The Lewinnick Lodge
Nestled atop the cliffs of Pentire Headland, with stunning views across the mighty Atlantic & beyond, the Lewinnick Lodge offers a spectacular dining experience.
"The lodge' is open for breakfast at 9am and serves throughout the day until 10pm (10.30pm in the summer). Our ethos is simple, fresh seasonal produce prepared on the premises, using the very best the Cornish larder has to offer. We aim to cater for all tastes on our regular menus but if you are a lover of fresh fish & seafood then our twice daily changing specials will have you coming back time and again.
Other facilities include, large sun terrace, beer garden, open fireplace, large public bar with pool table/live sport. We are also dog friendly in the bar area.
One of the best views in Cornwall, even on a rainy day. Friendly staff, great food and just the right balance between bar area and restaurant... we spent over 4 hours there, so couldn't find fault. Also it's been great to see how this location has been tastefully evolved over the last 20 years!
Always our fav place to eat in Newquay
Appauled by the service. Took my client out for a meal. I had to go to the bar to ask for coffee. I then had to get my clients coats and request he bill which was rather embarrassing. Will not be entertaining my clients again here. Very disappointed.
Amazing food, best restaurant iv been to in years, will be going again very soon
I’m a regular customer so it must be good! Would recommend for lunch & evening dinner.
I absolutely love Lewinnick Lodge. The food is absolutely outstanding aswell as every single member of staff being so welcoming, polite and willing to do anything to give you the best meal/stay possible. I can’t recommend Lewinnick Lodge any higher, being both a place to stay and to eat. Me and my parter will be returning again and more than once!
Stunning food, excellent wine choice, unbelievable view and really lovely staff. we can highly recommend!
We were able to change our booking time to an earlier sitting at short notice. Staff in restaurant very pleasant and quick to serve. Food came out quickly but expected better quality mussels and cod . The salt and pepper calamari looked under cooked and I had to put salt on to taste. All in all the food was good value for a restaurant with pleasant surroundings
We always like to visit the Lewinick when we are in the area. Their ambiance is very good and we enjoy the special events like 2Steak Night" It is hard to find on the web site but the special is a great plate of food, sourced locally and presented professionally.
Amazing food, amazing service! So tasty, looked amazing on the plate as well, perfect anniversary meal! Thank you!
Been here a few times the standard is very good. Lovely views and position, service is also good.
The only reason for less than a perfect five star on this occasion is that the cod in batter was very watery. Otherwise the rest of the meals were very good.
Service a bit slow with some misunderstandings but a nice lunch experience even though confined to the indoors due to cold windy weather.
Always a great place for a meal !!!!!!!!!!!!!'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent food and service. Not ideal if you are looking for a quiet night out, rather noisy, but otherwise unable to fault service or food.
Fab food service and thanks for bringing out the birthday cake at the perfect time z
We had the most enjoyable 3 course meal, with the service magnificent...Absolute pleasure..
As a regular user, we found the service to be slow on this occasion, with different waiters for each course lacking continuity. It has become noisy with young children recently. The menu needs refreshing being a bit short on choice, especially for vegetarians (and even worse choice - if any - for vegans). Good location, clean and the available food is good quality.
Lovely location with beautiful food. Our dinner was very fresh and delicious. A real gem of Newquay!
Thankyou for making my mums birthday special! The service was excellent, food was delicious and cocktails were just as tasty!
We love the Lewinnick and always try to make it to you for special occasions. If I were to make a comment, the confit of duck was a little dry but still tasty. Thankyou again and see you again soon.
Very pleasant experience. Good waiter and waitress.
All the way from Goonhavern for another feast on food locally sourced, well cooked and served with a smile. Where else would I take my family when they come down to see me?
Great food and surroundings but unfortunately the evening I was there the table next to me were very loud and crude!! Not the restaurant’s fault. I look forward to the next time when they are not there.
Had a solo meal at the restaurant and had the 3 course meal option for £17.50 which was value for money.
Food was as always very good and the staff friendly
This is an establishment with an outstanding location and view. We were looking for options for a tasty but light lunch but found the menu on offer a little bit "Foodie" and quite limited. More straightforward and simplistic lunch options please and we'll be back!
One of our favourite places to eat around Newquay.
Always welcoming, good service and lovely tasty food with a stunning view.
Perfect way to end of a fabulous coastal walk (Porth to Lewinnick)
Highly recommend both the bar area or the main restaurant. Worth booking ahead.
(Fabulous Vegetarian options too).
Great views and position but seemed to lack ambience this time around. Food ok and service ok but nothing great sadly. It used to be better - seems somehow to be not quite as good as it used to be. Real shame as with a few adjustments it could be great.
Absolutely delicious food. I come to Lewinnick for the view - especially when the weather is good - but I could not believe how fantastic the Sunday lunch was. You get real quality for a very reasonable cost. Service was excellent - attentive but not overbearing. I would certainly recommend the sticky toffee pudding!
We had a table for 2, which was situated next to the kitchen door and right next to a large birthday party. We could not hear each other from the opposite sides of the table. We asked to move and were given a nicer, quieter table in the bar area. We ordered fish cakes for starters, which came out Luke warm but we were hungry so ate them and being in the restaurant trade myself I know occasionally when it is so busy these things happen. Our burgers then came out and again they were luke warm. As I say I was willing to look past the first course being luke warm but I was not happy that both courses were like this. I sent it back and received a new meal which was hot in its place. By this time my partner had finished his meal and so I sat there on my own eating. I was not very impressed to be honest as had been looking forward to going to lewinnick for months and when we finally went the food was not overly tasty and was practically cold. I could not fault the staff, they were very polite, friendly and catered to our needs and the problems, despite being very busy. The drinks were taken off of the bill as a guesture of good will, which was appreciated but we left feeling very disappointed. It didn’t make us want to return again.
Food was delivered hot and all together and the quality was excellent . Menu was modern and choice for everyone. .prices on the food menu were about right for higher end food and we weren’t rushed for the table
The only complaint amongst all 4 of us was the price of wine and I think an offer of house wine would be helpful.
A fantastic venue and food was superb- the service was a slight let down in not delevering extras ordered plus drinks were slow to be brought to the table.
Booked for lunch with family celebrating their 50th Wedding anniversary, thoroughly enjoy the experience, the setting was lovely overlooking Fistral, food was delicious especially the Chocolate Brownie, good choice of wine and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be visiting again.
Was an ok lunch. I had a dirty glass with a piece of raspberry in it was replaced quickly. Waitress was polite and professional but had too many tables. Found a piece of gnocci in my risotto slightly makes me wonder about cross contamination. Also could not taste the treacle in the tart.
A favourite eatery. Great position for views, good food choice and quality. Despite being a very busy lunch the service was friendly and reasonably quick.
1st visit - just very good - will be back at some point in the future for sure
Great location, staff was really friendly and helpful! Amazing vegan options to choose from also first place that we found sticky toffee pudding suitable for vegans which was awesome!
Great food with excellent service and a beautiful sunset thrown in for free. A super way to celebrate out 10th wedding anniversary.
Good food in a stunning location. Very attentive staff. Would recommend the Autumn Bramble cocktail, delicious
Great atmosphere for a Friday evening. Unfortunately not the best table allocated to us (right by the serving /till area) even though we had booked in advance.
Fantastic meal, great atmosphere & cocktails, would always recommend this place
The menu is varied enough to cater for all tastes. Some great seafood options but also plenty of other choice for the less adventurous. Great place to catch the sunset. Good service. Food well presented and tasty - no complaints from anyone in our party where the options we had were the Hake & bean stew, mussels and fish & chips.
