Wonderful tea house. The food was fantastic - bigger selection than anticipated and I was thrilled they had American-style pancakes as my daughter loved them! The cakes, scones, tea and coffee were all superb. The setting was perfectly casual and cosy, and the staff very friendly.

I visited the cafe for a birthday lunch and although the food was good, we had to wait a very long time, even though we had been told it would be 15 minutes. When the sandwiches did arrive they were very nice but the bread had started to dry out slightly, and only 2 of our 3 orders arrived with a further delay for the 3rd order. It was particularly - and obviously unexpectedly - busy but I'd rather have been told the wait would be in excess of half an hour than be told it was 15 minutes and then wait what seemed like forever.

Having said that, the atmosphere, food and service were good and I would go back to try again.

Had a leisurely brunch with my elderly parents on my birthday. Was lovely, unrushed and staff welcoming and attentive.
