The Inn at Cranborne
Saturday: 8:30am-9:30am, 11:30am-2pm, 6pm - 10pm
Sunday: 8:30am-9:30am, 11:30am-2pm, 6pm - 9pm
Over priced, very basic standard menu badly cooked, obviously have issues with their kitchen team hopefully this is a temporary situation.
Good atmosphere , food was lovely and service was good . We will definitely be back
Every thing about our meal was great. Good food and good service. It was a pleasant surprise to find Moretti on draught which is my favourite Italian beer. The menu was not extensive which I think is a good sign as the chef can concentrate on a smaller range of dishes. We shall certainly come back.
Thanks to chef and staff for looking after our complex dietary requirements and making us welcome.
Great food here and lovely staff. Dog friendly also , we’ve done a nice walk and lunch with our 🐕. He got treats from staff and was most welcome .
Beautiful meal with good friends last Saturday evening. Excellent choice of well prepared local food.
We had a very pleasant evening here. We shared a starter as I had read that the portions were generous. They were not wrong. Our mains, I had fish cake and my husband the pie, were very tasty and generous. However, we did managage a dessert. The sticky toffee pudding was out of this world and the ice creams and sorbet delicious. All round lovely tasty meals and well balanced, the staff were friendly but respectful and a good time had by both of us.
For a self proclaimed gastro pub the menu was very limited e.g. two types of potato on the entire menu and they were chips or skinny fries. Staff were friendly but the very basic menu really lets this place down.
Really lovely meal and such a friendly atmosphere. Glad we found the Inn as there’s no doubt we’ll be going back there 😃
Very good all round experience. Friendly staff, good service.
Nice cosy and friendly atmosphere but the evening meal menu was basic and rather unimaginative although although what we chose was well cooked and nicely presented. We certainly had no complaint and enjoyed our evening.
Never eaten here before. The staff were welcoming and the food was delicious. I had belly pork, a good portion nicely presented. I would eat here again.
Never had a bad meal. Highly recommend. I asked for special food and they were more than obliging... very friendly.
Friendly, warm atmosphere & fabulous food - local to my work.
Ice-cream & sorbets were delicious.
Could have a security light in the car park??
Have returned since for drinks with friends.
Highly recommend for Sunday Lunch. Great food. Baked cheese soufflé, the roast and Sticky toffee pudding are to die for. Really relaxed and friendly pub and dogs are made welcome, not that I brought mine as he is far too naughty!!
Lovely food and excellent service on a Saturday lunchtime.
A fabulous lunch in cosy surroundings. The fishcake was heavenly and the pork belly was perfect comfort food for a winter's day.
Have been before so took friends & did not lube up to expectations this time
Loved it !! Thank you .
We have been to 10 Castle Street opposite and was very disappointed and had a refund so I’m glad to have found somewhere we can go in cranbourne
Just decided to pop out for a Sunday evening bite to eat . Very quiet but still felt warm and inviting . Food and service excellent . It's a 15 minute drive from us and we tend to forget to try here but we'll definitely come more frequently after this experience .
Always have had the best Sunday lunch here. Thank you to all the staff for all your hard work. We love eating here, can’t fault it.
When we arrived, the waitress had no knowledge of our booking. She then checked her emails to find that we did. We chose a table as the restaurant was fairly empty. I mentioned that I was gluten free but the waitress wasn't sure what that was. Her words were, 'Is that flour?' At this point, I felt a little disappointed as this didn't bode well. She brought over a second menu that outlined all allergies but wasn't very helpful. Couldn't tell me which items on the menu were gluten free or not. We had wanted starters but not one of them apart from a salad was GF. We ended up ordering our main courses. It was a cold evening and I had hoped to have a hot meal but the only GF option was pork which I didn't fancy. Oh, well. Salad again. We noticed that the waitress had also forgotten to mention the specials. My husband had a pudding and a dessert wine, and we left disappointed. I had imagined that we would get a more personal service. There are so many places that provide GF options nowadays that I was shocked that anyone working in a restaurant would not know what GF is!!
Lovely spot to meet up for a family Sunday roast. Lovely food and well presented
Amazingly good and well presented food in a nice relaxed atmosphere.
Uninspiring limited menu and overpriced for very standard food. Had high expectations for local produce as stated on the menu so disappointed.
We went for Sunday lunch and the food was superb. Very nice friendly staff.
Friendly, informal service, excellent menu, healthy portions.
Great food, perfectly presented, local produce. Seems expensive, but if you like to see beautiful food it is worth visiting.
Excellent food, very well-presented and good value.
Very attentive staff, great food and a lovely setting. We sat outside to start with and then moved inside as the evening went on. Really enjoyed the whole experience
Our first time there and we were not disappointed. Excellent food, very friendly and attentive staff. Happy hour was a real bonus too.
Only disappointment was that our online booking was not showing in their system, but we still got a table.
Lovely food, something a bit different. Was a little quiet in the part we were in. Staff great. Will definitely return
Wet pleasant place, friendly staff, very nice food and great ambience and decor. You must go and try it!
Service was exceptionally friendly and efficient. The lunch menu was quite limited. As the weather had turned out rather warm, a couple of lighter dishes would have been nice. However, we all enjoyed our choices and would return again.
My wife and I recently dined at the Cranborne Inn, food was lovely, well prepared and tasted great. We just felt it was all a little over priced, for example I had the pork belly as a main course, this was 2 very thin slices of belly (around 0.5cm thick) on bubble and squeak (although seemed more like sauted potatoes and spinach) with freshly made apple sauce. It all tasted lovely and I really enjoyed it but at £16 it seemed a lot for such a cheap cut of meat. Would have loved to have a steak but at £28 that was out of the question.
Was a lovely place though, the food tasted great and the service was very good, just need to be prepared to pay decent restaurant prices, for good pub food
Six of us had three courses, we were the last to leave.
Lunch for 4 of us at this delightful pub. Great atmosphere and excellent food - we all had aged steaks and all were delicious. Easy parking and good service.
Great experience, food and service were both excellent. The meal was for a family birthday and everyone enjoyed it. Good atmosphere and we received a voucher for a bottle of wine next time. Would definitely recommend
everything was fantastic, if i am ever in the area, i will eat there again!
I thought it had a great atmosphere, staff were great, food was wonderful overall a lovely lunch worth going again. Didn't like service charge on bill
