The Jones Family Project
The Orange Room: Seats 30-60. Nestled in the corner of the restaurant it is perfect for private dining and drinking. Inclusive within it are four intimate pockets of alcove tables.
The Green Room: Seats 30-40. This area can be completely or partially closed off by its sliding glass doors.
The Ever Changing Set Room: Dinners for 6-10 or drinks for up to 20. A small but perfectly formed space that gets a revamp every six weeks. Ring to find out what it will be...a 70’s dining room, a ski chalet, a hunting lodge...
A 10 minute walk from Shoreditch Highstreet overground station and Liverpool Street underground and mainline station.
The buses 135, 205 and N205 stop just outside.
Great service as always and the food was incredible
Had high expectations of restaurant to celebrate our Engagement the night before, however we were extremely disappointed with the service we received. Food was OK, but overpriced for what we got. Very inattentive staff on the night. We were sat in the corner of the room which we didn't mind, however we did not expect to be ignored for every round of service for example, once we sat down it was approx. 10 min's before we were asked if we wanted Water, then took 10 minutes to come and give some tap water, then another 10 minutes to ask if we want a drink, another 10 minutes for it to come and so on.... Our Main course was steak, I spilled sauce over the table so asked if I could get some more, this never came. When wanting the bill there was no one to ask the bill so we had to go up and pay ourselves. Not sure why Opentable (when booking) asks why we are visiting as when we put to celebrate engagement, you would half expect a mid range restaurant to acknowledge something like that. Very Disappointed overall.
Tasty food great service had dinner here with our 8 year old son we all enjoyed ourselves.
The main reason for our disappointment at the restaurant was the wait for over half an hour from finishing our starter until our main arrived. We had already said we were under a little time pressure when we arrived, so this lengthy wait did not help. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy our meal as a result.
Ordered the the vegetarian and fish selection off the Xmas menu, food was OK but expected much higher quality cooking for £38. Good cocktails.
Went for dinner here with two friends and was very impressed with the quality of the food here. It was far better than many much more expensive restaurants. The Atmosphere was nice and the staff were helpful (if a little
over-stretched; though it being Christmas time there were a few largish dinner parties there which might explain this).
Would definitely go here again and recommend the place to friends.
My friends and I really enjoyed our lunch. The food was great and the service friendly and efficient. We loved the different areas of the restaurant and after our lunch we went upstairs to have our coffee. Great place and would highly recommend.
Far too noisy for me, personally, but, otherwise, such a great spot! I booked another table straight away!!
This is a sensational restaurant. The food (steak) is one of the best in London and this is a gastronomical sensation. I have been on a number of occasions and it is always brilliant!
Great Sunday lunch
Lovely beef Sunday roast with great quality meat from Ginger Pig. Veggie option good, but lack of roast potatoes was slightly disappointing. Nut roast was also a tad too sweet. Other than that it was very good and the staff were fantastic.
We ordered steak medium to well done it was a joke not half cooked service was slow so wasn’t worth asking to be put into the oven agin.. overall very disappointed with everything, portions are very small was hungry after it..
The food was terrible, what a waste of time and money.
The meat was average and the sides were bad, flavourless. Sincerely go somewhere else.
The environment doesn't exist, can't understand how this place still exists.
Very good all round, really nice steak, nice surroundings
Service was pretty poor; the worst experience out of the 4 times i have been here. Served the wrong food, orders taken and food not delivered to the table at all and steak which was ordered as medium, clearly served as a rare/medium-rare. The ambience was as good as ever, but the quality of the food and service has made me question about impending returns.
Great space and atmosphere! Really quirky and it wasn’t super expensive! The restuarant was super accommodating as i had to keep increasing the number of people on the booking and they were able to accommodate.
very good service, excellent food
very accomddative , we needed to add oner person to the reservation and they where great
Great food. The upstairs is really loud and we were worried, but the downstairs was perfect. Really lovely meal.
We were here in London for thanksgiving and wanted a thanksgiving dinner as close to what we would have at home in USA. It was absolutely delicious!! We stuck to the thanksgiving menu but the rest of the menu looked amazing as well. Highly recommend this restaurant!!
Wonderful traditional American Thanksgiving feast for those of us celebrating away from home. Food was fantastic, service outstanding!
Business Dinner, and the food quality was exceptional, especially the chateaubriand.
The good is fantastic as always. We will definitely be going back soon.
Last minute booking. Excellent very flavoursome rump steak and the starter - spicy tuna - also good. Kicked off dinner with happy hour cocktails at £5.
Waiting staff very friendly too.
I like the idea of being able to order your cut from a list of pieces on the board. Definitely a good place to share a slab of beef if you live with a vegetarian!
Amazing food, service was slow but it was a busy Sunday. Would come again! I would add needs music in the back ground
Went for Sunday lunch having been before for the a la carte menu. I won't go into detail on the meal but despite spending well over £100 for 2 the waitress told me that butter was an extra. Really? I have never heard something so ridiculous in my life
Everything from the placement of my table to the attentive nature of the staff and the hygge ambience made it a beautiful evening, there wasn’t anything I could fault and I can’t wait to go back and make this a regular haunt!
Really enjoyed The Jones Family Project. We shared a few meals between three and they were great!
Came here for dinner and catch up with a group of female friends. We asked for a different table as our table was by the kitchen/serving counter and quite hot and distracting. We were told other tables were booked. I understand that it was a busy Saturday evening, but lots of tables were still free by the time we had finished our meal so I am sure they could have tried harder to accommodate us. We had aperitifs (eg Aperol Spritz) which were reasonably priced at £7.50. The food was fine; two of us had the seasonal risotto which was generous and very nicely cooked, and the other two had monkfish (catch of the day) which was also good but only came with a "smear" of pureed potato and two small leaves of pink kale - just garnish really. We could have done with some side dishes and this ought to have been suggested by our waiter. Overall, slightly disappointed by our first visit to this restaurant, but the menu and general ambience were good so I would be prepared give it another try. There is also a quirky bar on the ground floor (restaurant is downstairs) which seemed surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night.
Amazing food, we got the beef rib for two. Service was great, I scored it a 4 as it would be nice to have some consistency in waiting staff as we had a few different people, but that honestly was the only negative. The whole dining experience was great! Thanks so much :)
Very enjoyable experience, waitress was a little bit confused and rushed us a little. But not an issue, just being picky!
Had a really lovely meal here. Lovely atmosphere, great food and service. Very accessible. Will definitely go back!
Really enjoyed the good, service and overall atmosphere. Will be revisiting.
First time at Jones Family Project and certainly won’t be the last. Thoroughly recommend
Our server Mariana was a great host for the night. She was very attentive during our time there and was just a generally very nice person. The food was great, we had the fillet steak and it was very enjoyable and totally filling. The menu was also very reasonable in price so I would definitely recommend!
Service was good, nothing seemed too much trouble. Special food requests were seen to.
Food great and satisfying.
The only thing I would say is that we were there for Sunday lunch and were looking forward to chatting over our meal. Pop music was quite loud and somewhat inter feared with ambiance. That’s just personal opinion though, everything else was spot on.
The food was very good but one of the waitresses made me feel uncomfortable. We went there for brunch on Sunday and she rudely told me that the brunch menu was not available on Sundays, only roasts and lunch menu. Then she kept coming asking me to move my coat. She really made me feel like I had a bad behaviour even though I was enjoying some quality time with my fiancé. But still the restaurant is nice and the food is amazing.
A lovely restaurant with great meat and a really nice selection of cocktails.
The restaurant had a lovely feel and modern but cosy feel. Friendly and helpful staff. From the outside you wouldn’t know the gem that existed downstairs.
A little disappointed after difficulty changing booking online from 2 to 4 covers and being forced to a later time slot - only to find the restaurant empty when we arrived. No one met us at the door - the staff were chatting at the bar and only really stopped when it looked like we were heading downstairs with no instructions! Our friends were already there though I was told they weren't! Despite this the food was very nice and our waiter looked after us well but I would question going back given the choice of other places in Hoxton.
Excellent Sunday roast - great value too. Basement restaurant but nice atmosphere.
