My partner and I done out a lot, and when she said let’s try the Ivy grill, I thought I would be a little under dressed as we had been out shopping for the day, however I did not feel out of place as the restaurant had a very relaxed feel to it, the food was by far some of the best food we have ever eaten, and the service wow amazing so so good, value for money this has been by far one of our favourite restaurants.
Friendly staff who will do anything to accommodate. Another great meal at the Ivy. Would very highly recommend!
The Ivy Market Grill was set in a fantastic location within Covent Garden. The restaurant is beautifully presented and the food wasn't delicious! Both my girlfriend and I were very impressed with our meals and I would recommend the chocolate bomb for desert!
Booked as had heard good things and it proved to be right. We had a great evening in a very enjoyable atmosphere with superb food. Thanks will return when we are next in this part of London.
Really tasty food. The service was excellent with everything arriving at the right speed. Probably our fourth or fifth visit and every time has been excellent.
Celebrated a wedding anniversary recently at The Ivy Market Grill. Superb venue. Great menu, good service, good atmosphere, fabulous food quality. Highly recommended
Arrived at restaurant 20 minutes early and was told bar was busy and no where for us to go so come back at 6.30 when table booked . Thought this a little rude and not good first impression .
However, waiter service was good, food was excellent and we enjoyed the meal .
Very helpful and attentive staff arrived earlier than we booked a table for and we were still seated as a table was found for us .
The food was delicious but drinks are a bit pricey but overall a lovely place to eat.
Lovely food but the service was quite poor. Waiting ages to give order, to get food, to get the bill etc. Also, once the food had arrived for 3 of 4 diners, we were told that the food wasn't available for one of our guests and he had to order something else.
This was a great place to celebrate a pre theatre anniversary. Great location and service. This branch of the Ivy serves a great weekend brunch/comfort food at surprisingly reasonable prices.
Having visited last year and really enjoyed it, we were slightly disappointed with this visit. Service was good, I didn’t feel the food matched to our previous experience and was slightly let down we were unable to sit outside.
Great evening again at this fantastic restaurant. Great food, service, value all at a great central location.
Decided to book based on reviews read. We were on a time schedule as off to a show like most people at the restaurant. We were booked in for 5.45pm. Shown to our table straight away and sat outside which is lovely. A good atmosphere & heaters which were appreciated as temperature had dropped.
We ate off the pre theatre menu as we're unaware we could eat off the main menu as our waiter didn't explain that to us.
Took 10minutes for them to ask about drinks so when he did we asked if we could order food as well. He said no but we insisted as we were aware of time. He was annoyed at us for making him do that. We ordered the minute steak and cheese for dessert thinking it would save us time by ordering both together.
The steak came very very quickly. Our drinks took some time and we were half way through our main before we got them. We also ordered a side of broccoli but this never arrived!
The waiter forgot that we had ordered the cheese so when we eventually got this we had about 10minutes to eat it and pay the bill before we left.
I was disappointed as the service was poor and food ok. Not sure what all the hype is about.
Alot of people complaining as they were unable to finish their food before having to leave and drinks coming after they have finished food.
Went to christophers the next day now they know what service is there! The ivy could learn a thing or too off them.
The whole experience was first class, we arrived early before the theatre and the place was packed with a lovely atmosphere.
Love the ivy food & cocktails amazing 🥂
We emigrated to Canada 2 years ago and were visiting family, we have eaten here at least 5 times over the years and is our Go to place when in town. Food is superb and service is very good.
Couldn't fault it. Excellent food and service. Thanks.
A very long delay between starter and main course which made us have to rush the puddings in order to catch our train
Felt the waiter had too many tables to cover but was very helpful in getting our puddings to us quickly and dealing with the payment swiftly
Food was good but no more than of average standard - we expected better
Will not be in a rush to return
Excellent food and service. In Covent Garden for meal before the theatre; an oasis for Brits.
The food was okay, not amazing but good, what made this special was the service from the waiting staff, they treated us as if we were special and important and allowed us to stay for three hours
Setting was very impressive and we were looking forward to celebrating my wife’s birthday, but the service really let the evening down. We felt like we were an inconvenience and it was hard to catch the attention for of the serving staff. I feel like places where the service is added automatically bring the quality of the service significantly down. Food was nice, but nothing special and I wouldn’t race back.
Always a pleasure to come here. Lovely staff and super food.
Always a great dining experience at this restaurant. Good breakfast menu. Polite, efficient service.
Very good food once again, but this time the service was a real let down. The barman (perhaps new?) was extremely slow and didn't seem to have much of a clue -- £10.41 for a G&T - Really? The waiter was only slightly better. No teaspoon with the prawn cocktail (lovely prawns). I had the dessert menu given to me upside down and my spoon placed on the wrong side. He appeared to be paying more attention to the restaurant than us. A shame, he let the side down. Loved the Lemon Meringue Alaska - as always, excellent!
Poor service, but delicious steak frites and pannacotta !
Excellent food and good value for money we have been there several times and this comment is true for all our visits.
The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We visited as part of a family trip to London for my birthday. At the end of our meal the waiter arrived with a sweet treat with a candle and a chocolate square that had happy birthday wrote on it.
Everything about our visit was outstanding. A real treat for us, and reasonably priced. A bit of luxury at an affordable price.
Absolutely lovely meal for our 1st wedding anniversary. Great food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere. It was everything I wanted to suprise my wife, and she loved it. Everything was amazing.
Really enjoyed our early evening meal. The service was attentive and friendly and we were not rushed off the table. The atmosphere was great and great music playing. The food was delicious and not overpriced.
Early afternoon and a to many dishes unavailable, there service could’ve been better served flat soft drinks. Food was fantastic though very fresh and tasty the atmosphere was good
A good venue and good food. Service a little slow in regards to initial drinks and the meal felt a little rushed but overall good.
We arrived early for a reservation no problem we were given a table downstairs small but comfortable service was exceptional as was the food
Great service, lovely atmosphere and delicious food
regular visitors to ivy msrket grill...various locations .always excellent food, service efficient and friendly nothing is too much trouble. our favourite restaurant. highly recommend
Very pleasant family brunch pre theatre. Enjoyed the food which is rare these days. Look forward to returning.
Brilliant evening !!! I tried for the first time a French Malbec and it was the perfect match with my tartare....Thanks to Angelo for looking after me and my guest in a very professional and not intrusive way. Definetly we will be back again
Food lovely. Great ambience. Service let it down. Pre-theatre table booked for 5.45. Didn’t get out until 7.20. Service was slug, inattentive. Didn’t seem to know what was on the pre-theatre menu when we gave our order. Charged us for 3 courses instead of 2 when we received the bill. Service charge included which may explain it.....
Very high standard of food and excellent service in a quiet and chilled environment. The 2nd time I have been there and will be there again for a meal and drinks pre theatre.
An absolutely lovely meal in a fantastic setting. Really wonderful treat with delicious food at surprisingly reasonable prices. Gorgeous decor and a lovely slice of theatrical London. My only quibble would be that they didn't mark our table down as arrived with Open Table so we had to quibble a no show which was a bit irritating but it seems to have been rectified.
Food was nice. Shame about waiters attitude to the discretionary service charge being not paid and still trying to add to bill
