What Insiders Are Saying
You’ll have to sell a kidney to pay the check at The Ledbury, but it will be worth it. Head to the Notting Hill spot for your next very special meal.
Wonderful tasty food, elegantly presented and served by a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team.
One of the best meals I ever had in London!
Quite simply the greatest meal we have ever had.
Six friends, table is close to the door. The biggest thing to complain is the dim light. Service is great, appetizers are not to our taste, the following main course is good except the oyster， the sauce with oyster is weird.
Overall, the experience is great, 8courses for 150GBP
Amazing experience for our last meal out before Christmas. The service was impeccable, with all staff knowledgeable about the food being served. Vicktor was particularly welcoming. Portion sizes were good for a tasting menu and wines were well picked to go with the food. Highly recommend as a special occasion restaurant.
Sublime, unbelievable food served by the most professional, friendly and welcoming staff! Most restaurants in this category offer excellent food, but this was a cut above. Imaginative and interesting the whole way through, it was also perfectly portioned such that we did not feel bloated at any point. I never thought I would be waxlyrical about a mushroom... But, for us, the ambiance imparted by the staff really set this place apart. If you want a quiet romantic meal, they will no doubt detect this and oblige accordingly. However, if want a more interactive experience, they are fully willing to oblige. We had the pleasure to be hosted by Jack and his excellent team, who all imparted their knowledge with both passion and humour. We cannot wait to go back, using any special occasion as an excuse!
Amazing menu and service. The staff were all so professional and personable. I left knowing a bit about them as we discussed the foods and wines. Overall a lovely experience.
An amazing birthday experience. From the moment you enter the restaurant till the end it feels like home. Warm and happy smiles, spotless service and the food....every dish has a story and surprise on your mouth. We had the tasting menu and it was worthy. The combination of colours and flavours was fantastic. If you want to celebrate a special occasion or even to have a quiet and lovely lunch you should go.
This is the best all round restaurant experience we’ve had yet. The food at El Bulli was more cutting edge, yet this is better than any other 3 star Michelin experience, primarily because, unlike most 2 and 3 star experiences, it’s not trying too hard, yet it’s near perfection. A lot of 2 stars disappoint. But this doesn’t. The vegetarian tasting menu was sublime. The service is there when you need it and not when you don’t. The sommelier is great and it’s not full of braying, offensive new money yaboos. It’s just right. Everything is just right. Thanks to all at the Ledbury.
Food was delicious and portions were much larger than other fine dining restaurants we have been to around the world. Each dish was timed perfectly after the other. The staff are amazing - special shout out to Jack for making our experience even better!
Best food I’ve had in London - amazing tasting menu, which was perfectly matched with a fantastic group of wines.
Very attentive, but never intrusive staff, and a lovely dining room which was lively but not overly noisy.
They make a good martini, too.
First 2 stars restaurant that I have tried. Met my expectation and hit top score on all front!
Service was warm and friendly. Cosy environment, felt I was in a 5 star luxury hotel. And the food... just amazing. Delicious, full of fresh seasonal ingredients cooked perfectly. Every item on every dish was put together to lift the taste of the plates to a greater level. I applaud for the attention to detail in every aspect. My wife and I had a wonderful experience and definitely one to recommend for a special occasion!
The 8 course vegan tasting menu was fantastic. Best food we have had in London, and indeed the whole of the UK. Highly recommend it.
My all time favourite: food is always awsome. Tasting menu recommended. Yes it’s pricey but worth it.
Best service I have had in London. Sommelier Victor, Jack and his team all did an amazing job for a double birthday celebration. Food was absolutely spectacular, every course more impressive than the last.
Food as always was great - but at £130 pp for lunch it’s not exceptional enough. Either they need to take more risk or revert to their £49 weekend set lunch price point
Shame - used to be my favourite
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been. Amazing food and also matching wine were incredible.
Fantastic - everyone was so friendly, helpful and happy!
The meal (we opted for the four courses) was amazing - the flavours and creativity were superb. Having dined at many Michelin restaurants the Ledbury is at the top of their league. We were also delighted to meet the chef and see the kitchen - this was very much appreciated. A big thank you to everyone for a great culinary experience.
Food excellent. Service by and large good although one or two slightly surly waiters/sommelier, perfunctory rather than friendly overall. Probably a bit of retraining needed to get with the times.
Food and Wine is both inventive and delicious, solidly a 2 star experience. The insightful, welcoming and fun service elevates the meal, makes you feel well taken care of.
Absolutely exceptional as usual. Menu and paired wines were perfect, presentation immaculate and beautiful, service was relaxed but impeccable. Best restaurant in London.
The best dinner that I have had in ages
This is undoubtedly a wonderful restaurant that’s been around for years and we had a lovely evening but whilst the food was good, it didn’t blow us away. In fact, the dessert courses I actually found disappointing. We were celebrating my birthday so I did get to taste 3 of them excellent service; food - just good. And that’s not quite good enough for 2 Michelin stars.
Great from start to finish. Will certainly go back the next time in London.
There is a reason why The ledbury is listed among the top restaurants in the world. Everything about the evening was superb and it made my father's 70th birthday a night to remember.
The restaurant was fantastic, as it always is. Understated elegance and exquisit dining.
Excellent food. Amazing service! I had an early celebration for my birthday there. These are my first time to receive a birthday card from the restaurant. Staffs were friendly .
The food is fantastic .it is now my no.1 restaurant. Very tasty.
Stunning food fantastic service we were spoilt on our 2nd visit.. best meal I’ve ever had....... hit our culinary G spot
The Ledbury was our very first outing to a Michelin starred restaurant some 10 years ago, which started our passion for good food, so it was great to return. Pleasantly not much has changed; outstanding service, like meeting old friends, and quality of dishes made even more special by the personable and knowledgeable sommelier. Would happily have given the Ledbury a full sheet of 5 stars if it wasn't for the White Beetroot, Baked in Clay, Caviar Salt and Smoked Eel which we found hard to stomach. Not the fault of the restaurant, just us not caring for very strong fish tastes. Let's hope it's not another 10 years before we get back.
Fantastic food, with the marvellous tasting menu. Professional but friendly service. Gluten free not a problem. Great wine advice
Food was amazing. Every dish was so well balanced in flavour and texture. Service & wait staff were so sweet and lovely. All of them had huge smiles on their faces, which made the experience wonderful. 10/10! Will definitely return.
It was such a nice Saturday lunch for my boyfriend's birthday. Food was amazing. I have an allergy on apple and they gave me all apple-free cuisines and they were just perfect.
The food had amazing flavours which we delighted in. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable about their wine list and its provenance; so we were able to enjoy just the the right wine to complement our food. The staff were delightful, attentive but giving us space to be on our own for our celebratory meal.
The attitude and professionalism of everyone working there was geared towards making our experience very special. They operated as a well integrated team. Friendly and enthusiastically striving to please. Well done, my best experience of any London restaurant so far.
Just wow! Incredible amuse bouche.
Excellent service, faultless food, no gimmicky dishes just great quality, technique and taste. Nice wine recommendations from the staff.
Reasonable value. Relaxed atmosphere for a birthday lunch with friends
As we had moved a bit further away we hadnt been to the resuarant for a while, but I have to say the Service, the ambience and the imaginative menu are still very hard to beat. However our food this time was good but with no particulary memorable dishes.
Great service and food
