Clearly ordered vegetarian starter and main. Have not eaten meat for 30 years. As main was a pie took a bite to find it was meat. Even worse was no real apology, no discount no customer service recovery attempt. Great decor, buzzy place just dreadful delivery.

A friendly welcome was received at reception & although two of us were early we were shown to our table.
We attended The ivy garden Kensington on weds to celebrate my daughter & her boyfriends graduation

The table was well placed so we could all converse easily.
The food was lovely & the champagne perfectly chilled.
Some had cocktails which they enjoyed although the Pinot Grigio some of our guests ordered wasn’t cold enough for their taste. Rectified by placing in a wine bucket

I regularly eat at Ivy restaurants & generally the food is of a great standard & service friendly but very efficient.

Although service wasn’t swift we were unrushed & had a lovely evening.

We all enjoyed the evening & will no doubt return.

A pleasant ambience in the garden room, which even in October was warm. The garden room was less noisy than the main restaurant.

Rather disappointing experience I must admit. We waited far too long to be served - at least 10 minutes before our waiter acknowledged our arrival and took our order, then another 15 for the desert menu to be brought. The waiter serving drinks did not bring the water I had ordered and didn’t think to take away the empty wine glasses we didn’t need - I had to ask him to do so. The host at the door didn’t hold the coat to my mother when we were leaving. Overall this made for a lacklustre experience. I don’t usually make the effort to leave negative reviews but this really made for an underwhelming dining experience and I will not be coming back. Disappointing particularly as the original Ivy is such a fantastic place, one expects that reputation and standards of service to be upheld in its sister restaurant.

Superb service that we really appreciated. Dined late afternoon/early evening but lovely atmosphere and they were getting nice and ‘buzzy’ as we left. Enjoyed our meal very much, personally my turbot on the bone could have done with a few minutes less cooking, but a lovely pre ‘royal albert hall show’ meal that made for a memorable night. Thank you.

I always have nice experience in Ivy brasserie. I have been to High Street Ken, Chelsea and Richmond ones and my favourite one is at the High St Ken. I gave four stars for the service because I had to wait for 15-20 minutes for a still water to be served. This happened last time I went to this branch. I had to remind them twice (for both visits) but still they took too long to serve a single glass of water. It seems like their system is bit weird in this sense.
Anyway foods are always good standard for the money and I usually bring my friends or clients to this restaurant and they are pleased with the food. This time I had a brunch, Full english breakfast, eggs benedict and Royale. Overall I am happy with the ambients and food. The noisy level was bit high as the restaurant was full but the tables were sensibly apart so it was bearable.

Went to the ivy for my husbands bday. We have eaten there many times before and wanted to try the new menu.
We were seated quickly and that was it. It was 15 minutes before someone came for drink order. We were ready to order everything but he said he had to come back. We ordered a glass of champagne and wine. 10 min later the wine arrived. Another 10 minutes later we had to ask for the glass of champagne that was sitting on the bar. Then we ordered. The guy was quite confused by our simple order. When the food came finally most of the food was good as always but the steak over cooked with a huge amount of fat so mostly inedible. The chicken was undercooked in the centre. No one checked on us. We ordered more drinks but they took ages. Luckily we had water! We ordered dessertsand coffees. Despite reminding them that it was a bday there wasn’t no acknowledgment and we’ve been before where a msg is written on the plate and a special dessert. Despite spending almost 300 pounds we were very let down!

This restaurant is sometimes good sometimes bad and lacks consistency. The service on Sunday was slow and the food "Risotto" could have been presented in a much more attractive way i would suggest this could be reviewed. Overall it did not represent good value quality v price

Great food, lovely decor and impeccable service. They even brought a tiny birthday cake to the table, which was a nice surprise. £108 for the two of us, for 3 courses, with champagne bellinis to start and coffees to end, seems like good value, for a quality restaurant like the Ivy.
The apple fine tart flambe with calvedos is a good dessert, and probably enough to share between two.

And having a 6 foot, super-model waitress approach your table, carrying a tiny copper pan of calvedos and a blow torch, who then sets fire to your dessert at the table with burning calvedos, adds some fun "theatre" to the whole dining experience. The 6 foot, super-model waitress might not be there for every service, but the dessert is guaranteed delicious.

Ambiance is nice and very chic, ordered a fillet steak and fries for 35 pounds and the steak was on the small side and not so flavorful on its own, without the addition of a peppercorn sauce which made it pretty tasty. Fries were a bit dry and barely filling. Service was great and attentive, but could have done with a bit more warmth. Wife had a very delicious tuna salad though. For the price though I wish I was more impressed

Very good, as usual.
Only small detail was that the lime with the fish at both dishes was totally dried out, after requesting new ones they came again totally dried out.
The waiter then had to cut fresh lime in the kitchen himself to serve us.

The interior looks wonderful and there are plenty of staff - sadly they appear to take no notice at all of the customers!

Service was diabolical, we were either ignored, had the same questions asked over and over, and then items came twice! The fish was overcooked, the loos out of order , the aircon freezing and the staff simply oblivious.

Not good! We deducted the service charge obvs.

I do like the Ivy but, it’s losing its appeal and I’m not 100% sure I would go there again. The food is good but I’m getting bored with the menu. Some things, like the shepherds pie have been there for decades and I struggled to find something I really wanted. In the end I had the chicken Milanese which was okay not great. The fried egg wasn’t crispy at the bottom and only just cooked on top - I can do much better and I’m not a chef at the Ivy!

The seating is cramped. Greed has overtaken comfort and you’re sat too close to other diners. It’s impossible to have a private conversation and I felt very self conscious talking to my wife. It was her birthday which is special to us but clearly not the Ivy. A token cake the size of a Ferraro Roche with a candle stuck on it was shoved on the table without ceremony. I remember the days when they would present a plate with your name written on it in icing wishing you happy birthday and they made a fuss; it made you feel special. Now, the staff have so little time to do anything it’s all a rush; a consequence of the cram them in, feed them quick approach they’ve adopted.

The service was okay but impersonal. We had to ask for the remainder of our bottle of wine after they cleared our wine glasses; again, I fear this is due to the number of people the staff have to keep track of.

All in all, this restaurant is okay (but expensive) for a regular supper or a pre-theatre bite to eat. It’s not special enough for a special occasion and, if things don’t improve, I fear for their future.

The old saying less is more still rings true and in this context, fewer would be better for your customers and staff

Overall a terrible experience. I’ve dined in most of the ivy brasseries, they certainly shouldn’t rely on the older Sister, the ivy, for comfort. I took a journalist from The Metro for a Pr business lunch and thought it an overall lousy experience, as did she. I would not come back.

Food was amazing and the atmosphere was great only comment was the waiter was not as attentive as we when our meal came no one came back to check if it was ok or if we wanted anything else. Also had to wait a while for dessert menu. Waiter seemed more interested in clearing and setting the tables nearby. Then had to wait ages to pay the bill!
