Superb as always - lovely touch with the celebratory cake 😀
This was not the most enjoyable meal that I have had at this venue. It was exceptionally busy and noisy. I also have to say that my meal was not up to the standard expected having had many enjoyable meals in the past
A very good service from start to finish.
Lovely atmosphere, nice staff and delicious food
Beautiful food and setting. Service great, just all a little bit quick - in and out in an hour!
For a brand as established as the Ivy, the service really lets it down. I was taking my 11 year old daughter for her first experience of an evening out in London, the woman at the door couldn't even bring herself to give us eye contact. Told us to wait "over there". We did. I asked for a menu, no eye contact, continued talking to her colleague. It was the wrong menu. Asked for the pre-theatre menu, given, while talking to her colleague, no eye contact. We stood 'over there' for 10 minutes, at which point, I said we were going to wait at the bar. (This, btw, is where she should have suggested we wait.) We waited at the bar for 5-10 minutes. 5 staff, at least, behind it. Not one said hello or gave eye contact. I am a 47 year old woman. I've never sat at a bar, anywhere in the world, for that long, (we were the only customers at it) without someone offering eye contact. That was my first 20 minutes' experience at the Ivy. Tables were rammed in. Food was good. They all need a training session in customer service. Starting with the manager.
Excellent food and service and made the extra effort for a birthday! Lovely ambiance outside in their courtyard
The food was lovely and the staff were good however the service was slow.. we had been in the restaurant for 30mins before we were offered a drink and that was after my husband spoke to our waiter..
We arrived for pre theatre food. 5pm. Our table wasn’t ready for ten minutes.
When we ordered my salmon came raw in the middle and I sent it back with my vegetables - side orders.
My family finished there meals and mine came back and I ate it alone!
When we paid the bill I had a extra 2 charges on for the vegetables that got sent back.
We only had 2 courses and the overall experience took 2hours!
Food was luke warm. Had better. Paying for the name rather than the quality. Service rushed and indifferent.
Dessert was worth the visit. Would not rush back.
Excellent food quality and ambience but felt service was below expectations this evening.
Loved it, great service from all the staff.
Due to staff shortages, we were slightly delayed being seated at our table although my son had asked for no peppercorn on his minute steak but the steak was covered in peppercorn sauce so he had to scrape it off the steak. We didn't complain as he enjoyed the steak after removing the peppercorn sauce. It would have been nice to have had a wider selection of some of the other wines to choose from served by the glass instead of the usual Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio, eg, the white rioja to go with the rabbit & langostine pie, as it's sometimes a bit too much to have a bottle of wine between just two people in such a short space of time, ie, 1 hour 45 minutes. The atmosphere was very cosy & it is a beautiful setting with great music playing in the background. The staff are really polite, professional & welcoming & I will definitely book to eat there again.
Service very very slow, food came out cold and over cooked. Dessert was ordered with tea, the tea was given after dessert was finished.
Not great, had better experience in other ivy collection restaurants.
Bit of a problem with service in that (A) it was slow and (B) one of the meals was incorrect (wrong order brought to table - but we ate it anyway!)
Great location , very Disorganised and slow breakfast even though not overly busy. Food was good when it arrived, although interesting choice of crockery - flat plate and fork for yoghurt? Coffee underwhelming.
Everything about our visit was first class a thoroughly enjoyable evening and the waitress was the best I’ve had in years. Unfortunately we couldn’t thank her as she disappeared before we could say thank you
What a place in centre London not to be messed 👌 👏
The steak was horrible. I asked for medium rare and got half well done and half red. Also it was cold. £4.25 for a bottle of water. Main course came over straight after starter so we could finish the starter. Overall terrible experience.
We really enjoyed a lovely meal for my birthday.
Food was superb and the service from Natasha was excellent!
Good value for money in a very ambient setting.
The restaurant felt over crowded without the lovely ambiance of the other Ivy restaurants I have visited London Wimbledon Kings Rd Cobham They had staff problems so the bar was not in use which didn’t matter but the greetings team were slow to greet and explain
We said outside which was lovely and great for people watching. Patio heaters were on so temperature was nice. Service and food were great. Highly recommended the scallops and duck curry.
Lovely food and drinks but sadly the service was terrible unlike most other Ivy Collection restaurants we have been to which have been amazing so such a shame this one was so disappointing.
We had the wrong starter given to us, wine was not kept chilled, had to be asked to be topped up, had to ask the bar staff for our bill as our waiter was nowhere to be seen and couldn’t get the attention of any other waiter as too busy chatting amongst themselves.
Service was very slow and poor
Had to ask for our drinks as food came first
Had to ask for order to be taken after 30mins
Food nice though
Just a lovely evening altogether!
We arrived and got a table on the terrace and chose the pre-theatre menu which is great value for money. Service was excellent.
Fab meal with my Mum. So glad we booked!! Chocolate Bomb was amazing. Would love to go again some day.
Would definitely recommend The Ivy. Made to feel welcome, food and service excellent.
Delicious food and good service. A bit noisy, but fun atmosphere. A little pricey, but quality of food and drinks excellent. Recommended.
Food was fantastic, very friendly and helpful staff. Would not hesitate to book again, very satisfied. Great value for money.
Very busy indeed for the Sunday Brunch. You do need to book.
Bud food the ribeye was externally burnt
Daughters 50th birthday celebrations
Lovely lunch and wine. Great service, would recommend. Have already booked again.
Good food. Children are welcome with a special children’s menu.
How great and fun was the Ivy in days gone by. Now it's like a tourist trap, its food repetitive of its own original cuisine. The atmos is fun, the service too... but we wish it'd turn the page and come up with new entrancements.
Excellent food, great vegetarian menu, fast service. Lovely personalised touch for a special occasion too.
A great place for early lunch pre theatre. Quick and attentive service, good food at sensible prices.
This was very disappointing. Tables were so close together very surprising in the current climate. My poached eggs were over cooked as were my friends. Food lukewarm at best.
I regularly go to the Wimbledon Ivy Café which has always been amazing. Also visited Marlow, High St Kensington and Richmond which were all excellent.
The Ivy Market Grill has a long way to go to match any of the above. Will be very reluctant to visit again
Overall experience was fabulous, the added extra bday touch was a welcome surprise.
We took our friends here for breakfast as we've eaten here in the past, but it was very disappointing. Our breakfasts were merely tepid, not hot. There were items that were missing from the breakfast which were subsequently brought on a separate plate. Our toast was delivered to the table but no butter, which we eventually got served after asking. Our table had so many plates on because of the extra items arriving after, we barely had any room and when the toast was delivered, the waitress didn't take anything away, in fact we had to move everything around so that she could fit the racks on the table.
My friend was actually sick about 2 hours after eating this food which whilst we don't know why exactly, I'm wondering if it was because the food wasn't hot enough. Overall a very disappointing visit.
