The food was absolutely delicious, best meal I’ve had in a long time! Service was excellent and the restaurant has a great atmosphere, I particular like the soft lighting, a subtle touch perhaps but just it was just right and adds to the experience.
Food was amazing, drinks Were great.
Menu is full of choices you can’t decide between because they sound so good
hundred percent recommend
I dinned at this branch twice recently two very different experiences. The first time was outside much more pleasant quieter and more space with lovely waiters second time indoors nice ambiance but sadly experience blighted by noisy woman talking on the next table to the extent I had to ask them to tone it down!
Greeted by lovely front desk staff both times Although a bit of waiting around the first time
Food was very nicely presented with some imaginative starters but the mains were basically pub food at restaurant prices.
Consistently excellent. This is my favourite of all of The Ivy restaurants. Sitting outside in Covent Garden eating good food & great wine with friends last Friday was so enjoyable. Temperature taken on arrival & social distancing observed. We almost forgot how awful the last 5 months have been.
Went there to try as they had the Eat out Help out offer.
We had 4 meals from the (2) set menu and (2) offer menu.
There was nothing outstanding from the set menu except for the sticky toffee pudding which everybody tried and loved. The potion size was not bad. Overall good value for money even if there was no offer but definitely better with.
The offer menu was higher in price but the dishes offered are definitely worth it. The starters (tuna cerviche & duck salad) was amazing to look at and taste. The main of lobster linguine actually has big chunks of lobsters in it so again definitely worth it.
Service was not bad, but did have funny looks from them when we went about taking pics of us at our table and of the food. My friend is an Instagrammer...she loves posting pics of places she goes and eats. I’m used to it by now and I can understand why we get funny looks.
Overall excellent value for money for the prices we paid when it’s on offer and for the ambience and service.
Have to say though I had better tasting foods elsewhere outside London for the same price we paid that day. We’re foodies so was expecting taste better as it’s a little more classier restaurant than our usual haunts.
Lovely food, lovely presentation but very slow service.
Lovely lunch on a super hot day. Restaurant felt very clean and near normal service in these COVID times
A very safe ,& pleasant place to eat during this Covid situation. Ivy Grill has lost none of its vibrancy, but is taking great care to ensure safe dining, temperature check & hand sanitiser before you are seated. Staff friendly, efficient, professional but also relaxed. The service was excellent & we were not rushed. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Most enjoyable lunch, efficient and polite service and well cooked and prepared food
Great place to eat out with fantastic service and great drinks.
We had the 3 course set menu, thinking dishes would be smaller but they were not. Food was excellent, atmosphere too and our waiter was very attentive. Overall really great night.
Food and service was fantastic. Temperature checks and sanitizer on arrival. Only slight thing was we were pretty hot sitting at the table. Was during the heatwave, windows were open but still warm but overall a lovely evening.
Lots of flies flying around and the manager come across as patronising. Some dishes were nice, others mediocre.
Good food. Good service. Good atmosphere. Good value.
Great place for Lunch, great service and delicious food. Highly recommend
I would have scored less for value had I not had the opportunity to use the eat out for less scheme, the black cod was fantastic and the set menu with the sea bass was great quality. Would have been nice to have had a more substantial side with the code instead of ordering a side as extra. Service was great, the person looking after us was very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome
Food choice was excellent - great for all tastes. Service was efficient, but polite. Great value for money. Portions were more than adequate.
The service ruined the experience. The food was nice but the service was shockingly slow. Getting the food, clearing the plates getting drinks was all disappointing. We ordered drinks when we sat down the drinks took so
long starters come out before the drinks, and that’s a very long time considering it took over 35/40 mins for the starters. We could see the waiter kept forgetting about us and then realising we asked for service like a drink or the bill 10 mins ago. Even getting a card machine to pay the bill took over 30 mins to the point I had to get up and walk to a different waiter so we could pay and get out of there. Out of all the restaurant we visited in London this was the most expensive and by for the worst serviced.
Great mom-wed dining menu
I had the Crispy Duck Salad to start which was more Hard Crunchy than Crispy and was lacking in Duck.
For my main I had the Sea Bass which was of a good size, meaty, well cooked and very nice.
I also had a side of Truffle Parmesan Chips which were very disappointing as they tasted just like normal chips with a frugal sprinkle of Parmesan.
I also had a bottle of sparkling water which was very warm and I had to ask for ice.
Even though the restaurant was busy, the serving staff were pleasant and my food arrived within an acceptable time frame.
As I was working away from home I was looking forward to coming here for my evening meal, but I wasn’t wowed by the experience and probably won’t eat here again.
We had an excellent meal, in lovely surroundings with excellent service. Highly recommend.
Lovely food, excellent service and paced exactly right.
Table location was a little disappointing.
Amazing food. Caters for all dietary requirements. Lovely view of Covent Garden.
The food was tasty and great value for money! The service was outstanding with very friendly waiters
Nice place with good food easy amd approachable stuff, 👍🏻👍🏻
Excellent meal, service and gave me everything I requested
The table was ready on time , everything was superb
Great setting at Covent Garden, and excellent interior design. Good choice of food to suit most budgets, but you have to be careful of the extras, e.g. my steak was £25, but chips were £4 extra and the sauce a ridiculous £3 extra.
Food quality was excellent. Service good, waiters very attentive and polite.
Superb evening at the Ivy! Visited London from Birmingham for a few days and our meal at the Ivy will definitely be our most talked about evening out during our stay. Food divine and the salted caramel espresso martini is by far the best I’ve experienced. We will definitely return soon
All staff were friendly and quick to respond to all customers. We ate outside so can't comment on the restaurant atmosphere but the new additional seating had the lovely vibe of the rest of Covent Garden.
Excellent experience this is my 3rd visit.........
The receptionist seemed flustered on every. My temperature measured too high and when I explained it’s likely because I was pregnant she told me she “didn’t know”, but also had no empathy for the situation of pregnant women she was inexperienced in, or willing to find out more from her manager.
Excellent choice on the menu for pescatarians and vegetarians. Perfectly cooked salmon and extremely fresh ingredients. On one of the hottest days of the year, the air conditioning was appreciated as was the perfectly chilled Italian Rose.
Brilliant and attentive service with a smile.
We were asked to leave our table after being there only an hour... the meal felt rushed.
Not what you expect when you are paying for the Ivy...
Service was really good, the food was excellent with the amazing atmosphere the restaurant offfers
My husband and I had a lovely date night at Ivy Market Grill, maybe even more than our wonderful first visit which was pre-Covid-19. I'm very happy that we were seated at a patio as I requested at the time of reservation this time. It was so perfect on a warm summer evening. Servers were absolutely fantastic. They were friendly and super attentive. We also enjoyed food and wine. I had scallop for appetizer and lobster linguine for main. Both were tasty. My husband loved his pea soup and chargrilled halloumi. Those two dishes looked incredible. It's a fun place. I'm happy to go back anytime.
Perfect location in the heart of Covent Garden. Excellent food and service.
Our first night back up Covent Garden since February! We had the most wonderful evening on Friday (7th Aug). The food was so lovely, the wine delicious and the staff were so very attentive. We can’t wait to get back to the Ivy Brasserie!!
The Ivy Grill is an oasis of cool and calm in Covent Garden. The staff are lovely and gave us a fantastic table and the food, as ever, was absolutely delicious.
Lovely location, nice food, the only thing which wasn’t great is service. Always took a while to get someone’s attention.
