Service was excellent. Food was good. Table not great as we were placed by door that opened onto outdoor eating space so quite chilly. Would go back.
Amazing attentive service and great quality food. Worth every penny.
Wow. The food is great. The ambience is perfect
Booked a table prior to going Nd walked in and was shown straight to the table. The restaurant was very busy but we didn’t feel rushed at all. The service was excellent, very efficient and professional waiters. The food was served quite promptly but again, we were never hurried at all. The food was amazing, highly recommended but also book your table in advance to avoid disappointment.
Fabulous food and excellent service. The cocktails were amazing
Good for Double dates!
Everytime the door opened a cold wind swept through a whole run of tables... would not have been hard to have an entrance that protected against that. Staff just about coped with the number of customers. The Ivy brand is being diluted.
Very good food here - hearty and wholesome. Drinks are also great. Service is fantastic. A safe bet, but a very good one at that.
Waiter not interested once he knew we only wanted main meal . Didn't give us chance to look at drinks menu just recommend a gin that was expensive without telling us the cost and then gave us a bottle of warm tap water and had the cheek to charge us for this and then a service charge !!! We wouldn't of minded about cost but fore warned is forearmed !!! Oh and the food was cold the Ivy experience very disappointing !!! Bet this doesn't get printed !!!
We had lunch on a very busy Friday and we had pre booked. Service was excellent very attentive and prompt. Cannot recommend this place. Slightly pricey for a every day venue but lots of options to eat.
Great location and food well cooked and good portions
Nice food and ambience. Good cocktails and dessert. Maybe burger a bit overdone
Excellent service! Good food. Recomend this place.
Great service fantastic staff backed up by the quality of the menus and food
My father I came here as he was visiting me from another country.
The food was absolutely amazing. We had pumpkin soup and duck liver parfait and then pork and venison. We drank NZ white wine and French Prosecco.
Will definitely be returning.
Great venue relaxed environment
Great venue and lovely staff. I have visited many times. disappointed at some of the food. Prawns and calamari very dry and flavourless. The batter a little soggy on the fish and chips. All other food amazing. Chicken with Moroccan sauce excellent as were the green beans with almonds
We went for supper after the ballet matinee performance. It was my friends birthday and I had indicated this when booking. Despite being very busy the waitress did not forget to bring a 'birthday' cake which my friend very much enjoyed. A wonderful supper to round off a splendid day out
Unfortunately we arrived a bit late as our taxi driver dropped us at the wrong restaurant, therefore we didn't have much time to eat our meal as we were going to the theatre so only had our main course.I had mushroom rissoto which was very tasty but despite our server doing his best to rush it through we didn't have time for dessert.I would like to return when I have more time to enjoy my meal.
Pre theatre menu and house wine were really good value. Really glad I booked and got a table. Thanks.
Previous visits were excellent. However this visit was spoiled by very poor attitude from our waiter Fabio who appeared very unfriendly and arrogant, clearing plates without first asking and clearing two tables simultaneously. We were sitting at the back of the restaurant and should we visit again will definitely request a table at the front.
A sensational evening! Food and service were truly excellent!
The efficiency of the staff was excellent. The food was tasty and well presented and not expensive. It was a very nice treat to our London outing.
We were seated by the door to the outside diners - every time the door opened, we were cold ie every 2 or 3 minutes. The starter and the sole meunière were excellent.
Really reliable, fun reasonably priced option. Food is good enough and service is excellent.
A relaxed environment with great service & food. Will definitely visit again!
Superb lunch with lively atmosphere and attentive service. Lobster risotto starter just amazing!
Next time I would put a request to not have the tables by the bar .as they are too small and your are constantly knock as food orders come out
I had a table booked for a business lunch. When we arrived (on time) there was no table booking and were left waiting for 30 minutes at the bar - not much use when time is restricted in a working day. Staff totally disinterested and dismissive.
Really disappointed that the restaurant didn’t acknowledge my son’s birthday. It wasn’t busy and usually they give you a small cake with a candle in. I had put this in the notes.
One of the best restaurants in Covent Garden. Near all the good shops and so near to Royal Opera House.
The staff are always so efficient and friendly
Very warm welcome, although it was busy the staff were attentive and helpful ! Service was swift after we ordered. The only reason I didn’t rate food as 5 stars is that one of our groups dishes (fish) was a little over cooked. The other meals were presented nicely and tasted delicious !
Lovely venue, kept a bit too dark for my taste.
Fantastic food, the blackened cod is always a success and the Xmas Nutcracker dessert is awesome, flavours, textures, exceptional!
Great all round. Thank you! Vladimir Was looking after us and was fab!
Food was good but sadly cold the only hot dish were the chips
The Cottage Pie has been a favorite of mine for years, however, fm this satellite of The Ivy it was tired and looked to have been under the heat lamps too long. Sad to say the standard and, to me, brand value of The Ivy is more like Jamie’s Italian that the friend I once treasured.
Try the original over these “Grill” venues.
It felt like a franchised outlet where the food was nothing more than average, but the prices were certainly not average, being simply too much, and far too many tables made it feel very overcrowded. Not good value.
We opted for the set menu. Portions were generous and very tasty. Service was excellent and we didn’t feel rushed. As there as so many places to eat it’s really good to find a good one, so thank you.
We visited the ivy for a birthday afternoon tea. The quality and choice of the selection was extremely good, and a very good value for money. Would recommend and happily return.
Always a nice place for an impromptu lunch
Arrived a little early... but receptionist said we could be seated but was taken to a small table positioned between two ever opening doors! We asked to be repositioned as it was noisy and very cold draughty and initially we were made to feel awkward for asking. We were so uncomfortable that we would have left but the manager eventually took control and found us another small table in a much better area of the restaurant. Waitress arrived and looked very harassed and tired but did her best to serve us. Food was ‘nice’ ... nothing special... great atmosphere though. Great spot in Covent Garden. I do think it was a very cold night and Xmas-time maybe not the best time to visit to get the best experience. Unfortunately I can only say it was average! My expectations were not met sadly!
