.
FOOD GOOD, BUT THE TABLES FELT VERY CRUSHED TOGETHER NEXT TABLES CHAIRS TOUCHING OURS.
Good service and good food at a reasonable price. The limitation was that the dining room was very cold and although this was explained when we asked about it (a temporary boiler failure) no attempt was made to bring in a fan heater, for example. The temperature eased by the end of our meal but by then it was too late.
This is a great place for that special meal. It was relaxing, very friendly, excellent service but without any pomp. We had a late Sunday lunch and the food was delicious the best Yorkshire pudding I had.
Lovely food as always. Attentive and polite staff. Service just a little slow when it wasn’t busy
My first visit to the Honingham Buck - and I will definitely be back soon! What a wonderfully cosy pub, with the log burner roaring in the bar, and the soft furnishings giving a sumptuous and up-market feel. The attention to detail was all around. I was welcomed with smiles at the bar, and given a choice of whether I'd rather eat in the bar or dining room. I chose the dining room, as it was quiet. My Aunt arrived to join me, and we were brought menus, but we were not pressed into making quick decisions to order, which was lovely. We only wanted something light, so my Aunt went for the hummus and pitta bread, and I chose the tomato and roasted red pepper soup with a crusty roll and butter. Both were brought swiftly, and were delicious. We sat and chatted for sometime after we had finished eating, but we never felt rushed to vacate our table. In fact, we were made to feel very welcome. A wonderful lunch time spent with lovely company in a really friendly and welcoming environment. Thank you.
Lovely food, service and setting
Lovely setting and ambience. First class food. Very enjoyable evening will definitely come back
Have become a local go this pub as the food, service and atmosphere are fab
Have already recommended this place to friends who are of the same opinion as myself and my family.
Carry on with the good work
Excellent food and friendly service. Would recommend.
Lovely food, would have been better with more vegetables especially considering the price.
It was our first visit to the Buck and we were not disappointed. There was a good selection on the lunch menu. The welcome and the service was first class. The food was very good and well prepared and presented and represented good value for money. We will definitely visit again.
A little overpriced in our view. Food good but not exceptional. Unfortunately, two key items were “off” the menu: the pigeon and the burger. Why the latter I cannot imagine. The young lady who served us was excellent, knew the menu and was friendly and courteous - a credit to the establishment.
Lovely staff, efficient and very attentive! Great ambience and decor. We had one concern with our meals and it was dealt with very well.
Very nice place to go for great quality food
First time there. Lovely atmosphere, feel good factor. Perfect village pub, with great food.
Great menu and very well presented. The team were friendly and helpful. We will be going back again soon.
the food here is wonderful, very good attention to detail and very well presented. The service was not quite on par with our last visit, as we had to ask 3 times for some water for the table, and after asking if we wanted desert menus and waiting a while, we got them from the bar ourselves which was a bit disappointing as there were only 2 other tables dining at the time. but all in all a very good place to eat.
A perfect setting for a quiet Sunday Lunch. The Quality of the food and the service was excellent.
Food was very good. Service was also very good. The Buck really lets itself down with the tired and dreary decor. The door to the kitchen looked like it had seen better days. Very dull and dated interior.
Only had a light meal but what we had was great and lovely cosy bar
The food was lovely and we had a very enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic meal, the broccoli and Binham Blue soup was absolutely amazing, the roast belly pork was it's usual excellent standard, staff are all really efficient and friendly. Would recommend this place always.
Felt food not up to usual very good standard
Lovely place to eat, drink & relax. Feels a bit undiscovered as yet
Excellent meal on Saturday , ideal table choice for 3 in the restaurant , great service , never disappointed after numerous visits over a number of years !
We are regulars, this was an excellent meal, outstanding quality.
Excellent new menu. Service brilliant as ever. Perfect place for Lunch or Dinner.
Good food even on New Years eve night busy little pub
First impression was lovely. Very welcoming. Lovely little place . Such a nice atmosphere. Food was perfect! We had the Sunday roast. Will definitely be back with all the family 👍🏻
Decided to treat ourselves to a meal out after Christmas, Sunday lunch here did not disappoint. Smoked salmon mousse with crayfish cocktail and melba toast for starter, it was heavenly, went for the old favourite of roast belly pork, as always I skipped the seasonal veg and had extra cauliflower cheese, didn’t have room for desserts though. Will be back very soon
We enjoyed our meal at the buck. Service was good but did fin the price quite high.
Excellent service.food was very well cooked and well presented. Always enjoy my visits, and look forward to returning.
Terrific venue and a huge change from when we visited 3 years ago.
Excellent service and gorgeous food
Good service good food. Enjoyed my visit. You can find cheaper but this is not a McDonalds outfit.
Great place great food great beer great atmosphere
Lovely food and staff very friendly and would go back
We really enjoy eating at the buck. The food is delicious, not a vast choice, but beautifully prepared and presented. The beer is good- Lacons. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good buzz, and no annoying background music. There is a pleasant, cosy ambience.
Been raving about this place to a friend for months so decided to take an extended lunch here. Starters were as expected 9/10 which brought much hope for the main meal.
Steaks for main were utterly disappointing fatty and tasted cheap not what you would expect. Garlic butter was just cold most of the meal was left. Not back in a hurry sadly as first experience was terrific
