Fish & Chips
Traditional battered cod served with mashed peas, thick cut chips and tartare sauce
Hand chopped beef striploin with Tabasco dressing, cornichon, shallot, parsley, egg yolk and toasted granary
Lovely food and drinks but sadly the service was terrible unlike most other Ivy Collection restaurants we have been to which have been amazing so such a shame this one was so disappointing.
We had the wrong starter given to us, wine was not kept chilled, had to be asked to be topped up, had to ask the bar staff for our bill as our waiter was nowhere to be seen and couldn’t get the attention of any other waiter as too busy chatting amongst themselves.
Service was very slow and poor
Had to ask for our drinks as food came first
Had to ask for order to be taken after 30mins
Food nice though
Just a lovely evening altogether!
We arrived and got a table on the terrace and chose the pre-theatre menu which is great value for money. Service was excellent.
Would definitely recommend The Ivy. Made to feel welcome, food and service excellent.
Food was fantastic, very friendly and helpful staff. Would not hesitate to book again, very satisfied. Great value for money.
Very busy indeed for the Sunday Brunch. You do need to book.
Bud food the ribeye was externally burnt
Daughters 50th birthday celebrations
Lovely lunch and wine. Great service, would recommend. Have already booked again.
Good food. Children are welcome with a special children’s menu.
How great and fun was the Ivy in days gone by. Now it's like a tourist trap, its food repetitive of its own original cuisine. The atmos is fun, the service too... but we wish it'd turn the page and come up with new entrancements.
Excellent food, great vegetarian menu, fast service. Lovely personalised touch for a special occasion too.
A great place for early lunch pre theatre. Quick and attentive service, good food at sensible prices.
This was very disappointing. Tables were so close together very surprising in the current climate. My poached eggs were over cooked as were my friends. Food lukewarm at best.
I regularly go to the Wimbledon Ivy Café which has always been amazing. Also visited Marlow, High St Kensington and Richmond which were all excellent.
The Ivy Market Grill has a long way to go to match any of the above. Will be very reluctant to visit again
Overall experience was fabulous, the added extra bday touch was a welcome surprise.
We took our friends here for breakfast as we've eaten here in the past, but it was very disappointing. Our breakfasts were merely tepid, not hot. There were items that were missing from the breakfast which were subsequently brought on a separate plate. Our toast was delivered to the table but no butter, which we eventually got served after asking. Our table had so many plates on because of the extra items arriving after, we barely had any room and when the toast was delivered, the waitress didn't take anything away, in fact we had to move everything around so that she could fit the racks on the table.
My friend was actually sick about 2 hours after eating this food which whilst we don't know why exactly, I'm wondering if it was because the food wasn't hot enough. Overall a very disappointing visit.
Food wasn’t as good as the ivy I’d been to in Edinburgh and service wasn’t great
The food was lovely. However there was a couple on the next table who were so drunk that the waiter refused to serve them alcohol. As a result the man was very aggressive and agitated and made us feel extremely uncomfortable which affected our experience. We are regular visitors to the ivy and feel that if you had a doorman it would have meant that this situation would not have arisen.
Very enjoyable overall. However we were disappointed our table was downstairs- definitely not the same atmosphere. Service was quite slow too.
We, a party of 3, had dinner at an outdoor table at the Ivy Market Grill. The area was covered, heated, and comfortable, though in colder weather it might be necessary to be prepared with warm clothes. The service was friendly and efficient without being over-atttentive, and the food was excellent. Overall a very good experience.
Very hard to fault this place. Not overly posh but still smart food is unreal. Definitely need to book in advance. Menu fantastic great food well made and taste delicious.
Perfect location, very busy so quite loud but that was fine for us. Food was ok, nothing outstanding. Service was great, lovely staff.
Ivy group generally offer an excellent dining experience. Not too formal with a relaxed but professional approach. Supported by great food but slightly overpriced drinks. Well worth a visit.
Delightfully efficient. Great welcome and staff. Excellent food and house wine. And got us through in good time for the Theatre
Excellent food and service. Cocktails were great
Fabulous food. Beautiful wine. Staff were great with the children who were made to feel welcome even though there weren’t many children in the restaurant.
This is the darkest and noisiest of the Ivy chain that I have visited. Tables too close together. All other branches wonderfully light airy and full of pictures.
Food as always was delicious, however we had a service issue. Our waiter asked us very quickly what we wanted . Came back took our wine order and food . Starters arrived- no wine.
Seemed our waiter had finished his shift and gone. Staff then recovered the problem as best they could .
Great food and service, once again . Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
Fabulous, Chocolate bomb was anazing
Sat outside which was actually OK with the heaters. Would like to try indoors. Occasionally the service was a bit off either bringing us someone else's order or taking the desert menu when we had said we hadn't decided.
Overall very nice afternoon with friend.
Afternoon tea looked lovely and not too much food.
Ambiance lovely and staff very professional and
pleasant. The Ivy Shepherds pie and Burger far too small of a portion, disappointing and left feeling hungry.
I have attended this venue may times. Yesterday was the first time I was disappointed. Our table was booked for 1400. When I made the reservation I clearly stated it was for afternoon tea. I am aware afternoon tea starts at 1500. My friend and I meet up every three months so we can talk for an hours quite easily. We ordered drinks and started our conversation. A waiter attended our table and laid it out for afternoon tea. We continued our conversation and a different waiter attended our table and invited us to sit at the bar which we declined. At this moment I noticed a waitress walk around the patio area with a Diet Coke and a glass of wine asking offer diners who had ordered the drinks. I had to get the notice of the waitress to confirm this was our order. We were then informed that we could not remain at the table for afternoon tea as we would have to leave at 1530 as the reservation was only valid 90 minutes. To enable us to remain at the table we cancelled the afternoon tea. I ordered the steak and my friend ordered the fish cake. We found this experience vey disappointing. We are (humble) front line health professionals who were having a day out in Central London before we returned to our duties next week. We are not angling for a refund or even any an apology. We simply want to express our disappointment with the service we received.
I had lunch at the Ivy Grill last Saturday. We had a really nice table and although it was busy it was easy to converse.
The waiting staff were excellent, regularly checking we were OK and keeping us advised as to the status of our meal.
The food was delicious and is one of the many reasons we will be returning in the near future.
Little chaotic when we arrived as very busy and some customers walking straight in despite the queue. Once seated service was good other than the main course being served before starters being cleared. Wine glasses were kept topped up without ever being empty and water replenished 👏
Food was all good.
Overall, great experience in a very busy restaurant
A really lovely experience with my mum before the theatre. Buzzing atmosphere. Better than I'd hoped. Thank you!
Absolutely wonderful, took my mum for her 80th birthday
Another great meal
My friend and I had a positive experience at The Ivy Grill

I will certainly be going again
