Ivy Kensington Brasserie
Sample our extensive range of quality food and delicious cocktails at your leisure from breakfast until late, whether you are a local resident, work close by or are visiting some of London’s best loved landmarks such as The Royal Albert Hall.
Our garden terrace is situated at the back of our restaurant and provides the perfect respite away from the hustle and bustle of the high street. Adorned with flowers and foliage, it is the perfect spot to soak up the sun during the summer months. Due to the nature of British summer our terrace cannot be booked ahead, so please just pop in.
Open seven days a week and comprised of a main restaurant, bar and a semi-private table for ten for an extra special experience, The Ivy Kensington Brasserie provides the perfect setting for any occasion.
Beautiful restaurant- great for a nice night out or a date, just make sure you have time to spare. The service was a bit slow but more as though to enjoy your time there. Food was lovely and the atmosphere was great too.
Went for dinner before the Proms and is a comfortable walk from the Royal Albert Hall.
Nice restaurant atmosphere, staff very attentive and the food good. Also a good location for a pre-theatre meal.
Really enjoyable! Lovely food and the staff were very pleasant and helpful
Delicious food and impeccable service. Perfect place to come for a special occasion.
We experienced a warm reception, followed by outstanding service, which was quick and attentive. The food and drink both provided were also to a high standard, very pleased overall and would definitely visit again. Thank you!
Took my friend for a birthday meal. Staff were so lovely and attentive. Would go again!!
Very nice dinner, good service good food. Were that for a special occasion and met all expectations.
We only had 1hr before the Proms and the head waiter was amazing, knowledgeable and friendly
Wanted to bring Dorset ladies to town to celebrate a birthday.
PreProm package was well priced and the salmon was sublime.
Even though we opted for more drinks rather than pudding a little birthday plate came! So delighted with that! Overall a great choice we agreed.
Pre dinner drinks took a long time be served at table. Had to ask twice as to when they would arrive. Extra bar staff improve service on busy evenings
The atmosphere and the soft music, the food, the dessert and the service were first class. The welcoming at the entrance as soon as we arrived was very friendly and warm. I would recommend The Ivy restaurant to all my friends and family. The price is not cheap, but worth every penny.
Superb fresh food and great service. We will be back!
I loved it, great food, great service, great presentation, great ambience, great buzz. I cant wait to go back!
We had a great meal but especially enjoyed the desert of apple tarts flambé In calvados
Excellent Pre Prom Menu
Could not fault it. The waitress must have heard me talking about it being my husband's birthday and he was presented with a tiny birthday patisserie with candle at the end of the meal.
We booked here for our Wedding Anniversary but were on a tight timescale due to going on to a concert afterwards. The swift and courteous service made us feel relaxed, the food was very good and pretty good value too.
My friend and I were delighted with our visit this week prior to the Proms. The special menu of three courses with a cocktail was wonderful. The service, the ambience and ofcourse the food was brilliant. We shall be back.
I met my godson for lunch here. We hadn’t met up for 25 years. We had a very good relaxed lunch, and service by Emanuel was impeccable. We both agreed this had been a perfect choice.
Food to be expected by The Ivy standards. Was hard however to get some waiter service and table next door refused to pay service charge.
Everything is right about the Ivy Kensington Brasserie, from the street entrance through to the last drop of coffee. The decor and ambiance is great, the staff are so smart and attentive, the food amazing value - we had the Proms fixed menu, three courses including an excellent cocktail all for £28.00. The food was well thought out with sensible portions, the Hosin Duck was really delicious. We've now had the pleasure of eating at most of the Ivy Brasserie Restaurants and have had the same excellent dining experience at all of them, their formula of value, great service and lovely decor and ambiance really works.
Enjoyable meal for my mothers birthday.
Food is good but the service is aloof.
Still annoyed that we had an entree which came with toast and we said don't bring the toast but when the food came we asked them to bring us toast so they charged £5 for a side of toast.
Was that really necessary?
Plenty of other options with real charm in London
Great venue with lovely ambience and delicious breakfast. No kids breakfast menu but other than that had a fantastic time with two 6 year olds, and our 16 month old.
Steak under cooked. But this was rectified with new steak no squabbles. My wife lobster linguine was lovely. I would recommend this place
We booked for a special occasion as some family were visiting from the US. We had a lovely table on a separate raised area at the back of the restaurant. Service was excellent all night and the food was delivered promptly. A very enjoyable evening was had by all.
Nice food and great service
Wonderful meal served in the beautiful, airy garden room. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Really lovely food, environment and atmosphere. Waiter started clearing the table before all of our party were finished, however, and when we pointed this out made things a little more awkward than they ought to have been.
Beautiful restaurant with friendly and efficient staff. The food was excellent, the best prawn cocktail I’ve had in a long time👍🏻.We’ll definitely visit again on our next trip to London.
Service was really not up to standard with what you would expect with The Ivy name.
I’m never disappointed when I’m here. Great service, good food. Fell always welcome here. Even though they are fully booked they try to find me a table.
Perfect, highly recommended. Great evening and beautiful food
Very good food and service. The table was very small, and would have seemed cramped if the table next to us was occupied, but it wasn't, so that was okay. The restaurant was a bit noisy, but it was Early Friday evening, so very busy. We had the set pre-Prom meal, so the price was good for this expensive part of London.
Very friendly staff and excellent service.
My breakfast was cooked perfectly.
Would highly recommend
This is a useful meeting place in the area and has a lively vibe. Service was slow and a bit chaotic this time. Food is always very mediocre so stick with the simple things. It's all about the atmosphere.
Service, food, ambiance - everything is always magnificent at The Ivy
Just disappointing. My crab starter felt stingy, with too much mayo, not enough seafood, and sauces that had the whiff of a day or two too long in the fridge. Scallops were delicious but stingy. Two tiny specimens so effectively just a mouthful. My husbands steak was perfectly ok but on the small side, slightly over cooked, and without any sides included felt overpriced. My tuna main was bizarre. A smallish portion of lovely fish with Matcha noodles which can only be described as revolting. They tasted as though they had been over cooked a few days before and left out to go rancid. Honestly the most unpleasant mouthful I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The waiter kindly brought me another side, which we weren’t charged for, of sweet potatoes which were edible but obviously microwaved, as steaming in part and fridge cold in others. Another side of broccoli with miso butter had no miso butter, but I didn’t want to ruin lunch with a second complaint as it was my husbands birthday. A shared desert of ice cream sundae was delicious. The bill for £160 felt very excessive for smallish plates of mediocre food. I’ve been a customer of the original Ivy and sister restaurants for decades so was excited about visiting the Brasserie. Shame it feels like a mid range franchise. Albeit with good service in a pretty setting.
Excellent food, charming staff. What a great, calming place to have breakfast.
Last minute booking for a Sunday night. Have been before at Christmas and maybe because the restaurant was less busy this time, I preferred last visit.
However, food was good -as was the wine- and reasonably priced, all considered.
Service good and attentive but not overbearing. Great decor!
Took my daughter , as a treat,(aged 20) and we both enjoyed.
Thanks for everything and the best food ever and service and special cocolat bom best regards Magnús
