Ivy Kensington Brasserie
Sample our extensive range of quality food and delicious cocktails at your leisure from breakfast until late, whether you are a local resident, work close by or are visiting some of London’s best loved landmarks such as The Royal Albert Hall.
Our garden terrace is situated at the back of our restaurant and provides the perfect respite away from the hustle and bustle of the high street. Adorned with flowers and foliage, it is the perfect spot to soak up the sun during the summer months. Due to the nature of British summer our terrace cannot be booked ahead, so please just pop in.
Open seven days a week and comprised of a main restaurant, bar and a semi-private table for ten for an extra special experience, The Ivy Kensington Brasserie provides the perfect setting for any occasion.
My husband and i have been going to the Ivy for a few years now and have always enjoyed our experience. The only downside this time was my meal. I had the blackened cod which was lovely but there was a side of pickled cabbage covered in corriander. I have a very very strong dislike to corriander and it did not specify it was in the dish which in my opinion it should be mentioned as it is a very strong flavour and actually after taking a mouthful of it, it turned me off the rest of my meal.
Great social distance protocols in place. Felt very confident and happy with the provisions, staff were helpful and warm whilst maintaining social distancing. Food was as usual excellent.
Really lovely experience, our waiter was very friendly and made us laugh. Our table was nice as well, and the food was also excellent. No complaints whatsoever!!! :)
Great evening As usual at the Brasserie in Kensington. Only thing was service was not it’s usual 100% and birthday note on reservation was not acknowledged which was a shame. Other than that food was great and ambience perfect
Great restaurant with friendly staff. Has a good menu and wine list. Would highly recommend.
Stunning restaurant with beautiful, tasty food. Staff work super hard to be attentive. Set menu is amazing value and reflective of their a la carte options.
Just what we needed after a hard day's sightseeing at Kensington Palace. We eat off the 2 set menus. The food was of high quality and well presented and the service was swift and friendly. The decor is classy and the Covid precautions are effective but discrete.
The drinks were also well made and lived up to expectation.
The final bill was reduced by the 'eat out to help out' scheme, otherwise it might have been a bit of a shock to the system, but even so the value for money was fair
The waitress ignored me for about 15 minutes. Food good as ever but the service clearly suffered from the pandemic.
The portions in comparison to previous visits were smaller than usual for the truffles arancini, as for the zucchini fritte, undercooked and cold on the inside.
We ordered steaks with sauce béarnaise, which was hastily prepared as we tasted more of the egg yolk than the full complexion of the sauce with almost no hint of the estragon. The sirloin (21 day aged) steaks were cold (for medium rare) and flavourless for a prime cut.
The service was good.
Case of lockdown rustiness and August holiday fatigue?
Lovely food, very nice experience all round. Am eating out here more and more.
Fantastic service ,delicious food , great ambiance .
Very good service/food. Aperospritz not great. A nice place for lunch
We had a lovely evening - we will definitely be returning!
It was a first since lockdown and a generally enjoyable experience. There was a lack of sharpness in the service: it lacked attentiveness. I was a bit surprised that staff came up quite close without a face covering. Food good but not outstanding.
Everything was excellent until the end when a different waiter to the one who had served us came with the bill and made us feel that he was kicking us out. We said we just had to finish out drinks but he came up several times within as many minutes. This was the only disappointing part of our visit.
Artan and his team right on the ball, as usual...
A little over-priced and we had to send back the bill three times as it was incorrect! But ambience good and staff were friendly.
As always the food was perfect, the environment delightful and a lovely birthday experience:-)
Good prompt service, sticking to Covid guidelines, would recommend and would go back.
nice setting, good service and good food. It was an enjoyable experience.
Really lovely food and attentive service (catering for nut and sesame allergies). The restaurant arranged for a cosy corner table and surprise dessert treat for our anniversary. Bubbly but not too busy atmosphere throughout the meal. Overall it has a refined but relaxed feel, and would recommend for a couple going out.
Absolutely fantastic brunch, good service and made my wife's birthday very enjoyable.
Service was slow
Lively but elegant, nice atmosphere With the open front we felt comfortable regarding Covid
Good food as always
Excellent service, top notch food. The Ivy have done a great job making the restaurant covid compliant without losing any of the atmosphere. Go there and support the team who make it happen, you’ll have a great time !
Service good a bit rushes at first overall good
This is our favorite restaurant in Kensington. Get a table in the Garden if possible because it transports you to a small cafe/restaurant in a European city. If you want the bussle of a busy restaurant in Paris then opt for the main restaurant. Food consistently wonderful. Tried the Blacken Cod for the first time and it was delicious.
The Ivy is consistently good and a joy to go to, irrespective of which restaurant.
Very impressed with the temperature technology being used as you enter, liked the spray hand sanitizers on the tables. Food was delicious. Service was good a little slower than I would have liked at some points but overall very good. Excellent choice for vegetarians and pescatarian patrons.
Food was delicious, service was impeccable and super quick. Servers were polite and welcoming. Also quite good value for money, would highly recommend
We did not need help and it was not offered. Menu was clear about ingredients.
Our waiter was not wearing a mask and did not respect social distancing, ie came a bit too close to diners.
Great as always ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I went with my daughter for lunch. We were celebrating her getting her first job. She had a Hemingway cocktail, I had an Ivy Royale, which were both delicious and pink and celebratory. It is an attractive brasserie with a long bar, which is a good way to furnish a restaurant. The staff were very attentive and very kindly gave us a little celebration cake as I had told the waitress the reason for our visit (proud mum couldn't help herself). All in all an enjoyable and memorable visit. We ate seabass and haloumi salad which were good. I'd recommend the truffle chips.
Lovely food as always with the Ivy restaurants...
The Ivy Kensington is sensational and It offers something for every taste. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel special . The ambiance is exciting and the staff cant wait to make your occasion one to remember. .
The food is just moth watering though I am an addict for the blackened cod and the chocolate bomb. It is so nice to feel you have stepped back in time where service at restaurants were just perfect and you left a the restaurant. feeling happy
, content and looking forward to returning very soon.
We ordered the grilled halloumi and it was a hunk about 4 cm thick of raw halloumi that had been barely touched by the grill. Ideally it would have been sliced and grilled. The service was amazing.
If you are a Chelsea and Kensington resident ( and even from further afield in) this is an idea spot for Sunday lunch/brunch. The menu ticks all the right boxes and there is a lot to occupy the eyes as well as the mouth. I would like to return and try the restaurant and other times of the day.
In spite of all the covid-19 measures the Ivy has not lost any of its previous atmosphere.
We felt safe, the service was excellent and the food was up to its usual high standard.
