Jurema Terrace at The Mandrake
Great service and food, will definitely come back!
Lovely 80th birthday brunch with my mum. Staff were attentive, food was delicious. Would definitely do this again!
I booked a table for 4 when I meant 5. The wonderful Italian lady at the front desk sorted me out, during a very very busy period. Food was great, wine was wonderful and great service.
Receptionist was very rude (seems like everyone was having an issue with her). Wouldn’t seat us without reservation and open table had a ton of availability so we were able to leave restaurant and came back in under 10 minutes which was silly
We booked last minute and were delighted to get a table. The Ivy was packed as it’s the lead up to Christmas. As usual the staff and food was on point - if you haven’t already try the zucchini friti- they are fabulous. Definitely a place to go if you want some great food in the Covent Garden area xx
Food fresh, tasty and definitely worth going again. Welcome was warm. Waiter good. Only negative -slightly too dark to see menu properly - minor problem.
Took 20 mins to take our drink order, it was a business lunch and we were asked to leave the table at 5pm despite not being served our food until 4.10! Was moved outside where it was freezing and raining.
So squashed in we had to disturb 3 tables to leave our own table.
Food very nice, drinks very expensive.
Great place for team lunch or dinner, wide menu option, great ambience and decor.
I would recommend to a friend overall as food was good and service was good and apologetic but I did find it very irritating that we were asked to leave our table after 1 hour and 30mins - this is new record !
Most places allow you 2 hours for a sitting but they were very busy and needed our table to join 3 tables together for a big group. We did not want to sit at the bar, so in the end we moved to another table until we had finished our cups of tea. I'm not sure what would have happened if we had ordered dessert.
Went here for my sisters surprise birthday, have a lovely afternoon food was good prices, the own down fall was the service waited 25 mins before our order of drinks was taken, when are drinks arrived we then expected our choices of food to be taken. We then had to call another waiter over to take our choice of food. Food came super quick. Overall was a lovely experience but super noisy.
Food was ordinary, expensive for what it was and Luke warm
Lovely food, friendly and helpful staff as always. I always enjoy my visits to this iconic restaurant.
The food was excellent service was a bit slow as drinks were ordered and were slow in coming ,the fish and chips we had,and the shepherds pie were good and hot ,and we thoroughly enjoyed
Booking a table was easy. The table was good and well-positioned so not in the direct flow of service. It seemd quieter than when I was last there. Reception at the door most welcoming and helpful. It was Sunday night and there had been a "rush" on so a couple of things were "off" the menu. No problem! Alernatives tasted really great, the fish was delicious and the homemade sourdough bread special. Attentive service.
Service was excellent. Food was good. Table not great as we were placed by door that opened onto outdoor eating space so quite chilly. Would go back.
Another fantastic meal at The Ivy!
We have dined here a number of times before & its always consistent as is the service.
Sometimes the food is very good but sometimes its not, but its in a great location & the staff make up for any inconsistencies in the quality of the food.
We had the most amazing experience. Food superb fantastic ambience and seating spacious
Amazing from start to finish. Service and food excellent.
Good range of choices on the menu, excellently cooked supported by attentive but not overwhelming service. My only criticism (as with many British restaurants) is the exorbitant price one has to pay for a bottle of wine! It simply adds a degree of negativity to eating out!
Booked a table to dine pre- theatre for my daughter and I to celebrate her 18th birthday. We were delighted with the service, food and general atmosphere of the restaurant. Ending with a surprise complimentary birthday cake ( highlight the occasion in the open table booking!) the over all experience was excellent. Will definitely be returning soon.
Amazing attentive service and great quality food. Worth every penny.
Excellent food and service.
The staff were so attentive and the flavour of the food was amazing
Wow. The food is great. The ambience is perfect
We all ordered the Fish and Chips but unfortunately we found the batter to be greasy, the chips were dry and the mushy peas didn't have much taste.
Booked a table prior to going Nd walked in and was shown straight to the table. The restaurant was very busy but we didn’t feel rushed at all. The service was excellent, very efficient and professional waiters. The food was served quite promptly but again, we were never hurried at all. The food was amazing, highly recommended but also book your table in advance to avoid disappointment.
Fabulous food and excellent service. The cocktails were amazing
Good for Double dates!
Everytime the door opened a cold wind swept through a whole run of tables... would not have been hard to have an entrance that protected against that. Staff just about coped with the number of customers. The Ivy brand is being diluted.
Very good food here - hearty and wholesome. Drinks are also great. Service is fantastic. A safe bet, but a very good one at that.
We where a party of four having dinner before going to a show, we had the pre theatre menu which was very good. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly . Would definitely recommend .
Waiter not interested once he knew we only wanted main meal . Didn't give us chance to look at drinks menu just recommend a gin that was expensive without telling us the cost and then gave us a bottle of warm tap water and had the cheek to charge us for this and then a service charge !!! We wouldn't of minded about cost but fore warned is forearmed !!! Oh and the food was cold the Ivy experience very disappointing !!! Bet this doesn't get printed !!!
Due to the close proximity of the tables, it almost feels like you are dining with other people, which normally would be fine but myself and my friend were seated right next to a couple who were having a very heated discussion throughout the entire duration of our meal. The atmosphere was awful. It left us feeling embarrassed and awkward and very upset. Such a shame. There were absolutely no other tables available to move to either as it was so busy. It really spoilt our meal. Food was lovely and service was great and attentive but such a shame it was spoilt by the couple next to us.
great food and service . Great value for money, definitely recommend
We had lunch on a very busy Friday and we had pre booked. Service was excellent very attentive and prompt. Cannot recommend this place. Slightly pricey for a every day venue but lots of options to eat.
Great location and food well cooked and good portions
We visit the Ivy frequently. On this occasion, it was my birthday. We met friends who we have not seen for 30 years. Naturally, we were chatting and having a catch up. I booked the table for 3 hours. The waiter was arrogant and surly. He would not let us have our wine in an ice bucket next to our table. (We bought six bottle, all told.) We insisted that we had it next to our table, and a manager helped us with that. The same waiter told us very aggressively that if we didn’t order soon, we would have to vacate our table. I told him That I had booked our table for 3 hours. He virtually told me he didn’t believe me and said he would check. He did not return.
We will think twice before booking this particular restaurant again. It made what should have been a happy gathering, very fraught.
Nice food and ambience. Good cocktails and dessert. Maybe burger a bit overdone
Excellent service! Good food. Recomend this place.
Great service fantastic staff backed up by the quality of the menus and food
My father I came here as he was visiting me from another country.
The food was absolutely amazing. We had pumpkin soup and duck liver parfait and then pork and venison. We drank NZ white wine and French Prosecco.
Will definitely be returning.
