Although a nice environment, it was nothing special and seems to be using the "block standard" brasserie decor of many new corporately held restaurants. Surprisingly, the breakfast was bland with the poached eggs overcooked. I believe the restaurant brand has fallen victim to corporate ownership with a higher concern for profit vs. quality of food / service.
After my first visit I left a pretty scathing review, the service was snooty, the door ladies were rude and like those terrible cliches that work in luxury fashion, in danger of believing they are better than their customers, which is odd as this is just a brasserie so not actually a high end eatery. However I’ve been back (it’s close to home and I wasn’t able to convince all of my friends that they would be better off elsewhere). The service and greeting has edged upwards at each visit and after visiting about four times in three weeks on Tuesday we finally had a revelation, all of the staff we encountered were polite and friendly! I’m not sure if it’s because of the sunshine, but long may it last.
The waiter was great! The truffle chicken was also amazing! 100% recommend!
I have never experienced such a poor and unprofessional service. The receptionist was very rude and had an attitude and lack of manners that was more than inappropriate. Such a behaviour does not belong in any restaurant and only disgraces the institution. The Ivy should clearly overthink what clientele they want to attract with such rude staff that grandstands only because they work there.
Excellent cocktails , highly recommend Lavender lady and Ivy Royale . Our waitress -Megan was so pleasant and helpful 😀My daughter was on crutches and the lady seating us, gave us a good table in the conservatory, so helpful.
Great service and ambience. Had a delicious afternoon tea but the scones were disappointing compared to previous occasions.
Excellent food, service and ambience.
Highly recommendable restaurant
Beverages are gorgeous!
Have eaten here a number of times, great atmosphere with good quality food at realistic prices.
Beautiful venue, tasty food and high-quality service! Definitely recommend it!
This was a birthday supper and we were given a table in the orangery, which was very pleasant. The service was good and the crew very friendly. Overall another great visit.
Nice place would have preferred to be seated in forward area of restaurant. Much preferred the Ivy Brasserie Restaurant in Kensington.
Lovely food and beautiful garden, the staff are very friendly and offer great advice and knowledge of the menu.
I love the Ivy Chelsea garden for its warm casual atmosphere, the food is wonderful & the service was impeccable, I’d recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Very loud! Had to shout to make conversation with the wife
We visited the restaurant before the lunch time but the place was already super busy. Luckily we were given the table right next to the conservatory and the view and atmosphere were great. The place is very casual yet the service and food are very high-standard as you'd expect with the Ivy. Blackened Cod was nicely caramelised, and Yellowfin Tuna was fresh and summary. I would definitely recommend Truffle and Parmesan chips!
Re; The Food. We ordered Fish and Chips for my wife and The Hamburger for me. Also; white wine for the Fish and beer for the burger. A coctail in addition.
The coctail came after the whitewine; it should have come BEFORE.
The Fish was "raw"; not at all ready to be served. and not eatable. We complained and you totally agreed that the Fish was not ready, but no question from you about a new Fish so we changed the order to another hamburger, which "strangely" came right away. No question about the wine. We could have asked for a different wine (red) of course, but we think YOU should perhaps have asked us if we were okay with the white wine ( to the Burger ).
Very dissapointing with the Fish of course, but otherwise we enjoyed our first visit to Your restaurant
As always a well cooked and delicious meal with excellent service. A lovely environment with charming staff.
Excellent food and service. It's a pretty restaurant and the staff are very helpful.
Sehr freundliches und kompetentes Personal mit viel Charme
Sehr gutes Essen, leider zu wenig Möglichkeiten für Vegetarier, die auch keinen Fisch essen 😊
Extremely good - very professional but no less enjoyable for that.
We sat in the back of the restaurant in a covered part of the garden with a fire. It was fabulous and incredibly comfortable.
The fantastic place with great afternoon tea. Love it
The service was exceptional. We were looked after really well. You have to try their dessert - chocolate bombe..❤️ ❤️
First time at this venue having tried the Tunbridge Wells version recently. Lovely restaurant with beautiful flowers in the conservatory. Staff were extremely helpful and food was well presented and tasty. Thanks - preferred it to the actual Ivy restaurant!!
Excellent food and service, as always!
Lovely food and spectacular desserts! The chocolate bomb was my absolute favourite!
Amazing experience in London
Amazing food with amazing atmosphere ! Will definitely be visiting again.
We marked our Orthodox Easter with the meal at Ivy’s and we were not disappointed. The meal was outstanding and the service too. The table we sat was nicely located and with the good view of the restaurant. The only thing needed to be changed was at the entrance. The girls at the cloakroom didn’t cope with the guests and it created the backlog of people leaving and coming in. Small space and the people didn’t really make a good impression overall of the place. Then the awaiting area wasn’t good enough at all. We came slightly early before our designated time and the staff were too busy to explain us where to wait.
Overall the restaurant is amazing and the food is excellent. Only few details need to be changed and improved. Thank you for this lovely experience.
Excellent customer service, delicious food. Perfect for weekend brunch!
Amazing place ambience wise. Food was fair, but very priced up and poor choice.
Lovely evening celebrating 40 years of marriage. Food as great waiter very attentive and knowledgable. Will definitely visit again
We were beautifully looked after and the food was excellent.
Went for the first time on Saturday with a best friend from Brazil. We decided to book a table on a whim and it turned out to be fantastic. The service and food was impeccable. The waiter was very helpful and provided an attentive service. The ambiance and the internal decoration of the restaurant is very pleasing and relaxing. We look out onto the garden area and it was beautiful. Definitely going again.
Amazing restaurant located on Kings Road with a good vibe.
Good food , nicely decorated with a top service so would recommend it to anyone.A bit busy and lively so isn’t best choice if you want quite date atmosphere .
Otherwise one of my London’s favorite and will deffinetely come back.
We had a lovely time people watching and had a great table. The ambience was posh, but relaxed. The food was amazing, with a really good selection of vegetarian and fish meals. BUT the chocolate bomb was unbelievable!!! A little bit of heaven on earth and possible the best chocolate desert I have ever had (see picture), they then pour hot salted caramel over it and the fun has just started. We had great service, the staff even coped with a very rude woman who barged in front of my group at reception, with her 'I am more important than you' attitude. We had the last laugh though, she didn't get the best table in the restaurant, we did!! :-) Our waitress was funny, helpful, knowledgeable and a perfect host. Sorry can't remember her name, she was Italian and we were sat in the garden room. Although the Ivy is not cheap, actually for a restaurant in Chelsea with exceptional food, great service and ambience, I thought it wasn't too bad value. Will definitely return, but recommend you reserve your table beforehand.
We went for champagne afternoon tea. The place was V busy but we were still seated v quickly because we had a booking. Our waiter (Valerio) was brilliant, very helpful and friendly. Portions on the afternoon tea were quite small, but the actual teas we had were v good. Valerio placed our wine in a cooler away from the table and was always checking to see if we needed top ups. If you can, try to book the conservatory or garden areas for more space/views of the place. A good mixture of people and even though we’re from Chelsea we were a bit worried it might feel a bit pretentious and high end, it doesn’t at all. The only down points: we were offered water when sitting down. Would’ve asked for a bottle of tap water like everyone else around us if I’d have known it was £4.75 for a bottle of still water! And after our meal we sat at the bar for cocktails. They are quite expensive but the fact he added on a service charge for passing them 6 inches to to us was a bit much! Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and will be back for dinner soon.
It was ok, nothing special, everything all right, but nothing stand out!
The waiter was wonderful, the restaurant was beautiful and the lobster benedict was to die for. Always a winner.
