I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff and the chef for going that extra mile for me. After recently being diagnosed with Bowel Disease, my love of food and eating out has been a challenge. Nothing was too much trouble and I was left having just as good experience as those of all that dined with us that night. Thank you all very much
We were a party of 8 ladies and the restaurant was quiet, due to Coronivirus. Our pre dinner drinks arrived, promptly. Two ladies from our party, ordered chicken. This was served, initially, without red wine sauce and the chicken dish was cold. We informed the waitress, who apologised, and she took the food back to the kitchen. Their chicken dish was returned, ten mins later and this time, their chicken dish was served hot, with a portion of red wine juis. Overall, the food was very tasty. Although the restaurant was very quiet and there were several waiting staff, no one came to ask us if we would like wine with our meal. We had to ask a member of staff to order a bottle of wine. A young waiter cleared away glasses from our table and the glass fell out of his hand. The glass fell against the shoulder of one lady and a little of the drink, spilled over another ladies coat. Also, whilst topping up wine, a waiter served a savingnon blanc on top of a pinot grigio. He apologised for this and the bottle was not charged for. When our desserts were being served, the waiter offered us complimentary coffees, due to the series of errors during our meal. We declined the coffees and decided we would stay for a drinks, after we finished our food. However, although staff were standing around, speaking to one another, no one came to the table to ask if we would like more drinks. As a result, we decided to leave. When we received our bill, we were charged £42 service charge. I queried this and explained to a member of staff that the service we had received was poor. She didn’t argue with me, nor did she apologise. Therefore we decided not to pay the service charge
Lovely atmosphere, great food, great service and very nicely priced!
Service slow, but very friendly and helpful, good with allergies, toilets really dirty, advised they needed cleaning.
Great location, easy to book. Good vegetarian menu.
Enjoyed a fabulous three course meal with cocktails. The service throughout was excellent.
Food was outstanding and the staff were very friendly and welcoming
Food very good. Initial service slow, took a while to get a drink & order but from then on all good. Husband feels tables too close together.
Lovely place to go for lunch, warm friendly staff, wonderful service and tasty food.
Only slight criticism was that my burger was undercooked & I was not asked how I wanted it cooked. The Maitre D did take the whole meal off the bill without me asking for this so that was excellent service. The meal was lovely, just rare meat is not to my taste. I didn't ask for a replacement meal as I was so full up from the amazing starter! Would definitely visit again but would ask for a well done burger! The fish and chips my daughter chose were fantastic she said.
Brilliant service. Seated us early. Service was quick. Food was outstanding. Very reasonable prices!
Definitely book a table, great food and cocktails
Came here for a birthday brunch, exceeded expectations and was such good value for money - food and drinks for two with starters came out at £30pp! 100% will be returning
Great venue for a date night dinner. Food is good value for money.
Lovely restaurant and excellent food. Our waiter was new and although charming made some errors. All put right with a smile!
Good dinner. Quite near to most theatres which makes it a good choice for a pre theatre dinner.
Food was tepid, but pleasant enough in flavour. Our waiter was a friendly man, and the atmosphere was good.
Delicious food, truffle arancini balls, steak tartare, scallops and tarte tatin. All beautiful as usual.
My sister and I booked for champagne afternoon tea, after a day out shopping in London for her birthday.
The last place we had afternoon tea, was the Ritz, and I have to say the afternoon tea at the Ivy was definitely superior to the Ritz.
Lovely sandwiches, especially the truffle chicken brioche. Great little deserts, lovely scones and cream and to top it off they recognised my sister’s birthday by bringing out an extra mini cream cake with a chocolate happy birthday note and a candle . A lovely touch .
We did not feel rushed at all and they happily obliged when I asked for teapot top ups .
The waiter happily put the remaining cakes in a cake box for my sister to take home . ( the Ritz had refused to allow us to leave with any remaining cakes!)
For £30 PP, this was amazing value in comparison to other London afternoon tea, and we will definitely be returning.
Very nice meal but terrible service. The fact that groups of staff were standing chatting in clusters compounded the fact that it was so difficult to get served.
I would have asked to speak to the Manager but feared it would take so long that we would miss our train !
We picked the pre theatre menu, which was limited however the food we received was tasty and worth the money! However they will charge you for water; so maybe ask to tap water. Also they add a service charge onto your bill too! Our waitress hardly understood what we were saying and ordering. And took a very long time to wait for her attention to ask for the bill and the card machine.
Excellent restaurant in a good location. Service and food both of high quality. Not cheap but good value. Only criticism is in common with other ivy restaurants tables are packed too close together.
Tables too close together . Theatre menu tasteless.
Consistently good food, in a comfortable setting.
I have been to this restaurant a few times and it never disappoints. We were a party of 6 and were looked after really well by our waiter, Vladimir. Only negatives were that we were sat at the rear of the restaurant with very poor lighting and the lamb main meal was extremely fatty and had to be returned. However, this was done with minimum fuss and was deducted from our bill - excellent customer service, thank you. We will be back.
Really good vibes, great atmosphere and food was excellent.
Great pre theatre early supper at our favourite table✔️ Super service from all the team and food was delicious as always...looking forward to our next visit X
Fabulous as always it was a birthday treat and the food and staff were fantastic and made it a day to remember I will be back great value for money but very classy
Such a lovely ambience, tasteful set up and very well presented dishes.
Visited the Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden on Sunday evening. with three friends. We all enjoyed our food. The staff wer friendly yet professional. The service was quick and the atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming.
Best eggs benny in Covent garden! Great Sunday brunch
Great food and exceptional service. Will definitely be back. Had the eggs Benedict from the brunch menu and it was beautiful!
Husband’s birthday
Lovely delicious food
Lovely experience. Good menu and would definitely go back
A little too cosy downstairs but the service ,food and great location made it great experience
Fantastic meal the best of have had in a long time. Lovely staff very helpful and even added an extra 2 seats to our table for a couple of extras that met us in London.
Will be returning again very soon. Superb
Lovely brunch, exceptional service. Reasonable value for money
Lovely brunch and friendly service. Would happily go back.
Lovely food and great service.
Only one small piece of feedback was that we were moved from our table to the bar after our meal to enjoy a glass of bubbly. Not a major issue but unusual
Nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced food for London.
The food was superb and the restaurant was very well located. My steak was the closest I have got to recreating the best steak I have ever had which was in Dallas, Texas. My husband was delighted with the extensive vegetarian menu. The chocolate bombe was simply divine. The service was a little slow although the waiter was charming.
