Ivy Cafe - Marylebone
Open seven days a week, The Ivy Café, Marylebone brings some of the familiarity of The Ivy brand to the ceaselessly chic Marylebone Lane, providing the perfect setting for any occasion.
A number of tables remain unreserved throughout the day allowing you to sample our range of café-style menus at your leisure from breakfast until late, whether you are a local resident, work close by or shopping in the area.
It is the second time I dine at the Ivy Cafe'. Menu is nice and food is good. Maybe a bit more weight on the appetisers could help improving the meal experience. Generally happy with the ambience. Location top!
Always a safe bet. Good food and pretty good service. Always busy. This time I actually had a table that I could sit at without being on somebody else’s lap! Too many tables in too small a space! That said, still good. Convenient and reasonable.
Rushed service, they took our plates before we finished, table was next to a store room with waiters constantly pushing us and shouting loud while we were eating. Poor experience unlike other Ivy restaurants
Outstanding food and service in a lovely part of London.
Good brunch options and very good value for money for the area. Very attentive service - helpful and polite!
We’ve eaten in The Ivy cafe a number of times, on this occasion it took 15 mins for a server to approach us after we were seated, at this point a couple next to us were already complaining about not being served. Maybe on this day the cafe was short of staff. This is not helpful to the experience of the day.
I hope our next visit is a pleasant one. I haven’t given up on them yet.
Fabulous evening. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed everything about the Ivy Café.
Even though it was extremely busy the staff, service, food were all fab.
This is the 2nd Ivy Café we've been to and it lived up to the high expectations we had. The restaurant was lovely and had a lot of character as well as a lot of buzz from all the chatting going on. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and the restaurant brought out a small cake for her which was a really nice touch. The food was very nice - a good choice and catered well for a veggie we had in the group. The staff were very friendly and generally attentive - it wasn't overly speedy which suited us but may have been a problem for others.
Overall a great lunch and I would highly recommend it.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, menu never disappoints. First time I’d gone for brunch and the pumpkin soup was incredible (especially with the Ivy bread on the side). Wholly recommend for a nice lunch/dinner even as a casual outing.
Terrible table - jammed by the till, which meant that waiters stood over us in such a way that felt very intrusive. Waiter made several mistakes, including bringing the wrong food (salmon instead of steak?) and then had to take away both meals and brought them back in 15 minutes and mine had obviously been sitting under a heating lamps. All that to say was a fine experience
Lovely place - will definitely be back
Excelllent food, atmosphere and service - thank you the Ivy Marylebone for providing a reliably enjoyable experience
Staff were very pleasant and helpful on arrival. Seated us as we had asked for. Our table was good, the food selection/choices were super. Food was cooked beautifully. I do wish the teapot was bottomless though, it would be a nice touch to have tea and coffe refills. Overall another good experience at the Ivy.
Excellent night in all respects, we really enjoyed the whole experience
Our lunch on Thursday was very enjoyable, very buzzy atmosphere, food, lovely, staff outstanding, ambience and restaurant very pleasing. Have been several times before and will certainly go again.
This was our first visit to the Ivy and will certainly not be our last. The food and service was first class and was good value.
I fly to London often and this has always been my favorite restaurant. However this time my chicken was served pink and I had to send it back twice! My co workers absolutely loved what they ordered!
Excellent menu choices and a most friendly staff!
It wasn’t what I thought it would be...service wasn’t brilliant, we were given a dessert menu but wasn’t asked for our order, we ended up leaving instead. Our drinks also took ages!
Lovely lunch. Everything was delicious and manager Val ensures we were looked after extremely well. A pleasure all round.
Firstly, the staff at the Ivy Marylebone are fantastic! It is hard to find such warm and welcoming staff in London restaurants. They ALWAYS go out of their way to accommodate their customers, ensuring that all their needs are taken care of. Invariably, I am made to feel like a valued customer on every visit.
The food is delicious, great quality and good value for money. They have a vast selection of meals to suit diverse diets.
Once you have eaten there, you’ll want to return!
Wonderful service, we just popped in for a quick bite to eat and even though we weren't spending much the staff were still very attentive. Wonderful duck salad, with great flavour and hearty shepherd's pie! Will visit again.
Lovely evening, lovely food, great service. Fab cocktails
Great food and service. A neighborhood gem that’s for sure.
Food was fabulous. We sat near the door so the cold breeze made us uncomfortable. Overall service was great.
Menu is great, something for everyone. I had a gift card, but despite trying 2 times, the manager couldn't get it to work, which was very annoying.
The chocolate cake was superb. “From another world”
very good overall - I asked for black and blue and it was just blue but was happy enough and better than the few recent occasions when I felt standards had dropped. I attend regularly around 4.5 times a year. The welcome host was excellent had our preferred table ready for us !
As always great food and service. Favourite place to go in Marylebone x
A restaurant like this should have calves liver on menu and perfect fries- they were really poor! My only criticisms!
Very good service and very friendly. The food was of very good quality and was delivered in a timely manner
This restaurant is a gem. Tucked away in Marylebone Lane, yet popular and bustling. The menu is excellent, with plenty of choice, whatever your preference. The staff make you very welcome and you feel is though your custom is very much appreciated. Service is unobtrusive, yet attentive. We went on New Year's eve and although many restaurants have a set menu, the full a la carte is available here. I have been here of several occasions and have never been disappointed. I have also recommended it to several friends, whose experiences mirror my own. It is a firm favourite and one which I will revisit in the future.
We had a wondeful diner at 31 of december. Good food, friendly personal.
The staff were brilliant from the moment we walked in the door. Even with it being NYE we were constantly checked on. Requested a drink not on the menu and it was made for us too. 10/10
The food is not as good as if used to be. My wife's fish and chips was very average, the batter on the fish was thick with lumps being uncooked. My shepherd's pie was very tasty but was very small and appeared to be warmed up.
If the Ivy would like to taste well cooked fish and chips your chefs should try Godfrey's in Bushey.
Excellent service in a great setting.
Price was fine but some of the portions could be a little larger - e.g 5 medium olives for £3 and a main course for one of the group was "small".
Really good food. Great service. Had a wonderful time.
Got a warm welcome when we arrived. We were seated right next to the till which made the busy restaurant feel even more crowded. I'm not sure why the restaurant is set up so some diners have to have a till by their head opening and closing and staff standing over them during most of their meal.
I was really looking forward to the meal and thought the food would be great considering the other reviews I've read, however it was extremely average TBH. Don't get me wrong it was edible but none of the dishes stood out, except for maybe the desserts which were really good. I've eaten much better in gastropubs. A couple next to us complained their burgers were dry and were refunded so it wasn't just us that were a bit underwhelmed. We felt the waiter was brisk with us and never asked us how the meal was.
I think for the price and the name the food and service should have been much better I understand this isn't the actual Ivy but their more affordable 'cafe' chain but I still feel for the name it didn't live up to our expectations.
One of my favourite places for brunch in London - always a delight!
Always a great experience at the Ivy Cafe. Very well run restaurant with a creative menu and attentive staff. Highly recommended!
