Every thing about our meal was great. Good food and good service. It was a pleasant surprise to find Moretti on draught which is my favourite Italian beer. The menu was not extensive which I think is a good sign as the chef can concentrate on a smaller range of dishes. We shall certainly come back.

We had a very pleasant evening here. We shared a starter as I had read that the portions were generous. They were not wrong. Our mains, I had fish cake and my husband the pie, were very tasty and generous. However, we did managage a dessert. The sticky toffee pudding was out of this world and the ice creams and sorbet delicious. All round lovely tasty meals and well balanced, the staff were friendly but respectful and a good time had by both of us.

For a self proclaimed gastro pub the menu was very limited e.g. two types of potato on the entire menu and they were chips or skinny fries. Staff were friendly but the very basic menu really lets this place down.

Nice cosy and friendly atmosphere but the evening meal menu was basic and rather unimaginative although although what we chose was well cooked and nicely presented. We certainly had no complaint and enjoyed our evening.

Highly recommend for Sunday Lunch. Great food. Baked cheese soufflé, the roast and Sticky toffee pudding are to die for. Really relaxed and friendly pub and dogs are made welcome, not that I brought mine as he is far too naughty!!

Just decided to pop out for a Sunday evening bite to eat . Very quiet but still felt warm and inviting . Food and service excellent . It's a 15 minute drive from us and we tend to forget to try here but we'll definitely come more frequently after this experience .

When we arrived, the waitress had no knowledge of our booking. She then checked her emails to find that we did. We chose a table as the restaurant was fairly empty. I mentioned that I was gluten free but the waitress wasn't sure what that was. Her words were, 'Is that flour?' At this point, I felt a little disappointed as this didn't bode well. She brought over a second menu that outlined all allergies but wasn't very helpful. Couldn't tell me which items on the menu were gluten free or not. We had wanted starters but not one of them apart from a salad was GF. We ended up ordering our main courses. It was a cold evening and I had hoped to have a hot meal but the only GF option was pork which I didn't fancy. Oh, well. Salad again. We noticed that the waitress had also forgotten to mention the specials. My husband had a pudding and a dessert wine, and we left disappointed. I had imagined that we would get a more personal service. There are so many places that provide GF options nowadays that I was shocked that anyone working in a restaurant would not know what GF is!!

Our first time there and we were not disappointed. Excellent food, very friendly and attentive staff. Happy hour was a real bonus too.
Only disappointment was that our online booking was not showing in their system, but we still got a table.

Service was exceptionally friendly and efficient. The lunch menu was quite limited. As the weather had turned out rather warm, a couple of lighter dishes would have been nice. However, we all enjoyed our choices and would return again.

My wife and I recently dined at the Cranborne Inn, food was lovely, well prepared and tasted great. We just felt it was all a little over priced, for example I had the pork belly as a main course, this was 2 very thin slices of belly (around 0.5cm thick) on bubble and squeak (although seemed more like sauted potatoes and spinach) with freshly made apple sauce. It all tasted lovely and I really enjoyed it but at £16 it seemed a lot for such a cheap cut of meat. Would have loved to have a steak but at £28 that was out of the question.

Was a lovely place though, the food tasted great and the service was very good, just need to be prepared to pay decent restaurant prices, for good pub food
