Excellent venue first class service with friendly staff and food is delicious. Varied menu to suit everyone and for the quality of the food very well priced.
Certainly return .
Wonderful service. Wonderful food. Relaxed atmosphere. Really like this place.
Lovely venue for lunch with friends.
Enjoyed the flatbread with generous salmon.
Visited the jockey several times during our stay in the cotswolds . The food was fantastic and catered for myself who has multiple food allergies, and it never took away from the flavour or quality of the food.
The staff were lovely and very helpful and the pub itself is a lovely relaxing place to be.
I would highly recommend the jockey to anyone who wants a relaxed and pleasant dining experience in wonderful surroundings
Excellent from start to finish. We shall definitely return.
The Jockey Inn is approximately 45 minutes away from where I live but I don’t mind travelling the distance because the food is incredible. We’ve eaten here twice after we came across it a few weeks ago and we will definitely keep going back.
From being greeted on entry and shown to our table the service just got better and better the food was outstanding one of the best Sunday Lunches we have had for months. Sun our server was very good nothing was too much travel and it made our lunch time a great experience we will definitely be visiting the Jockey again.
We always look forward to a lovely eating experience at The Jockey. Just a shame that they let themselves down last night with especially poor service. Table booked for 8.00pm, main course arrived 9.30pm. Great food and we’ll view last night’s service as a one-off. We’ll be back, when we expect “normal service” will have been resumed.
Extremely "underwhelmed" after waiting to visit for so long. 45 minutes for our drinks to arrive, an hour and 20 for first course and nearly 2 hours for main course. The restaurant is overtrading to the detriment of good service and quality. We didn't dare wait for desert or coffee!
Food is pretentious but sadly lacks, portion sizes are tiny. Wine is good value (when it eventually arrives). The place is packed so clearly very popular but just far too few staff who try their best but are just not able to keep up with demand.
The four tables around us were all experiencing the same disappointment.
Sadly, very disappointing.
A very hot dining area with no air conditioning which meant all doors and windows were open, consequently flies all over our food 🤢!
All in all the worst experience had at the Jockey and probably won’t go back.
We sat outside and ordered from the lunch menu. The service was excellent and the food, as always, was beautiful.
I had the gnocchi (vegan option) and my friend had the chicken. Both dishes were outstanding.
The portions look quite small but are exactly the right amount for a filling lunch.
We also had dessert as the lunch menu offers two courses for £15.95. We had the fruit tart and sticky toffee pudding. Would definitely recommend both.
All in all, another excellent meal at the consistently brilliant Jockey!
A lovely early evening meal outside. The food was excellent quality and the service was just right.
Beautifully cooked and presented food with good service. We will be returning next month.
Late Sunday lunch, booked for outdoors but rain imminent so we were seated as requested indoors, large table, without issue by open doors. This was fine & grateful for the ventilation, we were as dining with a different household, however we noticed as cars were parking behind ‘hurdle’ screened off area adjacent to the doors that we could smell exhaust fumes while they backed in or started up.
Came back for the excellent roast beef as we had a few weeks earlier which was equally excellent but noticed by the time it got to table wasn’t quite as warm as it could have been.
Dessert took a bit longer to arrive than usual, but all in all the Jockey is one we’ll come to again!
Great food ! The staff were so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, made it a special Birthday Celebration !
Very good Sunday roast! Same high standard as previous visits.
Great to catch up on what we’ve been missing most
Service was very slow .
They said they were very busy
Overall ok, but service and attention to table and guests could have been better.
Mainly new staff who need a while to settle in.
Enjoyed evening and would be very happy to go back again. Very pleasant surroundings and very good food.
Excellent food and wine and courteous service. Unfortunately, there seemed to be some acrimony between the waiting staff and the chef which resulted in a delay to our food being served.
Pity, as everything else was really good
The meal was excellent and I have no reservations recommending the Jockey to anyone.
We dine here regularly, always enjoy our meals ans the service we receive from Ian and Danny they are a asset to the Business, however a new chef has arrived and we are very disappointed the Pizzas and Tapas have been taken off the menu, the menu needs something between a snack and a full meal.
We absolutely love The Jockey - the food is excellent and there is a great atmosphere. Service is first class. We went to celebrate my granddaughter getting her degree. This is the place for a celebration.
The food was very good and the staff very pleasant. Atmosphere a little lacking as there were not many diners in a large space.
Wow. Simply perfect. Breads, steak, gnocci, desserts. Felt welcomed from arrival to the time we left. Finest food eaten in a long time. 😋
Wonderful, one of my favourite eateries. A must for anyone wanting excellent food in a lovely environment
Love this restaurant. I’ve never had a poor meal there. Friendly, well mannered staff and efficient service.
A firm favourite with us. Exceptional food in a lovely, relaxing environment. Never fails to disappoint! Love “The Jockey”!
The service was excellent, lovely greeting from the Maitre De. All our food was delicious. It was our first visit since moving to Malvern ( recommended by friends, Ross and Emma Pushman) , we will definitely be coming back. Really loved our round table and the chairs were extremely comfortable.
Great service, lovely ambiance, The food was extremely good my only negative would be that I would have liked a few more chips 👍
Booked nearest unknown restaurant to Croome Park where our family group of 6 were meeting for a late afternoon walk followed by our first meal together since Covid. We arrived in time to take advantage of their lunch menu which was served until 5.30 and were made to feel very welcome by the maitre d’. Nothing was too much trouble as he moved tables and made sure we were seated exactly where we wanted to in their lovely courtyard garden and provided lovely cold bottle of water immediately as very warm day. Food was excellent, service the same and every member of staff we met were welcoming and extremely well trained. As we all live at least 2 hours away from each other, it will be our place of choice to meet from now on as a halfway point. Inside this restaurant /pub was very nicely decorated, with excellent loos and a very good standard of Covid hygiene and the early dinner service running like clockwork. Highly recommend with a great horsey theme.
The Jockey is without fail one of the loveliest places to eat. Great service - Ian is a particular star - relaxed, really tasty food, beautifully presented. I had the pecan and Stilton salad for the first time and would definitely have again - delicious.
Maybe just an 'off' night, but nowhere near as good as pre lockdown. The service was atrociously slow, had to remind them three times to bring the wine and the main courses took for ever to arrive. With the food, we had to send back the baked camembert as it had been heated to liquid, and we ended up cancelling the replacement as it was taking forever. The main courses were good except the one steak that was ordered medium rare, came at best medium to well done. I will assume this was a one off as every other time I have eaten here the service and the food quality have been exceptional. Try it!
Excellent venue and meal - great staff - a real pleasure
Given the circumstances it was very good all round.
Great food. Friendly but not intrusive staff. Lovely ambiance….
My very favourite place to eat, for both for lunch or for dinner. The Jockey never fails to live up to the highest expectations, in all respects.
Food seemed even better, how wonderful to return after all the closures due to the pandemic. Excellent choices on the menu to suit all pallets. Evesham asparagus cooked to perfection. The turbot with pasta was absolutely delicious, social distancing followed and as usual, we were treated with the utmost respect and courtesy.
I have always found The Jockey consistent excellent in all respects.
Nice birthday dinner for my wife with friends !!
Steak excellent however a friends main wasn’t as described which was disappointing and my dessert was too sickly even for a sweet toothed person
Friendly service and good food. Appreciated the good vegetarian choices. A little hard to get attention as restaurant was at capacity and we were seated in the bar area. Will return.
