Too warm, and did not get my order right two times
Lovely brunch with my sister. Took a little while to arrive but was delicious.
You get what you pay for. Expensive (for me anyway) but overall a pleasant experience. I couldn't afford to go there every week but when I do it is always nice. And located in a beautiful part of Central London. After the meal we had a pleasant summer evening stroll to Baker Street Station. The only criticism I would have is that the Shepherd's Pie, lovely though it is, doesn't amount to much; by volume, calories, substance or pretty much any other criterion. On second thoughts I would downgrade 'criticism' to 'quibble'.
This particular Ivy always delivers although our waiter seemed a bit distracted and robotic last Friday evening. Beyond that, great kitchen, speedy service and great value! Great manager, super experience every time.
Service out of this world, breakfast (eggs Benedict and breakfast pastries) devine and at a very reasonable price.
We were pressurized into ordering food quickly and constantly felt like we had to justify ourselves being there. Whilst we were eating our starter the main course turned up, on realizing the error of his ways the waiter quickly took it away and it clearly got shoved under some heat lamps in the kitchen whilst we finished our starter. When my main course reappeared it in no way resembled the rare minute steak I had ordered, it was tough as old boots and tasted of acid.
On the plus side the dessert was good and they did bring me a small Happy Birthday tart which I thought was a nice touch...however I did pay up for it! Not the best Ivy Cafe I have eaten at.
Terrific but noisy
Service efficient and polite without being obtrusive.
The evening was absolutely lovely - perfect for a relaxed dinner with dear friends.
After being on the planet for 47 years, Simply the best lunch I have ever had!
The Rum Baba, blew my mind and transported me back to my childhood. Without doubt a must try item.
Allow the host to pour the rum, they know what they're doing!
Great breakfast. Tables quite close together so can be noisy at busy times
Good atmosphere, vibrant, classic London brasserie style
Very pleasant surroundings. Good food and good service. Conveniently situated for the West End and Marylebone.
Absolutely horrendous brunch. We all felt sick afterwards.
A great venue to catch up with friends. The Ivy Café - Marylebone has a brilliant ambiance and delicious food that caters for a wide variety of palates. Service is excellent - speedy without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to come again.
Food was ok, but service was very slow. Disappointed by the experience
Glamourous excellent breakfast spot. Impeccable service.
We celebrated my partner’s birthday breakfast, and the food was amazing, service was quick, and staff were friendly. Definitely will come back again :)
Great ambience, good decor, good service, good food, reasonably priced
Fun atmosphere. Reasonable value for money. Great location.
It's a brilliant restaurant, food and service are great!
it's just a little bit noisy at night... we have to shout to each other actually:)
Perfect for any occasion, great food and good location.
4 ladies for Brunch on a Sunday Morning- lovely atmosphere very friendly staff and great food.....always a treat!
Perfect venue for a special night out. Attentive service in sophisticated restaurant with excellent food and drinks.
After visiting the Ivy Cafe several times over the past 2 years, unfortunately our recent visit did not come close to any previous experiences. The food was excellent as always, the team behind the bar did a splendid job, though the waiters run around, look but do not see.
From starter to main only took 19 seconds after clearing the table, though desert was a 35 minute wait. The rush rush setting was dominated by the Italian manager as it seems, no managing but running around himself hoping to resolve the mess. He served our table once, was very impolite and was immediately offended after a friendly suggestion.
We do not eat out just because of the food. Ambience and service are key.
Too many options in London to visit them again. Choose wisely :)
As always, The Ivy was excellent. Haven't been to this one before but knew it would be to the same high standard as the others I have been to. The food was excellent and good value. I marked noise level lower as it was noisy due to some of the other guests so it is an unfair question as this was not in the control if the restaurant. It was overall very enjoyable
Was meeting friends I had not seen for many years and was rather over excited. I ordered and paid for a bottle of fizz to greet them with. I stupidly didn't look at the bill. An automatic service charge was added - for a bottle of wine! Disappointed in Ivy Cafe. Other than that, the food was good, staff friendly and efficient. Sadly we were told as we were paying that our table was booked again in five minutes.
Stunning services with a smile. look forward to returning soon.
Had a business breakfast at the Ivy. Good food, good service, excellent coffee!
Great food and service, cocktails fav as well! Loved it
Nice place, good food, wife loved it, me happy. Recommended
I cannot praise the service, the food and the atmosphere enough, myself and friends had a fabulous night and I would recommend to anyone.
Great meal had by all. Shepherds Pie never a disappointing meal :)
Lovely girly relaxing lunch before going to the theatre. We both really enjoyed the Shepherds Pie.
brilliant service and great atmosphere, all the food was great
Amazing food and lovely service here! We had a good time!
Good food, efficient service, pleasant decor, and all at a very reasonable price by central London standards. The major problem for me, sadly, was the noise level which made it difficult to conduct a conversation until the lunchtime rush had abated. A great shame.
Smelt like a hospital , too cramped, too loud and bad lighting
Excellent food, great service ands a lively buzzy atmoshere
Food was tasty but my friend had an item missing from her plate. It was not a large portion so we had to order additional items otherwise we would have left hungry. Desert was good and better value. Venue noisy and unbelievably the toilet seat was broken with the toilets, stairs and decor looking grubby and shabby. Not at all in keeping with the reputation of the restaurant. The service was very good, staff friendly and efficient but location and main course did not meet our expectations. We could have had a much better lunch at a Michelin star restaurant for a similar price
I mistakenly thought all Ivy cafes had the same menu and booked afternoon tea as was meeting a uni friend I hadn’t seen for 20 years. The waiter bought us pots of tea then had a long wait before some burnt scones arrived. I had expected and asked for the full ‘tea’ experience with the big cake stand etc but it turns out this branch doesn’t do it as the kitchen was too small. This wasn’t mentioned until the scones arrived. All a bit embarrassing for me as my friend had travelled from Wales! If I’d had known we would have ordered lunch instead.
