A regular haunt but this time a Christmas celebration- Black Cod rather than blackened cod has been introduced - it was beautiful rivalling Aqua in Hong Kong
wonderful way to celebrate a special evening . . . table 86 was magic!
Maitre d unaccomodative and difficult to communicate with
Lovely meal celebrating my husbands 30th birthday, would definitely come back!
Amazing food, choices, decor and drinks
We loved the atmosphere, the food and the very thoughtful service! Very pleased with this restaurant that we go to whenever possible!
We were late so I was in a panic as traffic was bad and then I couldn’t ring to explain as the phone just rings out! But got there and were still seated yeahy! Food was amazing just wish they served brunch longer in the week. But amazing food service and fabulous Christmas decorations on the front!
Food was cold.
Poached eggs were hard.
Service was really slow- arrived at 11.. didn't get food until 12.15
Coffee was horrid and was far too strong.
Am local to the Ivy and have been going for years but definitely won't be going back conside by how many other good places there are in the area.. such a shame
Had a lovely time apart from the waitress making a comment about me being my lady's dad ! Other than that will be dining here again great food great vibe !
Poor quality food, sloppy disjointed service and expensive for the outcome.
Delicious food and very accommodating. When I arrive we were seated in the main area and I asked if I could be moved to the garden and you sorted this for us so that was fab.
Only comment was we were brought our bread after our starter arrived.
Excellent food and service (from Kathryn) - we had to wait a little long for an aperitif order to arrive, otherwise no problems with service. Food was excellent, the monkfish and prawn curry followed by the French applie pie. Noise levels were a bit higher than I would have liked but better than the alternative. In summary, the quality of the food and the standard of service from the friendly staff made for an excellent evening.
Always a pleasure to dine here, good service good atmosphere, keep up the standards!
I love that it is buzzing good food and great service .
I went to the ivy in Kensington it was poor and not atmospheric .
Is wonderful place
Very busy fun place to be great staff nice menu wines slightly over the top great evening .
My husband and I met our dear friend from NY with a booking for 7:30pm. Had a lovely table out the back in the corner which was great. However, as I was drinking my tea after our meal, I was kindly given our bill at 10:00pm and asked to leave as there were people waiting for our table!! We weren't ready to leave and I hadn't even finished my tea! So we left. Kindly. Nicely. And as well walked through the restaurant we noticed there were plenty of empty tables. Shame on you. No way to treat guests.
Beautiful place. Staff are friendly helpful nothing is to much. The food was outstanding as well as the services. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend.
General ambiance was good, food was delicious but Our waitress was looking so unhappy and she seemed like she didnt want to serve to us. That made us feel a little bit uncomfortable.
I am Living abroad and was enthusiastic to come to the ivy but next time I am not sure if I feel the same way although the place was adorable.
The Ivy never fails to impress but with this comes high levels of noise!
I enjoyed a very good lunch
The atmosphere was buzzing, service OK ,food good and fun place to be.
Very good experience. Staffs were really nice.
Lovely food and ambiance, great service so really couldn’t fault the place!
Excellent service, atmosphere and great food.
Return visit to Ivy Chelsea Garden! A group of four, for a lunch catch up. Busy at 12pm, but in a nice way, wasn't too noisy and had a good atmosphere. Food was as great as my last visit, which makes them feel a dependable choice / venue! Lots of options to choose from, so great place to take anyone for a special lunch or nice afternoon tea stop.
Breakfast done right!
Booked the Ivy Chelsea Garden for a special birthday lunch. Phoned up months beforehand to ask to increase from 4-7. Was told it wasn’t possible. Luckily for me my booking had gone through twice and so I had 2 reservations each for 4 people. Restaurant were arrogant and dismissive when I asked if they could confirm the tables would be together stating it’s against their policy.
I was in two minds whether to go but we did and they were pretty good at resolving the situation on the day albeit squeezing 7 on a table for 4. Luckily the kids ate first to give us some elbow room. Starters great, mains disappointing especially the fish and chips which had soggy batter. Drinks good and table service good. Had to remind them 4 times it was a special birthday and to bring a small birthday dessert. Would have been nice if they’d been more proactive.
Not cheap but atmosphere is good and good location. I just wish they wouldn’t be so arrogant and be more welcoming....then again I guess it depends on who you are.
I used to love it but the recent visit was awful! Horrible breakfast eggs Benedict. Cold breakfast muffin, not toasted, not nice ham, the dressing was bad. Service was so slow and so rude and not helpful. That it completely turned me off from going again. Decor as always beautiful
I came with my daughter for brunch on Sunday, we both were disappointed with our food as it was not very hot when it arrived but seemed to go cold very very quickly, I not sure how it is cooked & how long it is waiting to be brought to the table, this is also not helped by lack of space between tables & chairs & waiters busy taking orders
Great service, delicious food and lovely atmosphere
Pedro was great front of house
Ivy Chelsea has a beautiful abvianace. Unfortunately the food and the noise level didn’t meet my expectations! I enjoyed my appetizer but the mains were just Okay!
We enjoyed a lovely evening, we had a joyous waiter who made our night so memorable.
He was so funny we tipped him over the amount on the service charge in cash, as we felt he deserved it.
The food, sadly was not as good as the time we ate at the Covent Garden Ivy, the onion soup was not on this menu, although we were happy with the Pumpkin Soup, however the Roasted butternut squash with grains was so dry the two guests who ordered it only ate a few mouthfulls which was a shame as we had enjoyed this dish so much at the Covent Garden restaurant.
Love this restaurant, my wife and I enjoy the whole experience.
The surroundings are stunning, the food is fabulous and the staff are always helpful and attentive, you couldn’t ask for more.
It’s always a pleasure to visit all the Ivys in London.Excellent place to share a lunch with friends!!
The food was super disappointing, I expected much more taste!
The decoration outside is amazing!
Won’t be back :(
Went for a Saturday morning breakfast. Excellent!
Pleasant surroundings reasonable
food. good service, in winter do not sit along the series of tables in front of the doors to the covered garden area. The second door to the garden opens continuously and a freezing draft becomes quite unpleasant.
Absolutely LOVE this place! Usually sit outside but had a lovely experience inside this time! Thanks guys!
