I have been always choosing ivy chealsea with its all dining pleasure. First time i experienced on my husband s birthday with such delay on our drinks, took 30mins. After warning we could have it and offered for a free drink

We had a great time at the Ivy. The bar was a bit slower to deliver drinks, but the server was kind. I would recommend this spot and would most certainly go again

We were impressed....congratulations on running an operation like this with pleasant and efficient staff and with excellent food to match turned out consistently well. With a knowlegable barman, who knew his stuff this was an excellent expereience - well done to all concerned.

Bad night for The Ivy on so many fronts. Absolutely everything went wrong. Table wasn’t ready for 30 mins, the chef sent the waiter back to tell me the tempura prawns that I’d ordered as as a starter were ‘not in good shape to be served’, our mains were very late because of ‘a problem with the machine’ which meant we had to rush them as we’d booked a babysitter, and to top it off the cloakroom hung my coat next to someone’s fur coat which left hairs all over it.

The cakes and sweet bowls were delicious but the sandwiches were dry and not very tasty. It was the end of the tea sitting but that’s no excuse for a restaurant as prestigious as this.

The hostesses at the entrance are very smiley. They showed us to a table right next to two serving stations. we then could only get a table next to one serving station. The waiter was excellent however the other staff had no respect for our table as they placed dishes at the serving station and tapped on the till etc. They couldn't have cared a less. Delicious zucchini and black cod.

This used to be a pub and on arrival it seem to remind a bit of this. The staff were perfectly nice and welcoming although a little distant - slightly "we have done this all before". The food was OK - however our fish was "crumbly" and not in "flakes" as good fish should be. It tasted good, the chips were very tasty and lots of them. The steak tartare was good. It was noisy or we were on noisy table? Overall a fun place to be - just pity the standards quite didn't match.

Lunch at the Ivy Chelsea Garden is an enjoyable experience although at times pretty noisy and difficult to hold a normal conversation.

Over riding everything below the service from James Secombe was outstanding
All in all it is a very professional operation, however -
The pre dinner drinks took FAR too long to arrive
The lighting at our table was pretty dire in that you can't read the menu or wine list without struggling - all 5 at our table agreed

Service was superb. To be offered a free alternative dish as the last lobster shepherd pie was overcooked was extremely appreciated, as was the honesty as to what had happened. Definitely will visit again. Thank you to all the team.

We were celebrating my sister’s graduation, there was 6 people and a child. Everyone really enjoyed the food and the place itself. The service was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Ivy Garden for sure, especially if you want to celebrate anything special.

Service as usual slow, also the booking of preferable tables is poor. Always get poor tables by the doors.
However the food was up to the Ivy high standard. Always consistently good and I would rate highly.
I understand that all the Ivy’s tend to be busy but the management should think about table allocations or they will start loosing customers.
Sadly our waiter was particularly off and suggest he is in the wrong job

The food was lovely, decor beautiful and the hostesses and bar staff were fabulous, however we found the food service a little strange and disappointing.
We could see food runners stood right next to our table with our food [and other tables’ food too] waiting for several minutes for the waiters to take the food and bring it to our tables. It was frustrating as the food was right there, but was waiting for a particular person to serve it! Particularly frustrating when we had our rare steaks stood right next to us but could not be put on our table until our waiter has taken a card payment from the next table. It did not ruin the night, but could have been better.

One of the nicest Ivy Restaurants I have been to and beautifully decked out for Christmas. Food is of the same standard as in all, with a good range of choices.

The restaurant was outstanding, the food and the atmosphere was great and we enjoyed our time here, only downside was that I booked for 2:30pm and we were made to wait 20mins to be seated as the venue was clearly over booked and i had to complain which i never like doing.

Once past this and we were seated we had a lovely time.

Food was OK at best. Restaurant looks nice, but the setup is very crammed and the service was terrible (long waiting time and rude waiters). Noise levels are very high.

Requested outside dining on my reservation however was not informed that outside dining did not open until 10am until I arrived. Food was okay. Order the pancakes. So overloaded with yoghurt that the pancakes turn cold and the strawberry sauce they serve with it makes it absolutely way too sweet. Not tasty at all. I didn’t bother complaining but it wasn’t very satisfying at all I couldn’t even pretend to finish it. Restaurant is beautiful and the outside beautifully decorated as well. Service was also good.

Probably the best of the Ivy restaurants but this Saturday wasn’t its best ,
Too busy !
We were keep waiting for over 45 minutes at bar for our table (lovely bar)
Finally got our food at 7,15 for a 5 o’clock booking and then before we had time to enjoy our coffees we were asked to leave because the table was booked .

It was

Fab - u - lous!

Food, drinks, service, company, ambience. It remains my favourite London restaurant for all of these reasons.

The Crispy Duck salad, is my single favourite menu item across the ivy range and it did not disappoint.

If you make one stop on the Kings’ Road - Make it the Ivy Chelsea Garden. But book well in advance as it is understandably very busy!

Bearing in mind it was a Saturday not long before Christmas we were prepared to make allowances.......We have been before and had a fantastic time....this time not so good but were prepared to make allowances.
Service: Waiter very obsequies..... but service was slow.....he suggested I might like Brocoli with my Sea Bass.....Good idea but was then brought French Beans which I don't like. Sent them back, was told no Broccoli was available. So ordered peas instead....by the time they actually appeared I'd almost finished my meal, which would have been cold if I had waited so sent them back!
Of more concern was the customer at the next table. He clearly had some kind of issue and we witnessed him being very rude and aggressive to a member of staff........something we all found embarrassing and upsetting as he was extremely aggressive and frankly his behaviour was bullying. He kept saying 'You are going to lose your best customer'. As far as we could gather the staff were trying to placate him. We found this worrying as no one working in customer service should have to put up with his behaviour.......also other customers shouldn't have to witness his bad behaviour!
Think you need to be a bit more supportive of your staff.....and actually be prepared to challenge aggression, bullying and rudeness!

A response to this would be welcome ......we all felt uncomfortable! At present not sure if we would come back....just don't appreciate seeing had working staff being treated like this..... money shouldn't talk and there are much better ways of managing this very rude person!
