The King's Head Inn
Fantastic lunch in a brilliant pub. The food was amazing and the ambience was just right.
Will definitely come again. One of our favourites!
Given a warm welcome. Friendly and efficient service. Good ambiance and reasonable value for money food. Only real drawback was that there was nowhere to park on a cold and wet evening.
Always a pleasure to have Sunday lunch here. Excellent roast beef. Some very well priced interesting red wines available
Good roast and outside play area was very handy for kids. Service a bit slow after the main.
First visit and will definitely go again. The food was really good and atmosphere very relaxed
Lovely atmosphere and great food. The deviled lambs kidneys were delicious. The beer is also very good.
Some parts of the dishes were delicious, some tasteless.
Delicious scotch egg surrounded by very watery and unseasoned lentils. Meat board OK, but not generous enough.
Fantastic duo of lamb with dauphinois and cabbage. Fish and chips, OK
Rhubarb and custard panacotta - a few pieces of poached rhubarb served alongside a regular (rather tasteless) panacotta (where’s the custard?)
Beer nothing special, Saul Blanc ok (cold at least!)
Fabulous food, great serve and lovely ambience. Have recommended to all friends and family. We will definitely return. Thank you to all the staff for making our lunch so special.
Another amazing meal delivered at the King Head. We love coming here as the food and service is always excellent.
Despite an early booking the place was busy with a lovely hustle and bustle.
Starter of fish cakes were delicious as was my husbands (I can’t remember the name. Came in a puff pastry parcel). However I did remember the roast beef and Yorkshire’s (huge). The carrots were a star unto themselves cooked in star anise which really life a plain carrot into something else. Generous thick cut sirloin of beef and cauliflower cheese.
Really lovely service. We were never left thirsty with many a top up. Great friendly service. We will be back. Thank you.
We love this pub! It’s our local. Always great service. Always friendly and amenable. Great food! Burger night is fantastic. Quality, tasty burgers.
There was a slight mix up with order but noticed by Robert and quickly and efficiently rectified. Overall fantastic service.
The staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful and attentive without being in any way overbearing. The food was excellent and the timing between courses perfect!
Every one enjoyed their meal. Very friendly staff. The pub is in a lovely setting.
The best Sunday Lunch I have had in years. The roast loin of pork was superb as was the Roast Beef my mother had and so was the "Sheperds" Pie which was a vegetarian twist on the classic but absolutely delicious. Plenty of veg and lovely yorkshire puddings helped make the lunch memorable. The deserts were to die for, best Treacle Tart I have ever eaten. Just to make the lunch perfect they serve really well kept Hooky. What more could you want from a quaint pub full of character in the heart of the Cotswolds.
We all had delicious lunches and would recommend you again and come again.
Had a delicious Sunday lunch at the King's Head. Choice of beef or pork and we all went for pork. Beautifully cooked and the vegetables were so tasty. Too full for puds but there looked to be a good choice. You won't be disappointed if you go here but do book as it was busy, in a good way. Attentive staff.
We sat in the room just past the bar - it was a lovely bright room. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely attentive.
Excellent food - it came a little bit too quickly, but just about on the acceptable side. Very good value.
Family friendly pub, good Sunday roast.
Had to wait 2 hours for our meal and we had young children with us. No updates given unless we asked and no offer of nibbles while we waited.
We asked for our desserts to be taken off the bill which they did.
The food was nice but not amazing.
Sadly didn’t live up to the hype.
Lovely atmosphere and great food as usual. Really nice way to start the new year with friends
My family and I went for lunch on New Years Day. It was a lovely experience. The ambience of the pub was what we hoped for our trip to the Cotswold. And we also thought the food was very high quality and value for money (we had the burger, the schnitzel and the ginger pudding for dessert). Overall a great experience that we highly recommend.
Fabulous food, great service in the lovely restaurant. Highly recommend.
Very good traditional food. Pub/restaurant was very busy on the lunchtime we were there and there was eight of us eating so the wait to be served was understandable, but all of us enjoyed the food and service when it arrived.
Christmas Eve family dinner
We are regular visitors! Great food in a lovely atmosphere with excellent service.
An outstanding meal for all 4 of us. The pub was packed but the service was exceptional and a wonderful friendly atmosphere
For a cozy evening to be recommended only if seated at the bar side.
Very cosy inn, cocktail list, varied menu great atmosphere and attentive kind service
This was a return visit for another special birthday meal, and did not disappoint!
Good quality food and friendly service at very reasonable prices in a charming village inn.
Lovely Wednesday burger night meal in a lovely bar full of history. Excellent beer and wine. Great staff service.
Well, generally I have found the food good at the Kings Head but our visit this time was marred firstly by being offered a too small table set for one (although we had booked). The three quarters of an hour wait for food at the table we ended upon nearest the door didn’t aid our enjoyment. I needed cushions to raise myself to table level and helped myself to these. Our coats were not taken. My dish included mussels in their shells and there was no bowl offered for debris until I had finished eating. The food was good but not exceptional. Overall very disappointing as in the past I have highly recommended the Kings Head to friends.
Loved it! Such a great pub with rooms in the beautiful village of Bledington. Would stay again!
Had a very enjoyable meal with friends and was lovely to see archie there too- would definitely recommend this pub to friends and family- thank you
Fantastic Sunday lunch. Great with our two young children. Lovely environment. Highly recommend.
The food was excellent when it arrived but we had to wait a very long time for both courses. 2 of our party had the blackberry and apple crumble but struggled to find any blackberries. To be fair, when we pointed this out to the waitress the crumble was taken off the bill
Ate in the bar. Very welcoming and lovely ambiance. Food was excellent and the service impeccable. First visit and not our last.
Very nice meal in the restaurant of a fabulous traditional English pub Relaxed atmosphere Very attentive staff
We had fish and chips. The fish was Luke warm and very heavily battered with not much fish, but the chips where hot and delicious. For pud we had treacle tart which was cold and obviously just out of the fridge as we couldn’t cut into it as it was so hard! All in all not a good lunch.
