Great service, amazing garden.
Great food great setting and good value , although on this occasion the staff seemed to be at odds with each other which was distracting. Not as good as previous visits but will return.
Perfect brunch venue - to watch and to be watched. Service could be improved - got to chase the waiters.
Went there for the first time and definitely not the last. Amazing place with amazing atmosphere, delicious good and 5 star service!
Excellent service, fantastic inner decoration and great food. Eating next to Pippa Middleton and her husband was an additional perk.
This is a very nice place if you wanna go for a buzzy dinner Friday night. Our waiter was sooo funny and friendly (unfort I forgot his name!, perhaps Will?) and we had an amazing time. The food is always good at the Ivy.
Don't expect a quiet dinner as you may share your space with really drunk young lads that spent hours around there drinking... Good atmosphere anyway!!
Nice ambience and decor. Food good but nothing special. Service however was poor - slow and disorganized
Thank you for a wonderful evening of great food and service! We will be back soon and highly recommend this restaurant.
Did not disappoint! We sat in the conservatory which was perfect and our request for a vegetarian afternoon tea was accommodated happily. A beautiful setting for a special occasion. I would highly recommend.
I had a table booked for 2 people for lunch but another friend joined us for 10 mins for a drink & not good. She was asked to leave & was not even served a drink, there was certainly room for her to have a drink if not eat. The staff were rude & unhelpful.
Fabulous food, great ambiance, amazing value - pretty much sums it up!
Just excellent in every way. Thank you.
Lovely food and beautiful garden!! Great location for summer, only thing was the waitress kept taking our drinks away when half full, they don’t even ask if your finished with your drink! Must be so you order more... other then that no complaints - must visit
We went out for a lunch at the Ivy, loved it as usual. Great ambience and service.
A great place for a catch up with friends, definitely recommend! :)
Amazing place, stunning decor. Food can be hit & miss but last meal there was pretty good (if slightly cold!)
Rushed through dinner by staff wanting the table to sit another booking.
I am a great fan of The Ivy Chelsea Garden. It is within close proximity to my office and I use it regularly for business meetings and entertaining clients. The service is faultless, the food excellent and the ambience superb. The lady in reception, whose name I don't know but rides a Honda motorbike, if particularly good, helpful and accommodating. My dining weakness has to be the 'bombe'. Every time I go I try and order a different dessert but I always end up eating the bombe. I will keep trying. They make an excellent 'spicy' Bloody Mary and have some very reasonably priced Bordeaux on the wine list. My favourite table is 306 but second is 63. Lovely staff. If you are in Chelsea you should go there. Don't take my table though . . .
Good but expensive
Food delicious but service when it came to puddings slow. My creme brûlée tasted good but unfortunately didn’t have a crunchy sugar topping. We were given coffee a long time before puddings arrived too which was a shame for a restaurant of this quality.
Beautiful venue and great menu. Perfect for any occasion.
Great service with fabulous food. Thank you for accommodating my cousin’s 8 month baby so thoughtfully.
Amazing food, service impressive, unfortunatly they made us leave the table after 2 hours...
Fabulous food. Fabulous setting! Look forward to going back when you can sit outside and enjoy the garden.
Many many thanks to Thomas and team for providing 10/10 service to our meal today - it was much appreciated and your smile and helpfulness was fabulous!
Fabulous lunch , delicious food, beautifully presented. Extensive menu, service was impeccable . Knowledgable and attentive staff. Great experience.
Fabulous as always
on arrival we were turned away as we were 45 minutes early for our table, we were told the bar was busy and to come back later. When we returned we had to ask to leave are coats, front of house was not very friendly poor service. When seated the waiter was very in your face (literally his face was resting on my shoulder) very off putting. We ordered drinks 10 minutes later the waiter come over again asking if we wanted to order drink (we already ordered) we ordered gin and tonics which was not served in a gin glass or with cucumber and lime which is what the ivy g&t comes with also the incorrect tonic was served. Food was nice but Overall service was poor it wasn't the Mother's Day lunch I envisioned I would no recommend or return! The ivy London Bridge is 10 times better.
I love the Ivy and go a lot to all of them but unfortunately on this occasion I had booked 3 tables as could not get a large table for my family , I phoned 2 days previous and asked if they could try to put the tables close to eachother and they said they would. On arrival they could not of out is further apart we were wall on seperate sides of the restaurant. Even the staff commented on how silly it was and tried to get us closer as there were lots of options to do so but unfortunately the Restaurant manager was very rude and unhelpful and gave me a lecture on their timescale policy. My son vacated his table of 4 after an hour to sit in the gardens so he was below the 2 hour seating and when my husband asked for another bottle of wine we were reminded that we had to vacate our table by 8 pm which we did easily, I think the manager needs to address his table side manner apart from that I love The Ivy.
The dining experience is none other than extraordinary, greater service and good food.
However, remind your guests not to be late as they run a very tight schedule and will remind you of the amount of time you have left on the table.
Birthday lunch for my daughter's 30th. The food is delicious, well priced with generous portions. The cocktails are really delicious. They put a candle in some truffles with a birthday chocolate and sang happy birthday which was a nice touch. Only niggles would be the toilets are really cold and you only get the table for 2 hours. Could have done with an extra half hour to enjoy a coffee and digestif. Otherwise a lovely afternoon.
Having been to The Ivy, Covent Garden and The Ivy Market Grill, I was looking forward to trying The Ivy Chelsea Garden. We were given a warm welcome and shown to our table within the beautiful restaurant. Our waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and well presented. We were having a marvellous time, but unfortunately we were left with a sour taste on the whole experience after my darling husband decided to surprise me by dropping in while we had our coffee only to be told in an extremely blunt, inhospitable manner by a member of staff he wouldn't be able to stay - despite the lovely young ladies next to us expressing the fact that they had no objections to him sitting next to me. Whilst I completely understand it must be policy not to sit 'extra' people at tables and encroach on other diners there are ways of dealing with these circumstances. The matter could have been dealt with in a far more polite, convivial manner which would have left my husband (who of course decided he would not be spoken to in such a tone and left), me and my friend, and the ladies next to us, with a far more fitting view of the experience as a whole. Customer experience and handling is such a delicate matter and there are those that get it spot on and those that simply don't.
I have been to this restaurant at kings road few times but I feel it is loosing its charm as it’s oversubscribed. Inside staff is very friendly and cheerful as always but the food was a complete let down. I don’t want to comment about staff at the door as I feel they must be trained to be the way they are. Over cooked meat when asked for medium done, changed the meat with apologies but took very long to be redone(obviously).
Taste was average.
Overall quite a bad experience which is surprising as I Have dined there many times before. I asked for a table in the conservatory when we got inside there was a corner table and I was told that was for 4 people. However as soon as we sat down another couple came in and were given the corner table! The food was pretty tasteless too which didn’t help things and this was basically everything we ordered. Then to top things off when we tried to retrieve our umbrella someone has stolen it! It was an expensive heavy weight umbrella costing £80 and when we spoke with the staff who stand next to the umbrellas and check people in they didn’t seem that bothered.
The door staff were incredibly rude. I had taken my mother their for a special celebratory occasion and they tried to turn us away and were incredibly unhelpful. Once I finally was able to confirm our booking they made us stand in the waiting room for ages making us hold our coats while they helped other arrival guests before us. Then when we went inside we got made to then stand in a very busy area at the bar where people are trying to walk past. We got pushed and shoved until our table was ready. We were dressed nicely. Looked our best and were not rude and I was completely embarrassed and upset by the experience we received here. Even more so for my mother! Thanks for ruining our mothers day and time together! Completely rude!
Beautiful restaurant!!! The staff greet you straight away with a warm and welcoming smile asking how we are and how the can help . I was in London on a trip and was happy to take my suitcase off me in a safe location . Service was incredible 10/10 . Staff go the extra mile to make our experience remberable for all the correct reasons. The food was beautiful we had breakdfast and it filled me up all day ! Portions are brilliant and the presentation of the food is outstanding!
The restaurant is beautiful outside and in.... the decor outside to the clean beautiful table settings made every little touch enjoyable.
We was not hurried or rushed wich really does make every difference.
Thank you so much for the BEST restaurant experience yet !
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening - everything was just excellent
Always love this restaurant as it is very lively and fun. The only thing is that they should rather relax with some of their rules like not letting people join when there is plenty of room.
Seating request was honored. Thank you. Service was attentive w/o hovering. Setting on patio w/fire burning was lovely&quiet so conversation w/ friends was possible. Food very good but a bit pricey for portions. Overall very satisfying experience
I brought my parents and 1-yr-old here for breakfast. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The breakfast is excellent, and reasonably priced. The place itself is beautiful, you'd never know you were on the busy King's Road. My parents loved it, thank you. It is a really special place.
