The Lewinnick Lodge
Perched atop the cliffs of Pentire headland, with stunning views across the mighty Atlantic, Lewinnick Lodge offers a spectacular dining experience.
The Lodge is open for breakfast at 8am and serves food throughout the day until 10pm (10.30pm in the summer). The ethos is simple: fresh, seasonal produce prepared on the premises, using the very best the Cornish larder has to offer. We aim to cater for all tastes on our regular menus but if you are a lover of fresh fish & seafood then our specials will have you coming back time and again.
Other facilities include a large sun terrace, open fireplace, large public bar with pool table/live sport. We are also dog friendly in the bar area.
with Pesto & parmesan or Tomato & basil sauce topped with cheese
Vegan Cream Tea
scone, jam, honeycomb margarine, a pot of tea
Sticky Toffee Pudding
caramel sauce, soy vanilla ice cream
Special evening, birthday, not expecting too much being high summer and the distancing etc., which is going on. How wrong we were, greeted warmly, fabulous spot in the restaurant, spotlessly clean, amazing outlook with fabulous sunset, the service was very professional, nothing too much trouble. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection, hoped to return for or wedding anniversary, sadly fully booked, customers will not be disappointed, we hope to revisit again in the Autumn. Thank you to all the team ⭐️
Super food in beautiful setting
Helpful smiling staff
Fantastic meal nice staff and the view is stunning
Disappointing experience. Not busy at all yet we had to wait over 30min for our coffee and then a further 40min for our breakfast to arrive. The full Cornish breakfast looked like it had been precooked and reheated, eggs Florentine had to be sent back as mushrooms were missing and there was eggshell in the holondaise sauce (it was replaced and taken off of the bill however this required another wait) meaning that I was left eating on my own as the rest of the table had finished. Such a shame as the location is beautiful. The staff were miserable and appeared to be bickering amongst themselves, not a professional way to behave in front of customers. As it was so quiet you would have expected a fabulous service with breakfast being served promptly alas not the case. Will not return!
Nice choice of meals Tasty and worthy of a visit Don’t miss the views at Sunset
Beautiful as always!
An excellent experience as always! 👍
Great service, food and ambience even in such strange and challenging times!
Looking for a great breakfast with fabulous views, chilled atmosphere and friendly staff? Look no further - a wonderful way to finish our holiday in Cornwall thank you
We had a very enjoyable dinner. Very noisy though.
Good organisation in view of COVID 19 and finial distancing. Had an enjoyable meal
Just fabulous! Lovely venue - great view apart from the fog! Gorgeous food and amazing service especially Rachel and Carmen - will definitely be back!
Wonderful experience and felt like the staff are respecting the new rules set out for covid protection .
Lewinnck Lodge is a favourite restaurant, we've always had excellent dining, service and friendly, brilliant staff! We would just recommend booking so as not to be disappointed!
New configuration of the restaurant and bar area has been well thought out so that diners can be accommodated safely and to comply with social distancing.
Well done to all concerned - we look forward to returning soon!
Lovely meal off the small plates menu.
The food is always excellent at Lewinnick, but these days there is a need to be safe and feel safe. Lewinnick seems to have gone to extraordinary lengths to ensure that diners can access and exit the restaurant safely. Once in the restaurant the nearest tables are over the two metre rule apart.
Being of an age where I would be classed as vulnerable I was, at first, reluctant to go out to dine anywhere. I needn't have worried as far as Lewinnick is concerned.
The staff have been well trained in their duties and the whole experience for me was completely relaxed.
As mentioned at the start of this review, the food is of the highest quality, with reasonable waiting times for food as a bonus.
Lovely place for an anniversary/birthday lunch. We sat in the newly extended side, very comfortably. Started with a plate of artisan bread and something made from hazelnuts, and lemon verbena olives. Both delicious. My glass of Merlot was just right. I enjoyed a delicious 'small plate' of Korean chicken; my husband really liked his fried haddock, chips etc. He followed that up with a peanut brittle desert, and I had a cherry and chocolate fabulous something. Plus coffee. Service was at a good pace, the waitress was helpful and pleasantly chatty. Tables were well spaced and the atmosphere was just right. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch.
Great location and a really good meal with lots of choice for everyone.
Never failed to have a lovely meal here over the years.
This was the 2nd time back here in a few days. The restaurant and outside area are idyllic and the food and drink amazing. The staff serving are really friendly and attentive. The only downside I would say is there are a few members of staff who think they are above you, making you feel unwanted there. This was particularly a large gentleman who was initially at the desk inviting guests in and one younger person who was taking people to their tables. But please if you can ignore this, overall the experience was good.
Had a lovely meal at Lewinnick. View in a good day is second to none. All staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Would thoroughly recommend.
We went during the government eat out scheme so value was great, always enjoy the atmosphere here. Great views and food
Had a lovely meal here with my partner and everything tasted amazing
Food was excellent Very good service. Great Views.
The Lewinnick is my local, my favourite and never disappoints.
Even under these very trying circumstances, the Lewinnick delivers and should be applauded. Thank you to the delightful staff, for the excellent service and the oh so very good food.
A lovely experience, great food, felt happy and safe, all guidelines followed but didn’t detract from good atmosphere, would recommend.
Great food and good views.
You will need to book.
Great views. Good quality food and friendly service
Food was amazing! Service was excellent, friendly, helpful!
Great food in a beautiful coastal setting. We will be back next year! 😊
Efficient and friendly service. Good food seemed freshly prepared and high quality - all of us pleased with our choice. Calm, relaxed atmosphere.
Fabulous food and overall dining. Beautiful setting and staff very friendly .
Great food, friendly staff, good value with the Eat Out offer currently but would say can do more around COVID, customers being allowed to move tables prior to eating and not being cleaned before someone else sat down and staff standing very close as well. We would recommend the Fish and the Burger, felt like a treat!
Lovely Sunday lunch, a bit of a mix up with the Gluten free...but soon sorted by the helpful staff.
The amount of food was good but lacked a bit of taste. Had to add lots of salt and pepper to my roast and my beef was a bit tough. The lamb roast was tasty and the kids meals were good value and they loved their ice cream desert with the added fruit etc. It was a nice touch.
Not sure we were not told roast dinners were available. Not a good variety of choice. Waitress couldn't understand us or didn't want to . Air con was very high . This made the experience uncomfortable on many levels
Great service, Great food, stunning location!
Breakfast was fantastic as always but service was extremely slow. Around 20 mins wait just to take the order, followed by another 20mins wait for the drinks and a further 20 mins for the food to arrive. The table next to us also passed comment on the extremely slow service. Our order was taken very abruptly with no smile or warm welcome. Although busy on the day we went it must have been expected as virtually all tables were pre-booked.
Amazing food, amazing service, amazing location! Will come again
Excellent food and a lovely view, would definitely recommend
We arrived a little early but the hostess was great and got us seated quickly. The restaurant is well arranged and Covid-safe. Our waitress was great, very friendly (even succeeded in getting me a beautifully lean steak). Dessert (dark chocolate torte) was amazing.
All in all we had a lovely evening & will definitely be back.
