Fish & Chips
Traditional battered cod served with mashed peas, thick cut chips and tartare sauce
Melting chocolate bombe with milk foam, vanilla ice cream and honeycomb centre with hot salted caramel sauce
Food was good; thoroughly enjoyed both the asparagus starter and the Shepherd’s Pie. The outstanding element was the service by Alex; he was attentive and timely. It was a bit noisy, but it was a busy late afternoon.
Amazing from start to finish
The service impeccable food spot on
Not worth the money was given our afternoon tea way before getting our coffee , eventually coffee came but was cold , bread didn’t taste soft or fresh , way too busy and staff were running around
I did not like the Chips but my family did and one of my poached eggs was hard otherwise I would have marked 5/5
Our second visit, have been really happy with both!
Great experience - always a favourite place to visit for lunch or dinner when in London!
chips were cold… took a fair while to get drinks..,
not much hand sanitiser and no masks worn by staff..
The food was fine but not up to the usual standards I’ve had in other ivy branches, the restaurant is quite dark and we were seated right at the back which seemed cramped.
Great menu choice. Consistently great service and quality food.
We had a fabulous brunch watching the world pass by, great service, great food we will return
Book for breakfast in London on our last morning of a weekend trip, hadn’t appreciated that breakfast finishes earlier on the Sunday and just missed out however still a selection of brunch dishes with chips on the side. It was very busy, having visited both Edinburgh and Glasgow I didn’t feel the experience was as I had expected bit disappointing.
We came here after thoroughly enjoying a meal here back in 2019 and the food did not disappoint again
Unfortunately, the service (at times) was disappointing after we had drinks not served and all our mains had to be re-ordered as our original order which was taken down had 'gone missing'
Overall though the food was good and we had a good time
The food at this restaurant is good but not exceptional for the price point
The venue overlooking Covent Garden is fantastic - shame about the torrential downpour whilst at an outside table but everything possible had been done to keep us dry
Service was excellent
Booked for my boyfriends birthday and requested a pudding with candle at the end like I got last time for my birthday at the ivy Brighton. This did not happen. Our table was separated into two tables and people next to use were pretty much on top of us. They were not happy about it either. Really noisy and food was average. I wouldn’t visit again.
Service wasn’t as attentive as you would expect for such a highly regarded place. We’d barely had drinks served, before our starters came and our mains arrived at the same time. All in all a bit overrated from previous experiences I’ve had here.
This venue did not compare well with the Norwich Ivy restaurant
My daughter and I had a fantastic meal on Saturday evening. Food, service and general atmosphere were all as wonderful as we have grown to expect from The Ivy. It’s so reassuring going for a meal knowing that you’re not going to be disappointed. Loved it 😍
We were asked to come back 15 mins later than our reservation time because the table wasn’t ready and the bar was full, we overheard 2 tables complaining about how long they’d waited. It generally felt very disorganised so wasn’t the best welcome. The food came quickly and it was really good. I did expect more from the service, we had to get someone’s attention a few times for drinks, dessert menus and the bill. Overall an OK experience but the Ivy in Manchester is much better in comparison
Wasn't really impressed with this ivy over crowded. Service not great. Food ok
Food was delicious, great menu with lots of choice. For what you pay the service wasn’t to the standard expected as our table was very small for 6 people and the staff didn’t really help with making us comfortable. We were also rushed at the end even though we were under our 2 hour 15 minute slot.
Tables too cramped together and service a little slow
We were a party of 3. Beware if you are 3 you are likely to be parked on a table in the middle of a busy corridor we asked to move and were shown to a similar place at the back where it was very dark. The food wasn't great. A chicken salad. How easy is it to make that good or really good?
I had an Apperol spritz and the measure of Apperol was not generous and so it was quite tasteless.
Family of six birthday brunch, absolutely lovely! Staff were attentive, good served very quickly and ambience was amazing! We all had a great time, thank you!
Visited for mums birthday, was a great meal
The food was quite good but the service was over intrusive and even felt slight pushy. A little overpriced but enjoyed my meal there with friends regardless.
Booked for outside but we were seated inside downstairs! Very disappointing as it was not raining and sunny outside. We were told it was closed outside as rain was expected! But nearly all the tables outside were occupied enjoying the sunshine! Not good shame
Lovely lunch, great food although a shame some of the items shown on line wernt on the menu
First time here and was a lovely meal before a matinee performance at The Savoy.
Lovely venue great service food excellent would definitely recommend
Lovely meal. Attentive staff, delicious food, def recommend
Great location, the food was lovely and the service was efficient
Really enjoyed our meal here last night. Quality food which was all served fresh and hot. The staff were really helpful and very attentive. Will definitely be coming back
I don’t agree with service charge add to receipt In advance. It should be optional.
Slow bringing the food and not as tasty as expected
Food always great. Tables packed in too tightly, though.
A great place to eat
The steak was amazing and was a really enjoyable place to eat
Food and ambience were only good however I thought the service was only just fair. Rude waiter for our table. Another waiter did serve for our sweet menu and she was much more polite as was the staff member on our arrival.
Much better restaurants within easy walking distance, the name drags this one along I feel.
Great meal friendly staff with a great atmosphere
Another very good lunch at The Ivy - service and food excellent. The Birthday profiterole was a lovely surprise, thank you.
