The Lewinnick Lodge
Nestled atop the cliffs of Pentire Headland, with stunning views across the mighty Atlantic & beyond, the Lewinnick Lodge offers a spectacular dining experience.
"The lodge' is open for breakfast at 9am and serves throughout the day until 10pm (10.30pm in the summer). Our ethos is simple, fresh seasonal produce prepared on the premises, using the very best the Cornish larder has to offer. We aim to cater for all tastes on our regular menus but if you are a lover of fresh fish & seafood then our twice daily changing specials will have you coming back time and again.
Other facilities include, large sun terrace, beer garden, open fireplace, large public bar with pool table/live sport. We are also dog friendly in the bar area.
Last minute booking for lunch. Was seating in the window with lovely view over the water and good views of Newquay and crantock. Staff were friendly, helpful and service was great. Food was pleasant and served within good time. Would definitely recommend to those that want a simple cream tea, small bite to eat or even a lovely filling meal as we did.
Very nice meal from start to finish, our waitress was very efficient. Would absolutely book a table again.
The food here is exceptional. The roast lunch on a sunday second to none. Enormous Yorkshire puddings and the dessert menu, wow
Lovely restaurant with breathtaking views. Really needs to be visited in daylight hours to fully appreciate.
Excellent service and varied menus. One of our favourite places to take visiting friends.
Second visit this year and it takes us five hours to get to Cornwall, so that says something about the place! We love it here however, as we mentioned in the last review, although the food was amazing, the service was amazing and our waiter was fantastic, sadly as mentioned before; Lewinnick Lodge is due a facelift. The floors and furniture are tired and tatty and it is letting the whole place down. The noise level was difficult to cope with this year but maybe with more soft furnishings, this will help it to sound less like a canteen.
However!!! We would still come back! It’s gorgeous, but please take on board what we say as it would be sad to let things slide and customers will wonder if the bedrooms are as shabby as downstairs.
Only our opinion.
Hang on to your Chef(s) and the team though, as mentioned above; it was brilliant.
Delicious! Wonderful place! Fantastic view!
Lovely food with good choice. Really friendly staff only to happy to please. Great views and with really Happy memories. :)
Lovely, restaurant, food, atmosphere, staff...what more could you ask for.
Superb! Say no more!
Great food and lively conversation made for a great evening
Excellent food and service. Made one mistake with a drink order but that was quickly rectified.
Such a lovely evening, superb food, excellent choices for both vegans and vegetarians + delicious Bloody Mary!!! Definitely will be coming again.
Another nice meal (Sunday roast) at Lewinnick.
Service was excellent, waitress was fantastic. Knowledgeable and attentive without interrupting too much. Food was great for the money, will visit again.
Excellent location and friendly staff. Bar person may have been new as didn't know their pale ales from their dark ales, however very polite and friendly. Food was excellent, well presented and sensible size portions; could leave large appetites wanting more. Acoustics meant that couldn't easily chat to friends across a small table, that was disappointing as don't get a chance to get together very often and no one wants to spend evening shouting across a table. A few large parties and a girls night out whilst we were there which possibly didn't help, but they weren't rowdy. Would go again, one day.
Stunning food and our special requests were met. Many thanks :)
Wonderful place, great service, just shame there was a complete inability to produce a well done steak. First came out completely bloody, even after it had been sent back and returned it was still very pink, definitely still a medium NOT well done..... Did not send back again as fellows diners meals were going cold waiting!!!
Beautiful food, stunning location. We wish we were able to sit by the window to enjoy the stunning sea view. Staff were very kind and friendly. We have had a lovely feeling.
Having booked a table a number of weeks before when we arrived we expected our table to be ready, this was not the case. We finally sat down 20 minutes after our booking time of 3 pm and it took staff 15 minutes then to take our order. We received our starter 3.50 and then it was then 4.25 before we received our main meal. It was very noticeable that when we arrived there were 6 serving staff and at some point this was reduced to 2! The remaining staff just could not cope with the demands of the tables waiting.
Herrliches Abiente, wunderbare Aussicht und sehr schmackhaftes Essen
Really nice food, good atmosphere, amazing views.good selection of drinks.
Lovely food, delightful staff, stunning views and you feel like you have all the time in the world.
Food was outstanding, although expensive. Placed our drinks order with our food and they forgot it so had the starters before the drinks arrived. Very noisy with terrible thumping music in the background. Good job the sun set was stunning to take your mind off the noise!!
Always a pleasure and food as usual good quality and value
Excellent Service. Incredible food. Well looked after.
Been before and the menu was great, couldn’t chose what to have as everything sounded lovely. This time we could chose what to have as nothing sounded as good.
The starter was lovely, main was a little bland and didn’t end up choosing a pudding as there wasn’t anything we liked the sound of.
Previously had the sticky toffee pudding which was the best ever, this time it has now changed to a vegan one so didn’t waste our time on it.
Still nice, but disappointing
Perfect location for lunch with the best views
Our food drinks and service were superb
Staff so friendly and welcoming
We love it there
Been going to the Lewinnick for many years and this was the best meal we have had. The service was also excellent.
We came for a roast dinner and booked a table for 4pm, but there were no roasts left!! The service was polite and nice but very very slow, we had to prompt the servers to do everything 'we are ready for our drink order now' the 'please can you clear our plates'. We waited 45 minutes for our main meal. And the coffee tasted of petrol. The view and the restaurant decor was nice.
Best lamb roast dinner I've ever had!
Beautiful restaurant and stunning view.
Have visited a few times now and every time it is great. Relaxed atmosphere with a great view, friendly staff and amazing food!
The food was amazing and the restaurant has beautiful views over the bay. I wouldn't hesitate to return or recomend this place to anyone else!
Fabulous treat for mum in law before leaving Cornwall.
Top service, amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere.
Loved it thank you.
Food was very good with decent portion sizes. Price was on the expensive side but is justified based on quality of the food and service. Service was really good. Very friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.
Always pleased with the restaurant. Food is always nice, staff are friendly and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Looking forward to coming back again soon.
Lovely catch up with Friends, first time they have been and they were very impressed. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere and staff couldn't be more helpful. Shame we live so far away, we'd love to go more often!
Lovely sea view, great food just disappointed they ran out of specials on the menu for a 7.30pm booking and not informed until after ordering.
My main course was disappointing- too salty and only warm. The rest was good.
