    The waiter who served us was so uninterested in our table. He barely came back to top our glasses unless we asked. We asked for simple things like tomato sauce he brought over one small dish to serve four of us we had to ask again and still only brought over one very disappointing service and we were seated in the basement. I booked the restaurant 6 weeks in advance. Very poor service extremely disappointed and completely spoiled our meal.

    The wait staff was perfect and friendly. The food - all types - was wonderful! -We made reservations online, and they were ready for us! - Great location too, at the Covent Square Market, just around the corner from the Royal Opera house, which is where we went afterwards. A perfect evening!

    Amazing! We went there to celebrate a graduation, the food was amazing, very good menu with something for everyone and beautifully made up plates. The staff was very friendly and enthusiastic, that really made the evening. Great aesthetic. A perfect place to celebrate something and to have a nice dinner :)

    We arrived at the restaurant to a very busy ambience and were kept waiting at the door for 5 minutes while it was checked whether our table was ready. When we sat down at our table we ordered a bottle of still mineral water which arrived but was a tepid room temperature, not chilled at all. We ordered the Sourdough Bread as a Nibble/Starter and literally 30 seconds after the bread arrived our main courses arrived too. We asked for the waiter to give us 5 minutes to finish the bread before our main course so he reluctantly obliged and took our main course back to the kitchen. My wife had ordered a glass of wine and this arrived in what can only be described as a short stemmed water glass, not a wine glass which the rest of the restaurant seemed to be using. Our main courses then arrived once we had finished the bread and it was clear that they had just been re-fired and not fresh, the burger bun was almost black and the burger was very dry. The fries were also ++ crispy, verging on burnt. We requested some ketchup to go with the fries and this never arrived. the bread and side plates were also not cleared even though it was clearly evident that they had been finished with. This all made the table very cramped indeed The table next to us was positioned on an angle so that the diners were facing directly at us and the diners at the table were blatantly staring and making personal comments aimed at us throughout the whole meal, making us feel very uncomfortable, why would you have a table directly facing another in such a confined space ?? This was not a meal or restaurant that we will be recommending to anyone anytime soon

    The restaurant was very hot and we asked could the air con be Increased and was Informed it was on max. It made it feel very uncomfortable to sit and enjoy . The staff were not as attentive has I have had from other The Ivy restaurants .

    Our welcome wasn’t great - the person just put the menus on the table and walked away. Didn’t like where they put us so asked to be moved outside first, but they were full and didn’t show us anywhere else, until I asked again to be moved to a different area. Not a great start. But servers were friendly and helpful, food was good, not amazing but plenty of it. Ambience lovely and so handy to our visit to the theatre.

    Our latest experience of dining at The Ivy Market Grill was not good. We have always looked forward so much to eating here but we're very disappointed on this occasion. The drinks were very expensive and my 18 year old was given a gin that nearly blew her head off it was so strong! I have always loved the Fish and chips here but and my daughter and I did not enjoy thos dish this time round. The fish was greasy and chips felt like they were microwaved. My husband and son had steak. My husband had fillet steak that he said was chewy and didn't taste like steak. To say we were disappointed is an understatement! We skipped dessert and got out quickly. Overall an expensive meal that we did not enjoy. We will not go back to the Ivy.

    Reservation was easy to make using Open Table. We were seated immediately and wait staff was very attentive and excellent. We are outside and the atmosphere was great.

    It was fine, but the two-seat tables are extremely small; there is hardly any room and so it detracted from the dining experience. Additionally, I had reserved an outside table but was not given one on arrival.

    Yesterday was the first time I'd been to the Ivy Market Grill since July 2020, when it was very quiet with tables very much spaced out. Yesterday I met an old friend for lunch and it was back to normal - the perfect place to go. The staff were helpful, friendly and attentive, but didn't hover and the food wonderful. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone.

    The service was incredibly slow (it took 20 min just to meet our waiter and another 15 min for our drinks to arrive). Numerous mistakes were made with the wrong drinks being delivered, forgetting food we ordered, and overall hard to get service. The food was good, but the noise level was high, not just with a lot of people but the music was so loud we struggled to hear each other. Overall, it was very disappointing after my past experience at the original Ivy some years ago. Based on this experience, I would not go again.

    To be asked to vacate our table after only 1 hour to accommodate a table of 7 was totally unexpected and very disappointing! This spoilt what up until then had been a very pleasant experience.

    The food was good but we were told we had to leave our table after 90 minutes as another booking was arriving. We had to finish our meal at the bar - and our table remained empty until we left the restaurant!

    Enjoyed dinner at the Ivy Market Grill, food was good. Service was a little all over the place, took some time to get our table ready despite arriving on time. They turned us away at 7:28 for a 7:30 table, and then we had to wait at the bar for a further 15 minutes before the table was ready. Overall good food, service could have been smoother.

    We were welcomed earlier than our booking which was so nice. Then we were looked after throughout the dinner service. Our son received a birthday profiterole with a candle in it which he was surprised and delighted with. We sang ‘happy birthday’ and thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience. We will be back! Thank you!!

    Despite having a made a booking a couple of weeks ago, we were initially seated in the windowless downstairs section with zero atmosphere. We were moved upstairs but then we were very rushed so that the food arrived too quickly and my fish was cold so I sent it back. It arrived back 25 minutes later but without the side order I had requested which arrived when I’d virtually finished. This side order was removed from the bill but instead had been replaced by a desert I’d never ordered and the bill had to be further amended. This was neither a good food or service experience. I would never book a table at this Ivy offshoot or indeed any other. I have eaten at a few of them and have never been impressed and this was the last straw.

    Very slow service and we were next to the door and it was open and shut literally every 10 seconds for our entire meal and pretty much ruined it unfortunately. We all had to keep moving as it was very drafty.

    It’s a great restaurant. Service is good, food is good. The only small issue is you can feel they are trying to find ways to make you spend more, likely due to lose revenue from covid. An example is being given the dessert menu twice, despite having already said no the first time. You can sense the staff feel pressured to wring the money towel for as much as possible. All in all still a great experience.

    When we arrived (15 mins early) we were asked to come back in 15 minutes. I asked if we could sit at the bar. We were told we could but there was no service. We were taken to our table downstairs. It was very cold, due to the air conditioning. We were given menus etc and when we ordered cocktails from the menu we were told we couldn't have them as it was the old drinks menu. We had to ask to place our order for starters and mains and then again when we wanted the dessert menu. The food was excellent. Unfortunately the service was very poor. I would not reurn.

    I've eaten here several times now and I must admit on this occasion they didn't quite hit the mark. Our table was in the opened up private dining room, unfortunately unlike the ground floor restaurant, which is excellent, this room lacked ambiance. Our waiter was okay, but a bit slow on the service and unfortunately until we received the bill I hadn't clocked that he'd actually bought us a more expensive bottle of wine than what I'd asked for (same grape). In addition the food seemed to lack the finesse I'm used to there and also they were late bringing out the seasoning for the steak tartare which we had both ordered. Also the chips were not as fresh tasting as I've had before. We also had a wobbly table which I noticed a few other diner did as well! It certainly wasn't enough to put me off going again, but I would expect better from this restaurant brand.

    Service, very slow in getting a drink to the table. Drinks on invoice we did not purchase. It was my Friends 60th birthday, no cake with candle like other tables had. Poor in comparison with Palm Court Restaurant across the way.

    Food generally good but one member of our party who ordered steak medium rare had it presented well done. It was sent back and next steak was rare. The atmosphere and ambiance is pleasant and the staff friendly though staff would benefit from additional training.

    Celebrating Fathers Day in style. Beautiful food with great service. The ambiance is lovely and being in the Centre of convent garden you also get the great atmosphere.
