We went here twice during our recent visit to London b/c our daughter loved it so much! Highly recommend for a special occasion or afternoon tea! BEAUTIFUL Atmosphere.
Fantastic food and service.
We will definitely come back again!
Really lovely staff , food arrived very quickly and lovely atmosphere . Will be returning for sure
Service was overly hasty, indeed rushed, at first - even though the place was pretty empty. Wine glasses were overfilled with irritating regularity and when we asked for this to stop the waiter then disappeared altogether.
The food was disappointing: crispy duck was so 'crispy' as to be tooth shattering, the ribeye steak was over done (I had asked for medium rare) and any establishment offering a wine at £4400 a bottle and then serving pre-cooked frozen chips should be ashamed. To finish, we were treated to nearly cold espresso coffee. Not much to shout about here!
Despite the obvious problems in the news, we had a wonderful time and my husband really enjoyed his birthday
Great food, great atmosphere!
Really nice place. The food was not quite as good as we expected.
Outstanding service and good food! the flower decoration outside was stunning!!
Lovely setting, really beautifully decorated. Great staff, very professional. Most of the food was excellent - a tiny whinge about the chips being a bit overcooked, but otherwise really good. Not bad value - we had the daytime menu.
The Ivy on Kings Rd never disappoints. It has a lovely ambience and the food and service are excellent.
İt was very nice venue nice food but expensive
But overall it was good and friendly staff service
We LOVED it and my daughter is begging to return for Tea; just an absolutely beautiful restaurant with great food and service
Delicious food served impeccably in light, verdant and comfortable setting. Service throughout was fantastic and walked the fine balance between attentive and relaxed, always there when needed.
Salad starters were moderate to good: Jackfruit & Peanut Bangbang salad was good, but not wow & Crispy Duck salad was good.
Mains were generous and excellent examples with robust flavour combinations: Salmon&Haddock fishcake with soft gooey poached egg and tasty caper sauce. Chicken Milanese was juicy meat encased in crispy brioche crumb accompanied by a punchy minty, rockety herb salad and green mayonnaise.
Water ice cold, cocktails well mixed and cappuccino's above par. Great little lunch in a accommodating atmosphere. Will come again soon.
Excellent service, highly recommended can’t wait for my next visit.
We wanted somewhere stylish, but relaxed, with excellent food but light options, cocktails, an unfussy wine list and all in an elegant space where we could hear each other rather than everyone else, with an atmosphere that was lively but within which you could feel you were in an intimate space. Found it!
Réunion with friends
Such a lovely meal. Many thanks to all concerned for a really positive experience.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience in the Ivy Chelsea.
The afternoon tea was very good and went with the champagne as well.
Service was excellent.
Only fault table was a bit close together but otherwise v good
Fantastic meal for my husbands 40th birthday. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious and we even got a complimentary birthday cake for my husband. Would recommend to all friends and family.
We had a lovely lunch there this week and there was nothing that we could find to criticize - It was all good and definitely we will be back
Food, service and setting was perfect - highly recommend.
We loved our server Tete, I hope I got his name right, he was lovely
When making my booking I clearly stated we were booking for afternoon tea. I also noted that one of our party was lactose intolerant so required a dairy free alternative. Two days before our booking I telephoned the Ivy to reiterate this information and was told the kitchen would be notified. Therefore on arrival I was very disappointed that our waiter did not realise that we required afternoon tea and had no idea that there was anyone needed a dairy free option. He did not even seem to fully appreciate what this meant. Then a senior waitress came and told us we should have advised the restaurant of this fact and that we would now have to wait for the food to be prepared. We waited more than 30 minutes for any food to arrive. Tea spoons were not provided for the items requiring them, sandwiches were in short supply and no top ups of tea offered. Restaurant was noisy and bustling and we felt the service did not compare at all favourably compared to The Ivy at Covent Garden where we have previously dined. We will not return here.
We had a reservation at 3.30 pm where we requested a table on the terrace. We weren’t seated until 3.50 pm and we weren’t given a table in the terrace area and they told us this is the only available table. The place was so crowded and noisy, the food took 30 mins to arrive and the service was so slow ! To make things worse, upon leaving I couldn’t find my umbrella which was obviously stolen!
Poor and slow service. Don’t attend to you when you need something. The food comes late. The door in the garden needs to be fixed as the whole time we were trying not to get a whole glass door to shatter on us. Service charge shouldn’t of even been on the bill because the service was AWFUL! Such a nice place but probably the worse service I’ve ever had
Awful service today.
Forgetting orders and taking almost an hour between courses then not clearing the table, just poor all round.
Won’t be returning
Fantastic food and great service in beautiful surroundings.
Great cocktails and super service. The food was delicious
Miso black cod divine
Shepherds pie a tiny bit rich
Waiter so attentive
Never left with disappointment! One of the best branch.
Very tasty, will definitely visit again
I was having an early dinner with my daughter before a theatre trip. We were welcomed nicely as is the way of The Ivy.
Service at the table was just ok, nobody was unfriendly at all but I felt as though we were an afterthought as people around us appeared to be getting a more attentive service as several times we had to try to catch an eye.
The food was good as you would expect and the portion sizes generous. My daughter was delighted with her Chocolate Bombe dessert.
It isn’t a particularly cheap place to eat dinner but that wasn’t what I was looking for, we were away for a weekend in London and wanted somewhere nice. Perhaps the fact that we were eating early and the staff were concentrating on setting up for the evening made a difference because I haven’t experienced less than great service previously when I’ve dined there.
I wasn’t dissatisfied enough for it to stop me going again next time the occasion arises.
This restaurant slightly disappointed us I'm afraid. It was extremely noisy and despite having made the reservation several weeks ago our table was next to the main entrance. Towards the end of the meal the service was very slow and dis-jointed. The food on the whole was good, but not likely to return.
Really lovely expirence - went for a friends birthday / engagement and the staff were all super friendly and made the expirence very enjoyable
Too loud, food was nothing special, service was slow - the room was just absolutely crowded
I really enjoyed it, food and service was excellent! The food was not pricey at all!
Saturday Brunch very busy and nice ambience, lovely food, good service, a classic venue in London. Nice place for family brunch or afternoon tea, very busy and staff move along the tables, for my taste, the food arrives a bit too quickly between courses and they try to rush to clear the table, which makes the experience feel a bit rushed. Overall it's still the Ivy ...
Excellent, as always. Beautiful table in the conservatory which is lovely and not noisy.
