Very pleased with the whole experience will definitely be coming back
The food was really good, the service was excellent, i would like to thank you all the staff who looked after our party so well which, believe me, was not easy. My friend with allergies was really surprised, usually she ends up having a salad but here there were delicious choices for her. Thank you again.
The service was excellent - we asked for something off menu but they just could not have been more helpful and the food was superb! Definitely back for more!
Always a lovely experience at the Ivy Market Grill.
Good location, nice selection of food and a wine list whilst slightly high in price offers an excellent choice.
Having had a few good meals at this restaurant I was very disappointed with the food and service this week.
Lovely evening excellent service wonderful ambience stay very attentive this was our second visit and we would definitely return again
Very busy but they still give you very good service.
Had a lovely evening. Would definitely recommend! Wonderful food and service. Tables very packed in. Felt like I was sat with the table next to me.
Understaffed. Ordered filet medium rare. Came well done. No apologies. Had to ask numerous times for water. Ordered wine with dinner. Never showed up. Terrible service.
Lovely evening with friends at this restaurant. Ambiance excellent. Service excellent. Food excellent. Great value for money. I’ve been before and and be going again.
More compact than its Tower Bridge companion, but a great atmosphere. Service was excellent and the food, outstanding. Definitely a new favoured hunt for my friend and I.
Had the pre theatre menu excellent value for money and food lovely
Beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere and service . Delicious food and good range on menu . Plates and food could have been warmer but we did order starter later than we should have .
I found the final bill to be excessive, given the food was Ok but not outstanding. A couple of the waiters were happy to engage, particularly with our little one. Noticing that she was upset over not being given a childrens menu. He was quick to resolve the issue.
Multiple waiting staff seemed to serve our table. All very efficient but not attempting any personal interaction.
Not a value for money experience.
As always first class service and food. Book to avoid disappointment.
Another excellent visit to The Ivy Market Grill for Sunday Brunch
Food was very good and all staff very pleasant
Great place for a relaxed SUnday bricnh with friends
Great restaurant in a fantastic location, service was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for our waitress. The only issue I had was that I felt my table was in the way at times; got quite a few knocks throughout the meal from waitresses getting to other tables. Still a great place for a meal with friends. Highly recommend the Crispy Duck starter!
Great atmosphere & service . We made a mistake & ordered starters the portions were huge so we struggled to eat our main courses !
The waiter at our table was extremely charming and helpful. My friend ordered the whitebait which was excellent, myself a burger which was a disappointment couldn't finish very bland taste.
I will still try thè Ivy again because previous visits have been a wonderful experience
We had booked a table for 6pm but when we arrived our table wasn't available, we had to wait 10 minutes even though I told a number of staff we were going to the theatre so needed to dine quickly, this delay meant we rushed our meal which rather spoiled what would otherwise have been a nice meal.
I’ve been to many of the IVY chains and this was far by the worst of them. Packed to the point where you can hear every word the next table was saying and if you was a larger person the’d be no hope of squeezing into the table.
We also arrived slightly early and we were told that there was no option to have a drink at the bar, so had to wander around for 20 mins before our seats become available. Food orders where forgotten as where drinks orders.
Just a poor experienced which lets the chain down. I wouldn’t return of recommend.
I thought the staff were very friendly and professional.
The food came quickly and we all enjoyed our dishes.
Thanks for a fabulous evening.
We picked a bad time 17h45, so it was very busy, we and others were post theatre, whilst many were pre-theatre. A better time would have been after 19h00 when it became much less crowded. My only complaint was that we were seated by the door, and there were numerous people who were waiting for tables who were standing around close to our table, which was most unsatisfactory..
Portion size of shepherds pie was slightly small but lovely at the same time. We enjoyed the whole experience though
Ambience was really good, slight downside was the door kept ring left open which was blowing cold air into the restaurant. Our mains were brought out even though we hadn’t finished our starter. Apart from this service was good and food was excellent.
Arrived on time ad taken sstraight away to the table, coats take away and hung up. Waitress friendly and efficient, took drinks order and food order promptly. Excellent food and drinks very busy this Saturday afternoon buzzing with happy people out with friends and family. The Ivy is always a treat never a disappointment. Also spotlessly clean loos!.
Far too busy and very noisy. Food was as good as ever though. We normally go to the Ivy at Cobham which is better in all aspects. I suppose that I should have expected it to be busy, bearing in mind that it is in Covent Garden.
Staff were fantastic. Food excellent. Really good table. We will be back!
Great place for lunch, service and food always very good
Very understaffed, tea took over 25 minutes to arrive at table, half of breakfast items missing of plate, partners food was undercooked and inedible...terrible
This is my first time at the Covent Garden Ivy Market. I found the food very nice as were the cocktails and wine. We had an 8:15 reservation and were seated immediately. It took a bit long for servers to come by for our drinks order but once we had the initial order in, the rest went fine. In terms of ambiance, our table was in a crowded area - surrounded by tables and a a wait staff station. I was bumped numerous times by wait staff as it was a busy night. I'm a small person and our space was just too cramped.
Food excellent apart from steak being over seasoned Service could have been better. We were told glitch with system! Some staff were rather snooty - not good. Seemed an awful lot of staff in some areas and lacking in others.
Great atmosphere is a beautifully decorated restaurant - excellent service and great food. Not overpriced and quick service with the pre theater menu. Highly recommended.
Was satisfied with everything only gripe my mushroom sauce was cold as was my wife’s rice with the monkfish curry and had to be sent back ... had a few drinks at the bar first and the ivy special G & T was outstanding would go back after the pre theatre crowd moved on as it was rather busy and noisy
Lovely restaurant if you enjoy a buzz atmosphere!!! Didn't quite get the steak right first time round but made up for it with a free sweet. Service excellent will definitely return.
My cod was well cooked and nicely presented but my husbands steak was stringy and tough and could not eat it all. So disappointing as it was a special occasion.
The food was as usual a very good standard. The service was ok but I got the impression the server was not interested. There was no conversation and when we declined the desserts our bill was promptly brought to the table.
Disappointing. I asked for the prawn and monkfish curry but without the prawns. When it arrived there were only two small pieces of monkfish. I sent it back and said I was expecting more monkfish in lieu of the prawns and the dish was replaced satisfactorily.
Our table was booked from 7.30 to 9 pmand at 8.30 a member of staff reminded us we would have to give up our table at 9 and move to the bar, which we did. However nobody came to sit at our table and by then there were several empty tables, so it was unnecessary to ask us to move in the first place
