The Lewinnick Lodge
Nestled atop the cliffs of Pentire Headland, with stunning views across the mighty Atlantic & beyond, the Lewinnick Lodge offers a spectacular dining experience.
"The lodge' is open for breakfast at 9am and serves throughout the day until 10pm (10.30pm in the summer). Our ethos is simple, fresh seasonal produce prepared on the premises, using the very best the Cornish larder has to offer. We aim to cater for all tastes on our regular menus but if you are a lover of fresh fish & seafood then our twice daily changing specials will have you coming back time and again.
Other facilities include, large sun terrace, beer garden, open fireplace, large public bar with pool table/live sport. We are also dog friendly in the bar area.
Amazing place with great views and great quality food. We were only here for breakfast but will definitely be returning for dinner in the near future.
Lovely setting but food variety limited and made to sound too exotic
locally produced food, excellent service in a beautiful setting.
And the bill came as a pleasant surprise at the end.
Excellent service yet again, and jolly good food.
Kir Royal - too sweet, tasted like slightly fizzy Ribina but staff rectified with top up of Prosecco.
Have been here many times but not for a while so was apprehensive when I saw reviews saying the services wasn't good. My experience was great - plenty of people working and all very friendly and helpful. I was slightly disappointed by the lack of choice on desserts and thought £9 for one of the desserts was too expensive so limited the choice. Other than that excellent sunday roast.
Lovely surroundings and great place to eat the pulled lamb was amazing then i had the monkfish which was nice but didnt like the sushi rice that went with it would prefer normal rice. Other than that great time will be back soon.
Me and my partner dined here for an evening meal on 02/03/2019 the staff were very approachable and their service was good. The food was incredible very delicious! The location just off of Fistral made it that much more relaxing.
Would highly recommend.

I booked for a birthday meal with family and friends and was very pleased with the food and service in a stunning setting.
Me and my partner have visited several times, and last nights visit was the worst by far.. the service was brilliant as always but the food let it down awfully. When it was time to pay I explained to the last server and me and partner felt as she was very abrupt she took my meal off the bill but I explained I wasn’t expressing for that reason as I was still more thank happy to pay for the entire experience but she took it off anyway. Just the attitude of the end of the evening has put both my partner and I on visiting in the near future. Such a shame as we really enjoy your restaurant
Food just wasnt worth the money. The whipped goats cheese was the only thing worth having. We had beetroot hummus, monkfish and katsu curry sauce and haddock n tripple cookedchips, nothing was seasoned, and overwhelming currypowder flavour to a very poor katsu sauce, felt like it just banks on the view, very dissapointing after having high hopes.
It’s your Truro boy regular again. Where else would I take visiting family from my home in Goonhavern?
Plume of Feathers in Mitchell perhaps- lunching there with a friend on Friday!
However I would warn then that the quality of the menu is not consistent.
Food great views great service great and drinks great. We all enjoyed our visit and when next in Newquay will visit again.
Loved the food and the staff were excellent. Stunning views and beautiful place.
As always a very nice place to come and eat I can't fault the food and the service. I would also recommend to anyone as a place to visit even if it just for a drink with very nice views across the bay
I came to eat an early evening meal with my family- visiting my parents with my children.
We had been several years ago and we’re still blown away by the sea views, my children couldn’t wait to get out onto the terrace to take some photos!
The food was amazing, great choice to suit all tastes. My two year old was very happy with her big bowl of pasta and ice cream for dessert!
We will most certainly be bookin again when we visit again over Easter and I’d love to stay overnight with my husband for a grown ups getaway!
Thank you for a lovely evening!
Lovely setting, stunning scenery, fantastic food and attentive staff. What more could you wish for? Cornwall at it's best. I will definitely visit again.
The food was good, however a few people ordered steak and the steak was cooked wrong. When the issue was addressed staff offered for it to be re cooked! The service was terrible as one of the men was grumpy and one of the women was snappy. The service was very slow and they seemed to be doing nothing the whole time. The price is okay.
The setting was great and the service was really good. It was quiet and had a good atmosphere.
Food was average. They did not have what i wanted so i got an alternative which was 3x the price. It was quite expensive for what it was and my steak was not the best. In fairness, they offered a new one, but by the time it would have come out, my partner would have finished.
To their credit, they did take some money off the bill and i would go back. I wouldnt plan my day around a meal there though.
A lovely lunch with friends
Service was very slow.. Waited 1 hr for our main course, which was wrong...
Good food, atmosphere and service with was very good and prompt.
Very pleased with our Sunday Lunch, it was well worth paying that bit extra above a pub carvery. Meat was tender, fresh vegetables and crispy roast potatoes, topped with a giant Yorkshire pudding. Children well catered for and service was speedy, with friendly efficient waiting staff. Will definitely go back.
Came here with high hopes & was not disappointed. Delicious food beautifully presented. Fabulous!! Have already rebooked to come again.
Every time we visit this restaurant we always have a good hot tasty meal. The atmosphere is great in a contemporary setting with a sea view to die for. This is one of our favourite restaurants in Cornwall - highly recommended
The service was faultless,we were welcomed by the bar staff on arrival, booking on line was efficient, table was ready ,waiting staff were polite ,professional, friendly. The food was amazing, the view was great ,just could not fault it .Thank you for a great experience.
A Valentine’s Day meal, the restaurant was decorated so nicely with red, pink & white Pom Poms hanging over each table (I love that kind of attention to detail which always lifts the atmosphere). The service was as always so friendly and the food was delicious. We love it there xxx
Great food. Great service.
The setting for the restaurant was perfect overlooking the sea. The food was excellent although I thought a little limited for the Valentines Dinner. You were able to mix and match from the A La Carte which worked for us.
The prices for the food were around what we expected, although the downside was the wine list. For the prices being charged for wine, the list of wines was limited. A basic bottle of Chablis was £39 which I guess would not be out of place in a top restaurant, but with far more options.
brilliant service with great food! they are more than happy to accommodate your needs
Amazing food and service! The waitress who served my boyfriend and I was so friendly and could not be more helpful! We were on holiday in Newquay and were made to feel comfortable which as a young couple really eased our minds and we were able to have a lovely, relaxing meal! Thank you so much! Although the restaurant was busy the service was still quick and proper.
A most enjoyable evening, the staff were very attentive Particularly related to the Bar staff. Nothing was to much trouble. The food was most enjoyable. We are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you.
At 75 and 50 years of marriage we choose The Lewinnick for our first Date Night, just lovely all round 10/10
Very good at what they do. The staff were very attentive even when in the background. The service and food were very good and, the location was exceptional. The views fro the restaurant were great.
We have ate here many times before as a group and always been pleased. This visit was not good. The food was cold and in very short supply. We had to ask for more of everything. The second lot to come out was hotter than the original but still not enough for 5 people. Felt this visit was over priced for what was served.
Food wonderful ,lodge wonderful, came here a few days earlier service NOT to good, but this time a vast improvement as it was in the pasted well done to all .
We’ve been to the Lewinnick Lodge many times in the past but last Sunday’s lunch was noticeably lower than the standard we’ve had in the past. Admittedly it was a very busy Sunday lunchtime but the roast beef special whilst looking impressive with a massive Yorkshire pudding was actually fairly low quality, the Portuguese stew was average at best. Similar for the other dishes ordered, belly pork and linguine. We’ll put this down as a ‘bad day in the kitchen’ and give it another shot, but I sincerely hope that was just a one off.
Great view and some really tasty treats, we had the seafood shared starter and it has good variety.
Food brilliant, lodge brilliant, staff looked a little poor in enthusiasm bar star as well, no water at table, my wife's birthday no happy birthday was said which would have been nice, chipped glass not replaced, after spending just under £250 very poor, have been dinning at the Lewinnick several time a year just hope it alone off . Yours sincerely
Always enjoy coming to Lewinnick Lodge. Good food, ambience and friendly efficient staff
