Return visit to Ivy Chelsea Garden! A group of four, for a lunch catch up. Busy at 12pm, but in a nice way, wasn't too noisy and had a good atmosphere. Food was as great as my last visit, which makes them feel a dependable choice / venue! Lots of options to choose from, so great place to take anyone for a special lunch or nice afternoon tea stop.
Breakfast done right!
Booked the Ivy Chelsea Garden for a special birthday lunch. Phoned up months beforehand to ask to increase from 4-7. Was told it wasn’t possible. Luckily for me my booking had gone through twice and so I had 2 reservations each for 4 people. Restaurant were arrogant and dismissive when I asked if they could confirm the tables would be together stating it’s against their policy.
I was in two minds whether to go but we did and they were pretty good at resolving the situation on the day albeit squeezing 7 on a table for 4. Luckily the kids ate first to give us some elbow room. Starters great, mains disappointing especially the fish and chips which had soggy batter. Drinks good and table service good. Had to remind them 4 times it was a special birthday and to bring a small birthday dessert. Would have been nice if they’d been more proactive.
Not cheap but atmosphere is good and good location. I just wish they wouldn’t be so arrogant and be more welcoming....then again I guess it depends on who you are.
I used to love it but the recent visit was awful! Horrible breakfast eggs Benedict. Cold breakfast muffin, not toasted, not nice ham, the dressing was bad. Service was so slow and so rude and not helpful. That it completely turned me off from going again. Decor as always beautiful
I came with my daughter for brunch on Sunday, we both were disappointed with our food as it was not very hot when it arrived but seemed to go cold very very quickly, I not sure how it is cooked & how long it is waiting to be brought to the table, this is also not helped by lack of space between tables & chairs & waiters busy taking orders
Great service, delicious food and lovely atmosphere
Pedro was great front of house
Ivy Chelsea has a beautiful abvianace. Unfortunately the food and the noise level didn’t meet my expectations! I enjoyed my appetizer but the mains were just Okay!
We enjoyed a lovely evening, we had a joyous waiter who made our night so memorable.
He was so funny we tipped him over the amount on the service charge in cash, as we felt he deserved it.
The food, sadly was not as good as the time we ate at the Covent Garden Ivy, the onion soup was not on this menu, although we were happy with the Pumpkin Soup, however the Roasted butternut squash with grains was so dry the two guests who ordered it only ate a few mouthfulls which was a shame as we had enjoyed this dish so much at the Covent Garden restaurant.
Love this restaurant, my wife and I enjoy the whole experience.
The surroundings are stunning, the food is fabulous and the staff are always helpful and attentive, you couldn’t ask for more.
It’s always a pleasure to visit all the Ivys in London.Excellent place to share a lunch with friends!!
The food was super disappointing, I expected much more taste!
The decoration outside is amazing!
Won’t be back :(
Went for a Saturday morning breakfast. Excellent!
Pleasant surroundings reasonable
food. good service, in winter do not sit along the series of tables in front of the doors to the covered garden area. The second door to the garden opens continuously and a freezing draft becomes quite unpleasant.
Absolutely LOVE this place! Usually sit outside but had a lovely experience inside this time! Thanks guys!
Really enjoyed our dinner and the food was excellent - the Chicken Salad was amazing - the Rolls Royce of chicken salads!! Lovely ambience in the restaurant and the coffee was very pretty!! Very nice waiter who kept us entertained! Would definitely go back again.
Treated my mum and gran to a girls evening
Really enjoyed the whole experience . Food was delicious ,the service was outstanding and the overall cost was reasonable . Already booked a table for 4 in the next couple of weeks .. definately recommended .
Wonderful afternoon tea with fabulous scones & fine apple tarte. Great atmosphere
& great service in lovely Christmas surrounding
Food is ok
A lot of staff yet very little efficiency
We won’t return
I don’t recommend
Very beautiful spot, good ambiance and adequate food. Service was extremely poor. Wouldn’t come back and would not recommend.
Very relaxed, good atmosphere and would definitely return but service was a little forgetful on this visit and coffee had to go back as turned up lukewarm. Expect more from an Ivy.
Excellent service and friendly staff.
Always a pleasure and will return again and again. We especially enjoy sitting in the garden orangery area.
The food was very good as was the eine, it was a brilliant ambience and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The service was very good. The staff were both professional and friendly. I’ve already recommend this branch to friends since my visit. Can’t eait to return.
rush out by the hostess !!! they were late serving dessert then asked us to leave after serving dessert!!
Service was unfortunately below par today - short staffed maybe? Lots of grumpy faces
Food was Lovley as always, and the ambience was great for breakfast meeting.
I love cheesy ivy garden but my last two visit in the morning where not good as I found for second time piece of hair in my eggs which is more than disgusting and unacceptable as this place is in the central place and it’s visited all day long . The service where amazing but I didn’t finished my food after that :( shame
The staff at the door were extremely helpful and although we had only booked a table for four were very helpful in finding us a table for six so that we include two other friends we had met up with at an earlier event. The food and service was great.
We had a lovely table in the Garden Room. Yummy food (especially the puddings!) and good service, although the Pinot Noir at £16 a glass felt a bit cheeky.
Special occasion with friends for Christmas. Nice cocktails at the bar first. Good choice of menu quite varied. Was quite loud but good atmosphere. Service was ok but nothing special I think it was maybe change over of staff. Better service here previously.
Food was good as always
The food was cold and the service was very poor.
Couldn’t fault it ... wonderful atmosphere
Good service tasty food
Exceptional scenery and cooking. A restaurant to discover absolutely
Great place for a get together with friends. Had a great time as it was my birthday and felt thoroughly spoilt. The food, ambience and service was excellent and I would highly recommend a visit.
Looking forward to visiting the restaurant again!
Outstanding meal, service and overall another fabulous experience at The Ivy, Chelsea Garden.
Great ambience and service. Food was good too although only here for Brunch.
Very poor service. Had to ask numerous times to get various items that we had ordered.
