Afternoon tea at the Ivy is fabulous. I am a serious fan of afternoon tea and think the Ivy offers the most delicious and the best value for money. Was a pleasure to visit on our London visit. The Ivy at Spinningfields in my home city of Manchester is equally as good.
This was our 30th anniversary and it could not have gone better. The food was lovely and the service impeccable
We will come again
Having dined at both this restaurant and the West Street one I prefer the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff here.
Food was well presented and delicious.
We dressed up for the occasion and it was a bit disappointing to see some people wearing trainers and sportswear.
Our first visit to the Ivy and we were very impressed. The welcome and the service throughout the meal was of a high standard. The food was well presented and good quality. I will definitely be back and would recommend to friends and family.
Excellent sevice; waiters were very courteous and attentive. Afternoon tea was delicious and good pricing
Excellent all-round. Highly recommend
The place itself is very well appointed. The staff are friendly and helpful. The noise level was more that of a very crowded pub. Unfortunately we were sat next to a table of very loud drunken men with foul mouths. The poor waitresses were subject to drunken old men flirting, and we couldn't hear ourselves speak. If you want a lovely steak, and don't mind the noise of a busy pub I would recommend, if you prefer more of a relaxed atmosphere then I wouldn't.
First time visitors, service excellent, menu very good, thoroughly enjoyed our 3 delay courses. Will definitely go back.
No a great start.
We arrived 45 minutes early with a small child and an elderly person being part of our party.
Having been walking around all day and rather tired we were hoping to get some drinks before being seated at our table.
However the staff very bluntly sent us away and were not at all accommodating or friendly let alone welcoming.
Even though we could see spare tables available at the time.
Afternoon tea was enjoyed however we had rather burnt scones which they had tryed to cover up by putting sugar all over them... unfortunately you could still taste the burnt bits.
The waitress who served us was pleasant.
bad seats , no room to move or eat and felt rushed
A really nice meal with a very attentive waiter and we didn't feel rushed in the slightest. Very enjoyable and would recommend. Will definitely be visiting again.
Always the best place to celebrate with friends, great menu, sumptuous wine list and unique ambience. Love it! PS Book in advance it’s always busy
Excellent meal out, it was an event.
Celebrating both our Birthdays... Great location, beautiful restaurant, lovely food and staff. Thank you
Lovely buzzy atmosphere for an early lunch before a visit to the Ballet... great service, good food & reasonable value for money! Will definitely recommend & definitely go again!
Great food great service, we arrived early and was greeted with a pleasant smile and service to match.
Lovely place for breakfast, food was great, service was very good would definitely recommend will be back again.
Unfortunately there were tables of children all around our table. The hostess must ensure that families are sat together in a section of the restaurant, not by a table of 2. Totally ruined a usually nice experience.
Friendly good service, the see bass was very good, the lamb a liitle salty
Lovely food and sensible prices and our waiter was excellent, attentive and very courteous. We were not rushed out and had a bottle of house rose which was good value and tasted great.
We are regulars at the ivy market grill. The food is great and the service really attentive, but not so pressuring as to be uncomfortable. We were going to be 3 but our 3rd couldn’t come. The table for 3 was actually difficult to hear across. We were happy to move to free up the table and enjoyed sitting at the banquette table. We were able to have our conversation without hearing our neighbours. The espresso martinis are great
It was a great evening. We enjoyed the food.
My only negative was the chips were cold and the herb salad, presentation wasn’t very appetising. The rest was fantastic
A nice enough meal but expensive for what we had. Service was very good.
Walked right into a very busy restaurant so glad I pre-booked with opentabke.co.uk as my table was ready and waiting. Staff were attentive and food was excellent as per usual 10/10
Post matinee dinner. We had booked and the show overran but I called and they kept the table. Service was typical of the Ivy; the staff are well trained and know who orders what. It’s what sets the group apart from other chains. The food was excellent. I thoroughly recommend the heritage tomato and feta salad followed by the Ivy’s own Shepherds Pie - both delish 😋
Just very attentive staff and lovely food
Great location and food is very good duck salad was good as was the crab salad not overly impressed with the prawn and monk fish curry
Enjoyed our lunch at the Ivy Market Grill. Many thanks to the Manager who sorted out a question over the bill for us very kindly. Great ambiance and tasty food.
Good food, plenty of options on the menu to suit all tastes.
Good service, very attentive without hanging about like a helicopter.
Ideal location for theatres close by.
My second visit, it wont be my last
We had a very good lunch, food good and service. We were not rushed. Would go again.
My father’s 80th birthday
Tables are a bit too close together but service very good. Would be even better if you changed your menus more often or had other specials of the day
Shepherds pie was amazing. The fish and chips were wonderful too.
Lovely anniversary/pre-theatre meal! Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Nice little touch at the end of our meal with a complimentary anniversary treat of raspberry tart. Will definitely visit again when in London
We were warmly received at Reception and quickly shown to our table. Menus were handed out and within a few minutes our charming waiter took our drinks order and pointed out the Specials menu on a discrete card on the table. Due to trains disruption two of our number arrived late and they were quickly seated and drinks orders taken.
The menu was extensve with sufficient choice to suit most tastes.
All of the starters were delicious with the mozzarella being the outstanding ingredient.
On the mains, whilst my lemon sole special was just perfect, the star of the show was undoubtedly the Rib-Eye steak. My friend has not stopped talking about it!
We only had one dessert which was the chocolate bombe. My wife wants to return to the restauarnt, just so she can sample that dessert, it was so good!!
The prices were a little on the high side, especially for the wine, but this is central London at one of the top tourist attractions, so I should of expected it I suppose. The quality of all the food and drink was very high.
The service was outstanding; not too much but always ready to assist when called upon. Just right.
I love this restaurant - lovely, lovely service. Nice atmosphere.
We ate from the pre theatre menu which was very good value for central London. The Market Grill has a good ambience and the service is very professional. The range of the menu is wide enough to provide something for everyone if meeting up with a group of friends.
The Covent Garden location is much better than all the rest - mainly because the staff provide service throughout and do not rush you, unlike the Ivy in Chelsea. Always a very good experience.
It’s a shame dining menu for 8+
When cooking for other guests in total of 100 maybe
