Wonderfull, delicious food! We loved the recomendations from the host. Nothing to complain. Soulfood.
Fantastic food. Definitely recommend the restaurant for any occasion
Lovely restaurant, very friendly and helpful service and delicious food. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.
Wonderful food, pity that the waitress got many things wrong. However, excellent experience. Hope to be back soon!
The food was delicious and all the waiting staff were really attentive. We had a great meal and I would definitely recommend!
Great food and seevice
Great food and service. Good menu choices
We tried the Nepalese dishes they were very good. Would recommend this place for a cosy meal.
Excellent meal and service with a smile. Brother in law said best curry he’s ever had and he likes his curries! Slight concern that they didn’t have our booking on arrival but was soon sorted out. Highly recommended
Visited this restaurant a few times and the standard of food and service is top notch. There are plenty of options available in the Rey section of the menu. If you have some concerns about any dish he staff are always on hand to give a helpful explanation. Overall, this is a good dining experience. The one criticism l have is that the wine prices are high, paying more than £22 for a moderate Cote de Rhine is over he top.
Probably picked the wrong night but there was a party of around fifteen loud male diners who the staff seemed very eager to serve, resulting in our meal being very rushed and lacked the previous good service we have had here.
We really enjoyed our meal - service was great and food was piping hot, which I loved!
Great food from a wide ranging menu. Momos in particular were excellent. Friendly staff and excellent value for money.
Great food. Finally got authentic nepalese momos in the UK.
Service was great!
We had a great time at The Kukhuri, food was outstanding and so delicious. It was very busy, but staff never seem to falter, they just handle things so professionally. We’ll be back 👍
Best curry I've had in a long time. Lots of vegetarian options for my veggie friend.
Pre rugby international lunch
Excellent food and very good service. Quite small and crowded inside but a superb menu.
Very busy restaurant. Had to wait 15minutes to be seated although had reserved table. Quite cramped and noisy however good reasonably priced food.
Excellent food, fresh and well cooked. Great taste and perfectly presented
An excellent night out.. great service. Great food
we had a nice relaxed meal... friendly helpful staff... and VERY tasty food at reasonable prices... we will be back !
Great food and wine. Prompt and efficient service even though restaurant was full to capacity. Recommend booking - we went on a Tuesday and if we hadn’t booked we’d have been unlucky.
This was without a doubt the worst dining experience of my life. What went wrong? Maybe it was the extraordinarily slow service! Maybe it was the awful food quality including a clearly undercooked prawn dish which I have no doubt that we will be seeing later! Maybe it was the couple next to us clearly high on something swearing and speaking loudly! So food, clientele, ambience, service .....all at a record low. If I could have given this restaurant zero stars I would have done. Do yourselves a favour and DO NOT eat at this restaurant.
Grand. Our best meal in Edinburgh. The owner is a delightful host and the chef is an artist with flavor. Both are from Nepal.
Very pleasant, unobtrusive staff, good tasting and authentic nepalese and indian food.
The staff found out it was my partner's birthday and brought a inpromptu birthday cake to the table.
It was a lovely gesture.
Perfect food. I ordered the medium heat Piro Piro and my date ordered the fragrant korma. Both meals were full of flavour and suited our respective spice palates. The wait staff were the most professional and friendly that you will find and the prices are very reasonable. Fine dining, full flavours, great value!
This restaurant is one of my favorites ever. I only wish I could stay in Edinburgh longer so I could go back. While somewhat small and loud, the service was nonetheless very good. The food is out of this world. I don’t remember the names of what we ordered, but one was like butter chicken and the other was shrimp and vegetables. They were amazing. As starters, we also tried the mixed variety plate to try multiple things, and a shrimp tortilla—all fabulous. The coconut rice, and cheese and pineapple naans were excellent. . The food was like Indian but different. Get yourself over there now!
We loved the Nepalese flavours. Fantastic food and wonderful staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious flavours, the Dall Bahtt was perfect. I will definitely be going back again.
Delicious food, reasonably priced. Great alternative to other Subcontinental food with more depth of flavours.
This was our first experience with Nepalese cuisine and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu was extensive and our knowledgeable host was very helpful in walking us through it. We found everything we tried to be delicious- the spices were divine! Would highly recommend this restaurant. Great food, great service and very good value.
Really nice people friendly and the food is exquisite. We will be back
Very tasty, much above average
The restaurant didnt have our booking, which I guess would be more open tables fault than their own, but they were very accommodating and had space for us anyway(group of 11) . The food was great and the staff were friendly and informative. Everyone enjoyed their meal and made it a memorable evening for all
Booked this, pre-Rolling Stones gig, as did several other people! Homely food, somewhere between Indian and Chinese with a leaning toward the former. It took a while to get our food, but it was worth waiting for. Decent wine list and good Nepalese beer. Highly recommended, but book, as it is small. Some seats are at one huge table, so perhaps not best for an intimidate tete-a-tete!
Fabulous food and extremely pleasant & friendly staff
Food was great as was the service. Group of 8 went and all thought the same. And fairly reasonable prices.
Great food. Place was crammed but the service was attentive and swift. Nothing too much of a problem. Being busy the food was a bit slow, but I’d worry if they were shoving it out. The quality and quantity I’d great. Can highly recommend you give this place a try.
The Khukuri is fast becoming our local restaurant of choice. The food is delicious and the staff and very kind and courteous. It is a wee gem near Haymarket Station
Good service. Fine food. Very handily placed after a game at Murrayfield. Helpings are huge and very tasty. Reasonably priced even though like all other restaurants in the area they had a "Matchday Menu". Experience of other venues on Match day usually means restricted choice and inflated prices. I would definitely recommend it.
