The Lewinnick Lodge
Nestled atop the cliffs of Pentire Headland, with stunning views across the mighty Atlantic & beyond, the Lewinnick Lodge offers a spectacular dining experience.
"The lodge' is open for breakfast at 9am and serves throughout the day until 10pm (10.30pm in the summer). Our ethos is simple, fresh seasonal produce prepared on the premises, using the very best the Cornish larder has to offer. We aim to cater for all tastes on our regular menus but if you are a lover of fresh fish & seafood then our twice daily changing specials will have you coming back time and again.
Other facilities include, large sun terrace, beer garden, open fireplace, large public bar with pool table/live sport. We are also dog friendly in the bar area.
Food was outstanding, although expensive. Placed our drinks order with our food and they forgot it so had the starters before the drinks arrived. Very noisy with terrible thumping music in the background. Good job the sun set was stunning to take your mind off the noise!!
Always a pleasure and food as usual good quality and value
Been before and the menu was great, couldn’t chose what to have as everything sounded lovely. This time we could chose what to have as nothing sounded as good.
The starter was lovely, main was a little bland and didn’t end up choosing a pudding as there wasn’t anything we liked the sound of.
Previously had the sticky toffee pudding which was the best ever, this time it has now changed to a vegan one so didn’t waste our time on it.
Still nice, but disappointing
Perfect location for lunch with the best views
Our food drinks and service were superb
Staff so friendly and welcoming
We love it there
Been going to the Lewinnick for many years and this was the best meal we have had. The service was also excellent.
We came for a roast dinner and booked a table for 4pm, but there were no roasts left!! The service was polite and nice but very very slow, we had to prompt the servers to do everything 'we are ready for our drink order now' the 'please can you clear our plates'. We waited 45 minutes for our main meal. And the coffee tasted of petrol. The view and the restaurant decor was nice.
Best lamb roast dinner I've ever had!
Beautiful restaurant and stunning view.
Have visited a few times now and every time it is great. Relaxed atmosphere with a great view, friendly staff and amazing food!
The food was amazing and the restaurant has beautiful views over the bay. I wouldn't hesitate to return or recomend this place to anyone else!
Fabulous treat for mum in law before leaving Cornwall.
Top service, amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere.
Loved it thank you.
Food was very good with decent portion sizes. Price was on the expensive side but is justified based on quality of the food and service. Service was really good. Very friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.
Always pleased with the restaurant. Food is always nice, staff are friendly and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Looking forward to coming back again soon.
Lovely catch up with Friends, first time they have been and they were very impressed. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere and staff couldn't be more helpful. Shame we live so far away, we'd love to go more often!
Lovely sea view, great food just disappointed they ran out of specials on the menu for a 7.30pm booking and not informed until after ordering.
My main course was disappointing- too salty and only warm. The rest was good.
Etwas lautes Ambiente
The food was great, plenty of good choice. A small picky bits with the fish being a little over cooked and the seasoning of the moules but overall a lovely meal with a beautiful view. The service was fantastic and made for a very relaxing lunch.
This is usually one of our favourite restaurants in Cornwall.
My friend and I were visiting with our 18 year old daughters. A phone copy of driving licence was not accepted and they were told they could not have a drink.
They would not accept out guarantee that they were 18.
I believe the law states that a child over the age of 16 can drink while having a meal if bought by adults. Why on earth would they not accept this.
Anyway after further discussion they did allow them to have a ‘small’ glass of wine that we had bought.
Do not understand the policy of not serving especially when with parents.
Breathtaking setting, incredible views, amazing food. 10/10 from me.
We had trouble understanding what waiterss was saying they both seemed to mumble ,also we had be seated right between two air conditioning units in the ceiling ,very chilly but overall nice evening xx
One of the nicest meals we've had in a long old time! We will definitely be visiting again.
Amazing location with beautiful restaurant setting out on the Pentire headland. Great quality food a step above the usual gastro-pub fare
We loved our dinner here so much we came back again the next day for our last meal in Cornwall. Food was excellent, staff were friendly and attentive and the views were amazing - we even saw a seal! :)
The location is outstanding and is a winner regardless of anything else. The food was very nice and the service, although slightly chaotic, was very pleasant.
We had a fabulous lunch here after a windy dog walk. Food and view were both excellent. On our top 5!
Restaurant manager slammed bread on the table and walked away when cancelled a meal that took ages to reheat!
Other than that the starters were tasty and good, and plaice in crab bisque was amazing!
Excellent, didn't disappoint again :) poleta dusted calamari and asian salad was epic!
High days and entertaining friends and families since 1994/5 when a Trroora boy came home to Cornwall
Wonderful meal as usual. Food was as excellent as the view and that is saying something! All 4 of us were very happy with every dish. I would thoroughly recommend!
Great food with a nice variety of choices.
Wonderful views in a great location. Jake was great serving us as well.
Fantastic location, which cried out for drinks on the terrace, over dramatic rocks, followed by the modern ambience of indoor dining. The food was good (though the main course was a bit slow to arrive) but the staff were friendly and super-helpful. A walk on the headline before hand made it a perfect evening.
Amazing food and a great service. Have visited the Lewenick Lodge before, and would definitely visit again.
Table location was poor, despite ring ahead to say it was our 25th Anniversary. A big noisy birthday party spoilt the setting but after they left the smaller tables helped. Food is excellent and everything is hot and well prepared.
Just the table was not what we expected. I know they will put some quick response on how they cannot promise a table but I have to say I was given the expectation we would get a good table given the occasion. And yes we did ask to be moved but we were not allowed to move.
Excellent location over looking the bay, with a great view of the sunset. Food was lovely and there was a good selection of options. Service was good and the staff polite. It was Friday night and the place was buzzing. We had a great evening thank you.
Fantastic location and one of the most spectacular bedrooms I have stayed in. But a table next to 25 people having a family 50th meant I couldn’t actually hear what my wife was saying. While that isn’t always a bad thing it did rather spoil the evening.
Lovely place a must to visit when we are on holiday
Always visit here when staying in Cornwall , normally highlight / treat of the week. Disappointed with the poor service , very slow. Booked a table for 6.30 PM, there was 8 of us including 3 children. Sat at table for 10 minutes before we got drinks , starters came at 7.20pm way too long for children to be waiting even adults. Eventually got main course, my husband and brother in law ordered bottle of red wine to go with their steaks this arrived as they had nearly finished eating. Children had desserts and when we finally left it was pitch black for our walk back over to Headland Point. Bill came to over £250.00 which is expensive but our treat for our holiday but all felt disappointed and let down by the attention to detail of the service we received. Would visit again the views are amazing but probably just for drinks at lunchtime.
Great food, stunning views and friendly, helpful service.
What can I say the food was amazing as usual along with the service who was very helpful in explaining the Gluten Free options and accommodating our dietary needs. Can’t recommend this place enough definitely will be coming back when we come back to Newquay
