The food and service are great but they didn’t accept an Open Table dining cheque, although according to open table all restaurants participating should accept them.
It was a lovely meal in a great setting. Our waiter was very attentive and The ivy Mark Grill provides the perfect place for a bite to eat pre theatre !
Excellent lunch on Saturday. Beautiful setting with lovely choice of food for 4 of us inc two 10 year old children. Highly recommend it.
Friendly staff, wonderful food, good choice on menu, good value and atmosphere. Who wouldn’t want to visit the Ivy Market Grill.
Everything was very enjoyable, good food with the right amount of service
Really excellent food and a fantastic waiter we had a wonderful evening our only observation is that it is very noisy, not the music just the other diners particularly a group of men on the next table. But that is not the fault of The Ivy, the men were old enough to know better!!!
Amazing food, great atmosphere and incredibly attentive staff! Would 100% recommend and will be dining again
Excellent food, great buzz, pleasant ambience and very attentive staff.
We were celebrating a nurses reunion, 48 years, Brilliant venue, lovely ambience.
Superb pink salmon and spinach with pine nuts so yummy !
Could eat the zucchini frites all day!
My fire t's loved it,a big thank you to all the staff for add g to a very special day.
Lovely staff at reception. Beautiful black lady greeted us. Nothing too much trouble
Good food in a great location but be prepared for small mice running around the Terrace if you’re sitting outside! Probably unavoidable in Covent Garden, I guess.
Yet another lovely lunch at Ivy Market Grill - wonderful service, great food, lovely atmosphere and perfect place to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday - they even provided a cake and candle! Can highly recommend and will definitely be returning!
Thanks so much.
This was the second family lunch we have had at The Ivy Market Grill in the space of a fortnight. On both occasions the food was good an the service excellent. Only downside was the noise level that for myself - who is deaf - made conversation difficult even with a hearing aid.
Poor table by the entrance to the outside, so lots of door slamming and the occasional smack in the back of the head.
Got rushed out well before the end of our 2 hour slot. Table booked for 6.30 and the started to hassle at 8.05!
My experience was okay but I expected a lot more, the tables were so close together I could hear every word of the next tables conversations, the service was good but we were still eating our starters when the mains arrived so that made us feel rushed, and the food was okay but the mushroom sauce in the roast chicken was very water and didn't have much flavour.
We were a party of four and everyone thought the food was excellent food. Lively setting with a good vibe even though we dined early. Service was great. Would definitely go back.
Good location close by Covent Garden. Nice decor and attentive service
A great venue to celebrate my friend's birthday. They even provided a small cake. The best service I've had in a London restaurant for many a year.
We only had an hour to savour some delicious dishes and stunning wines. We sat outside and loved every second! The food was sublime and the service, super fast.
Food was first class, taste was amazing and so well presented, service was first class staff were very attentive and efficient at there job.
Good buzz, even on a Monday night, great food always really good, with the unmistakably high level of service typical of Ivy Market grill. Excellent value on the Portuguese wine from Porto. My only tip, book early.
We had a lovely friend reunion at the Ivy. The service was friendly and professional. The food was ok although not outstanding but the overall experience was good and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Really nice food, good atmosphere, really good service
Straightforward menand wu but very tasty.Lovely setting with friendly and efficient service.Very good value for central London ;will return.
excellent venue for Sunday Brunch / lunch, nice atmosphere and attentive staff who were happy to move us from the a table we felt was in the corridor.
A brilliant start to our day in London, the Ivy dealt my wife's intolerance to dairy very well with no fuss.
The service was very nice and the waiters were very pleasant. The food is also great, I had Chicken Milanese which I would definitely recommend.
My partner had booked a table for my birthday, we arrived and we was sat outside in the terrace area which was fine as it was a lovely evening. They took our drinks order and dinner orders all together, we ordered the sour dough bread for started and it never turned up. The table a couple down from us had ordered after us but got their bread before we did. I even heard one of the waiters ask a colleague where our bread was, then 2 minutes later it arrived at our table. Our food was ready before we had even finished our starter to which the waiter was fussing over getting the starter plates out of the way to place our dinners on the table. We both ordered mashed potato and both of the portions were not hot, they were on the verge of cold. My partner asked if they could make the dishes again which they agreed to and told us it would be another 20 minute wait because they will be cooking it all from fresh. We were fine with waiting another 20 minutes for what we thought we be nice HOT food. The waiter placed the new re cooked food on our table, which my first reaction was to try the mash potato. The bowl the potato was in was warm but the potato it’s self was cold, it was colder then the first one we had. I’m very disappointed with the food we received on my birthday evening out, they had the chance to prove to us they could do a better job and it was even worse. We went to a couple of restaurants over the weekend in London and the service, food and attention to detail in the other restaurants was 5* and really showed us how awful this experience had been.
I would also like to add that the waiters and waitresses were constantly giggling around with each other and saying not very nice comments about their customers which I over heard.
Fantastic place, great food, service and atmosphere ...
You are allocated 2hours as a party of4 this was my wife's 65birthday on ordering our deserts was informed that as it would take twenty mins to cook we run out of time and had to vacate the table if the waiter did not have so many people to look after we would have had time this spoilt the entire evening this was my 4visit but would not return again
Food was presented lovely but i couldn't cut my broccoli with a very blunt knife.
My peach Bellini was very mediocre and our starters were forgotten. Until the waitress realised.
Had a Lovley afternoon with 2 Friends for Afternoon Tea with a glass or 2 of Bubbly! Service was Excellent!
Took my sister here on Saturday as a surprise - we both loved it and couldn't have asked for a lovelier lunch. Waiters were attentative without being overpowering and could not fault the good at all.
Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend
Great venue for atmosphere, food and service with very friendly staff. I keep returning!
Great food and service, nice surroundings and decent prices
Convenient location for a bite to eat very busy so probably best to book in advance
Friendly staff and a table in a good position
The food is varied with some firm favourites (e.g. the Shepherd's Pie which has a Wookey Hole cheesy mash - delicious) as well as dishes for the more adventurous. The service is always impeccable and there is a lovely ambience.
Service is excellent but the food is poor value and very average. I had a burger which was similar to a Big Mac, and you pay extra for cheese. There was no mayo, tomato, lettuce or relish in the burger. My chips were cold. My husband had an average quality fillet steak which came with no sides so we had to pay extra for chips and peas - super expensive meal! Desserts were OK and I had ice cream which was not a very generous portion.
All in all a very pricey meal in a noisy dining room. I usually love Ivy restaurants but will give this one a miss in the future.
Ordered deserts which took 25 mins to arrive and made us miss the start of the theatre
