The Ledbury Ratings and Reviews
Excellent restaurant and service.
The food was exceptional as were the wine pairings.
The only thing I would critique would be the other patrons.
I realize the restaurant has little control over this, but over half the dinning room was constantly on their phones. Not only taking pictures throughout, but having actual conversations on their phones at the their tables.
Excellent service. The atmosphere was relaxed and we were well attended to. The Vegetarian rating menu was incredible and we were spoiler with pre starters and pre desert samples. My partner was also treated to a special cake and a signed card from the chef as it was her Birthday. This made be experience personal as well as magical- couldn't ask for a better culinary journey.
Wonderful food and excellent service! Definitely one of the best restaurants in London, strongly recommended! I had a set menu lunch of 4 courses, each of them is fabulous. The staffs are warm and thoughtful , and really care about their customers. Looking forward to coming back next time in London :)
very attentive service. Food was awesome and the wine recommendation is great. Love the place. Good for special occasion. I noted it would be our honeymoon trip dinner when I made the reservation. The Ledbury was very considerate that they even prepared us with a warm and kind notes and a special dessert to congratulate us on our marriage. Great memory. Thank you!
This place isn't generally accepted to be one of the best restaurants in London for no reason; everything was exemplary. Food, service, decor - it was also fairly reasonably priced.
One of the courses was quite honestly one of the most memorable I've ever had (and I've had one or two over the years) and a cracking beer selection to boot.
Will definitely be returning.
Well what a meal, the food was simply stunning, the initial impression was of clean simplicity but each mouthful revealed complex layers of flavor, combined with a real knowledge of ingredients. You need some theater with this caliber of restaurant and this was delivered with the hen of the woods dis, presented on a bed of burning pine needles. We went for the paired wines which included some very interesting choices that complemented the dishes. I did look at the wine list however and it appeared excellent in range and depth. I would say that the service is the most professionally relaxed I have ever had, informative, attentive and immediately putting you at ease and engaging you in normal conversation. This goes straight into my top five all time restaurant experiences.
A table for 4 came up randomly on a Friday evening and I'd been meaning to go for ages, so booked quick. With such a good reputation, but with some feedback from friends borderline, we weren't completely sure what to expect.
Well, what a treat: The dining room is beautiful, at the same time relaxed and the tables (in London like) nicely spaced out- in my view the space is broken up cleverly to make it feel cosy, private and buzzy wherever you sit.
The food (six course tasting) was outstanding, paired wines - some of which were unusual - just right. Monkfish to die for, a relatively simple dish of suckling pig the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot!!).
The service is the opposite of stuffy (which is always a worry), efficient and very friendly. Never rushed, we were there from 7:30 till after 11:00.
Of course it's pricey: 350 a couple (six course tasting; one with wine pairing, the other not; cocktail and coffee). So certainly not an every day. But don't worry, you can't get a table anyway, so it's a special occasion place guaranteed!
Will be back.
Outstanding as always. We were here to celebrate my birthday and our meal was impeccable from start to finish. The staff and service really made the experience a memorable one. A special thank you to Jack, it was lovely to see you again!
It was the first visit for my friends and they really enjoyed themselves. I would highly recommend The Ledbury for any occasion.
You cannot beat the Ledbury from the moment you walk in you are treated like royalty - nothing is too much trouble. the food is presented as a work of art and tastes are phenomenal - eve3ry course is a discussion point and between the 6 of us we tried everything! the amuses bouche were delicious - the starters just the right size and the soup was so good it left us all wondering - and we do not normally have soup! Each main was perfectly presented and tasted remarkable and the swets a perfect ending to a perfect meal.
This really was a fantastic meal. We enjoyed the 8 course tasting menu which was delicious - each course different from the one before and everything was well executed and well thought through. However, the thing that set this restaurant apart from other restaurants at this level was the service. The staff are a true credit to the restaurant and it just wouldn't be the same without them. Everyone was professional, but everyone had a relaxed manner that made all diners feel at ease. This meant that people were relaxed and having a good time (not like some fancy restaurants where you can hear a pin drop!) We loved the whole experience and would love to return.
Amazing restaurant. Our first time visiting and I honestly can’t stop thinking about the delicious courses-was a wonderful culinary experience. We really can’t wait to come back one day soon. The staff were first class: attentive and so friendly, no way pushy or intrusive. The casual dress code also adds to the relaxed fine dining experience. We loved it!!! Thank you for spoiling us!
Always a favourite with every aspect perfect in every way. As usual I put myself in the very capable hands of the sommelier, as did the rest of the party, which meant we tried wines we wouldn’t naturally have, and had our lunch enhanced as a result.
I’m very much looking forward to my next visit.
Visited the Ledbury for my partners Birthday meal. Perfect evening with sublime food and excellent service. We opted for the 6 course tasting menu (because we are suckers for the cheese trolley so we knew we knew we'd be having an extra course), which was a perfect amount of food. A couple of nice touches were the extra Birthday desert and card for my partner. Definitely recommend.
