The Lewinnick Lodge
Nestled atop the cliffs of Pentire Headland, with stunning views across the mighty Atlantic & beyond, the Lewinnick Lodge offers a spectacular dining experience.
"The lodge' is open for breakfast at 9am and serves throughout the day until 10pm (10.30pm in the summer). Our ethos is simple, fresh seasonal produce prepared on the premises, using the very best the Cornish larder has to offer. We aim to cater for all tastes on our regular menus but if you are a lover of fresh fish & seafood then our twice daily changing specials will have you coming back time and again.
Other facilities include, large sun terrace, beer garden, open fireplace, large public bar with pool table/live sport. We are also dog friendly in the bar area.
Excellent service. Food very good value and quality, cooked to perfection and well presented.
Excellent and would definitely return - in fact I have, often!
The food was well presented but of low standard 2 pieces of small cut of venison lots of grissle. The smoked haddock had no fish pieces only a sauce very bad for the high cost not happy
Lovely food and lovely staff, rather loud all girls birthday party going on, not your fault some of them shrieking full volume.
Lovely dinner, beautiful setting and great service. Only came for dinner but would love to come back and stay in the lodge, too.
Absolutely stunning location, fabulous food and excellent service. Can highly recommend.
We had a lovely meal, which we all enjoyed. The service was a little slow, considering the restaurant was not that full. (Only7 tables occupied)
We’ve eaten here many times before and will do so again!
Delicious mussels, fresh hake and tasty puddings made for a great lunchtime visit
Had the best time room was clean view was amazing ,friendly service,we were not rushed out,the food was outstanding, view in the restaurant was lovely so relaxing, bar was lovely staff very helpful, nice cosy atmosphere, lot’s of family we’ll behaved children and pet’s,front of house was lovely, all in all would highly recommend a stay ,can’t wait to return, was a perfect gift for our children from Christmas, lovely walks with great view’s .
Beautiful location, been coming regularly for last 15yrs, it used to have a more upmarket restaurant (hubby tried frogs legs here in 2008) but restaurant now serves more pub grub, but with high prices of upmarket restaurant.
Normally an amazing experience at Lewinnick but New Years Day was a bit of a let down with service and lack of availability with my gluten free options on the day
Beautiful spot, lovely meal, super staff - perfect lunch
We came same time last year, loved it.I wanted to surprise the family. Waitress Josie was great on arrival very attentive drinks and water and starters were prompt. And that's where it ended. She was pulled away to other tables.many staff were talking at bar not doing much at all.table arrived next to us and were served mains before us, 40 mins between courses that was more than I could take I'm afraid.i approached - I believe manager told him dissapointed I was, he didn't seemed Bothered ... To many kids running the service, would never recommend would not return. Very dissapointed to be honest after last visit was brilliant. We practically stayed all afternoon!!!!over priced and no communication we only would of got served when we did because Josie clocked it and walked into kitchen. I believe they forgot our order. 😡
This was our 2nd time we’ve dined with you. We love it but the seafood linguine was very disappointing as it only had 5 mussels and 2 clams (as one was empty) but an awful lot of pasta. That said we will definitely be back as the rest of the food was amazing
We have visited Lewinnick Lodge many times and only on one occasion was the service not up to standard. One of our favourite places to eat.
Love this restaurant. Food is amazing, service great and if you visit in daylight the views are out of this world.
Amazing food , awesome staff 10/10 :)
Lovely location, lovely atmosphere. Food was good - we both had steak which was cooked exactly as requested - but wasn't exceptional and was quite pricey. Dessert was really lovely but again quite expensive. Would definitely go again and recommend to family and friends.
Stunning location to match the food. Extensive menu with a good specials choice. Quick and friendly service with a real local feel. It’s my new favourite place to go in Newquay.
Great all round service and food!! Can’t recommend it enough!!
Food coming out was very slow considering that when we arrived there were only four tables in the restaurant. We had to ask for menus and to order drinks having been sitting for 15 minutes. Waitress (sorry can’t remember her name) was lovely and embarrassed having to tell us there was a mix up over our order. We were given a free round of drinks to compensate. Having had good experiences previously we were disappointed with the time it took to get food - approximately 50 minutes for starters and another 45 for main course. The food was good when it arrived.
Never disappointed with the food nor the views at The Lewinnick. Newly discovered over the summer but has already become a regular for gastronomic and aesthetic experiences!!
Superb view ,lovely staff ,great food ,would highly recommend ,had a great birthday meal !
Beautiful location, hearty portions of delicious food all served with a smile. Fantastic.
Lovely ambience, superb food- very enjoyable experience
Quite excellent in every respect. Hospitality on arrival, food, service all outstanding. Cannot fault it!
(Except that 'ambience' is usually spelt like that rather than 'ambiance'!)
My husband and I booked a lunchtime meal. The food was amazing and the service second to none! Each member of staff went out of their way to make the experience memorable. The lunch tome deal was great value. We will be back
First time here and very pleasant welcome on arrival. We were early but the table was ready for us.
( 7 persons)
Pre-dinner drinks at the table, no rush from the staff to take orders which was good. In fact the staff were very helpful and accommodating.
Very slight niggle on the wine prices, i guess this is the norm though. I would have ordered the Amarone but when ordering 3 bottles thats then £195 alone so had to go for second choice.
We will return :)
Unrivalled views in a modern setting. Delicious food served in a relaxed room with attentive staff
We often go here for family lunches n dinners. Thought we do a Xmas lunch. The food was very poor. The roast potatoes were dry and turkey not tender at all. The starters were ok. The vegetarian main was too oily so the sister in law could not finish the dish. Have you guys change chef recently? Service was poor. Used to be prompt. Have you change managers recently?
Excellent food, in presentation and taste, as always, a really good venue. If only the service was better.
I must admit I’ve always found the lodge a bit hit and miss but this was probably the best experience I’ve had there, couldn’t fault any of it, long may it last, well done everyone chefs waiters and bar staff 10/10 👍🏻
We’re regulars and we go back time and time again as they always provide fab food and ace staff look after you.
Our fave place 👍
Brilliant, next time will stay in the lodge aswell
visited for lunch on my wifes birthday had a window table with amazing views; service was excellent and the food oh the food was perfect to our liking and 3 courses for £17;50 ; Definitely recommend a visit
Great place to eat with a varied menu and daily specials. The steaks are exceptional Service is prompt and friendly. Recommended
An excellent evening with food that everyone enjoyed credit to you all and the price was very reasonable
Steak night was great! Service good and all in all a great evening!
Waitress Laura was a treat too
Consistently our fave eating place. Never fails. Food, ambience, service, setting - all 5 Star!!
