Diabolically bad. A friend was visiting London so we ended up here. Place is designed to rip off tourists that will never return so treatment of clients is shameful. The original Ivy burger was a work of art. This embarrassing facsimile of an Ivy admits that “its supplier supplies beef that must be cooked to well done”. Really makes one wonder about the steak tartar. A truly dire experience.
Super meal, great service. Would definitely recommend and go again when we can.
It’s the most hectic of all the Ivy’s — and due to being a tad overwhelmed at weekends, can be a little less welcoming than the others. Food is still terrific, service tries hard but can be over stretched. Great location in the corner of the market though and still flying above the immediate local competition.
Nice place but I called in advance to say we are both coeliac gluten intolerant and my friend is also dairy free, they assured us they had options. However when deciding what to eat I found it very surprising that they didn’t have an allergen book to give us so we could make our own decisions. There was a lot of back and forth to the kitchen to check and took about half an hour to order. Disappointing they weren’t organised considering the venue, and upmarket dining. Cream tea was very good.
Good food in a really buzzy atmosphere. Only complaint would be tables are a bit close. Really enjoyed it though
Efficient service, we weren't kept waiting nor made to rush. Food was excellent and the waiters were able to answer any questions about the menu. Nice atmosphere and the decor is classy. Would recommend, in fact I'm coming back in a few weeks!
Perfect thank you, the cocktails we had tasted amazing!
Brilliant as always
We went to have breakfast on a Saturday and everything was great! Eggs Royale were delicious. Coffee and tea were also lovely.
Food was good above average but definitely missing the wow factor
Superb night - surprise for my wife's 60th Birthday. She had no idea that I had booked the Ivy Grill. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and ambience. Would definitely return
Great ambience, lovely food and friendly attentive service. Would definitely go again.
Lovely place, nice atmosphere with good food. Slow service was a bit frustrating as we had to wait a while between courses.
Food very nice surroundings nice very busy pre theatre but worth a visit
Absolutely loved our meal here on Friday evening. The ambience of the restaurant was the best of the Ivy's that we have visited and we will definitely be back.
A lovely evening out with great ambiance and delicious food.
The wines were excellent and the service very charming. The only thing that bothered me slightly is the bad WiFi Connection.
We had a lovely brunch - staff very welcoming on arrival and the food was perfect. One dish arrived with fried egg instead of scrambled but our server had this correct really swiftly with no hassle.
Two of us requested a mix of cooked-breakfast ingredients rather than the full English and this was no trouble at all.
Table service was perfect, staff very attentive.
The only negative I wish to express is that the toilets were in need of some attention. Unpleasant smells and dirty toilet seat.
Extremely busy, we were in a corner booth and it took ages for a waiter to come over. Food was average and service not great
Fabulous food and service as always ,
The service was good but the food was disappointing. I ordered lamb which was stringy. When I told the waiter he didn't comment or offer me anything different.i have been to about 5 IVY's around the country and they were all good but this was not.
Fabulous service and a beautiful location! Fully recommend for a meal before the theatre!
Lovely food in a wonderful atmosphere. Our second visit and we will definitely return x
The restaurant was lovely but very cramped, could benefit from a few less tables so people (including staff) can move around freely.
Great food, fantastic atmosphere, welcoming non intrusive staff. Been around 8 times, never disappoints.
Great service, great table, great ambience and yummy food!
Fantastic birthday meal for my Father. 10 year old daughter also ca eyes for very well too!
Day old mashed avocado served with eggs made breakfast inedible. A place to avoid.
Great all round , have a very lovely evening. Would definitely recommend.
Fabulous evening . The staff are excellent : professional efficient and also friendly
Food was great. Nice table and staff very friendly and attentive. Would return.
I took a friend for his birthday lunch - and the Ivy Market Grill was a great choice. I have been a number of times before, but on Wednesday the team got everything spot on. Service, food, ambience - everything was perfect. I had the beautifully crispy warm duck salad, followed my the special Chicken Milanese - which was served with the most delicious tomato salad. And to finish, the frozen berries with warm white chocolate sauce. All of the food was of tip-top quality, beautifully prepared and full of flavour. I did compliment the staff as I left, and as the restaurant is only 3 minutes from my home, will most certainly return very soon. Well done everyone the Ivy Market Grill - spot on.
Busy lunchtime as you would expect. Even so the service was good and the food excellent.
On a horrible day weather-wise, it was a cosy ambience, if a bit noisy, and shepherd’s pie and a glass of red was just what I needed. Have been before and will definitely go again.
Good place for a business lunch. Great service good food.
I have lost count the number of times we have dined here, its just so convenient. The food is always of the same standard which is good, but I still think the background music is a little loud & needs to be adjusted. On this occasion I have to say the service we received was outstanding, our waitress who unfortunately for us went off duty before we settled our bill so we didn't get her name & would have liked to have thanked her personally for taking such good care of us.
A good friend had taken me for dinner at the Ivy Market Grill Covent Garden and it was a delight to be able to take my son and his girlfriend earlier this week - lovely food, nice ambience, great location.
Lovely welcoming service, but slightly disappointing food. Not bad, but not special either.
Ambience fabulous and also super attentive staff
Had a tremendous 3 course dinner off the a la carte menu. The food really was excellent, as was the service. Service was also very swift meaning we had no awkward rush before the theatre. Would certainly recommend as mid (to high depending on what you have) price range option for the area. Actually couldn't really fault it, does exactly what I think it aims to.
Have eaten here many times however previous visit and this visit not so good. My daughter had minute steak which was very tough, she left over half of the portion. I had fish & chips one of the pieces nice the other a very thin piece of fish smothered in over cooked batter, which I didn’t eat.
We shared a starter, had 3 soft drinks and a coffee. Bill was £65. Fairly expensive lunch which unfortunately we didn’t enjoy.
