The Lewinnick Lodge
Nestled atop the cliffs of Pentire Headland, with stunning views across the mighty Atlantic & beyond, the Lewinnick Lodge offers a spectacular dining experience.
"The lodge' is open for breakfast at 9am and serves throughout the day until 10pm (10.30pm in the summer). Our ethos is simple, fresh seasonal produce prepared on the premises, using the very best the Cornish larder has to offer. We aim to cater for all tastes on our regular menus but if you are a lover of fresh fish & seafood then our twice daily changing specials will have you coming back time and again.
Other facilities include, large sun terrace, beer garden, open fireplace, large public bar with pool table/live sport. We are also dog friendly in the bar area.

Dinner: Monday - Sunday: 5:00pm - 10:00pm
Visited twice in 3 days! The view is amazing & the food is lovely. Definitely recommend the Sunday lunch!
Really enjoyed our meal , food excellent and service was exceptional ,
Perfect for any occasion
We have watched this grow from a tiny hut to what it is now a tatesfully designed restaurant & bar ( never seen the additional rooms ) outside our price range. The setting cannot be beaten. Staff on this visit were so very welcoming and friendly. Food ok but the ambiance makes up for that , so go explore for yourself the sundowns are spectacular or early breakfast Long lunch just enjoy the surrounding and escape
Thoroughly enjoyable occasion, lovely window seat, excellent food and brilliant service.
Excellent food and very good service. Spectacular view and great atmosphere.
We have been for the last 3 years on ur holidays as it is where my husband proposed..upon getting there early for our booking .they wouldn’t let us go in the restaurant so we had to sit in the bar and struggled to find a clean table ..it was really noisy , not much in the menu ..the food was mediocre so not pleased at all .ive always raved about the place before
Good food as always, great ambience. Highly recommend. Each time we visit Cornwall we make a point of having a meal here. Never disappointed. Shall be back there soon.
Excellent food. Amazing views of Fistral beach. Prompt efficient service.
First visit to Lewannick Lodge but enjoyed it immensely. Excellent views, and, impeccable service. Could not fault the food, had the cod, which was excellent, and the partner had the vegetarian curry which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Certainly will return.
Parking is easy.
Absolutely amazing food. Could not fault it at all. The choice of food was great and the view is spectacular
Went on Saturday night 8/8/18
Booked for 9pm asked for a cosy table as it was our 1st wedding anniversary we was put on a table that seats 6 people
& just behind us was a very loud table of about 10
Ordered are food &5 mins later the lady comes back & says we have run out of chicken , felt so disappointed & like the late seaters didn’t matter
Food we had was just ok for me fish & chips very over priced for what you get my husband had steak which he enjoyed
All in all I wouldn’t go back was a 1st timer left a impression but not for the right reasons.
Busy and bustling when we arrived, not the easiest place to find especially if you're using SATNAV.
Still, the staff are warm and friendly and attended to our needs whilst busily going about their work.
The food was amazing, as would be the views on a clearer day. This is a lively restaurant, staff that are friendly hard working and still have time for you. Lovely experience and well worth the drive over.
Great view from the restaurant. Tasty food . Waitresses forgot our deserts, but she was busy .We enjoyed the lunch. Had pudding somewhere else.
Never fails to impress me, and although its had a few face lifts over the years, its still maintains its character and friendliness
Went here whilst on holiday as we wanted a special meal for our silver wedding anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. Service was brilliant, food exceptional and the views breathtaking. Would highly recommend the seafood linguine.
Very very good food, the table staff were very attentive, brilliant in fact! We would recommend this to anybody who is coming to this part of the country!
The food was good, but the menu has been the same for months so could do with refreshing. There are specials, but not many that are not fish. Also the dessert menu is so uninspiring and has been the same for ages. However, it's a lovely setting to eat whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner and most of the staff are very friendly.
I would recommend the lewinnick lodge for any occasion the food was excellent the views outstanding and the service was very good
We have stayed and eaten here before and have taken the same group of friends for breakfast before.
My husband and I were disappointed yesterday but didn’t want to say anything in front of our friends.
The Earl Grey tea didn’t taste very nice and wasn’t very hot.
Even though the menu said ‘sourdough bread’ we all thought it wasn’t and was just normal bread.
The food became cold very quickly and we put this down to the plates not being that warm.
We have had better here and my husband and I have said that it was not good value and next year when we meet with the same friends, we would look for another restaurant for breakfast.
Bar service was bad , table service not good had to ask 3 times for our drinks.
Excellent view, service, drinks & food. We will return when next in the area
We visit the lewwinick every time we visit Cornwall and we’ve had a great meal every time. Highly recommend
Been lots of times and have never been disappointed.
Fab very good
Enjoyable evening. Good food and service. Quite busy and lots of children so bit noisy but it’s a busy time of year.
Position is great for viewing Fistral beach & surrounding area. Service was spot on and although very busy, wasn’t kept waiting at all. Highly recommended...
We love to come to Lewinnick Lodge for a special occasion during our holiday. The food was outstanding, especially the tomato and goats cheese starter. Unfortunately, we found the noise level very high. There was a large, demanding table of diners next to us and they were very noisy. We felt sorry for the poor waitress who had to deal with their constant demands. My husband and I couldn’t have a conversation across the table. We plan to come back to stay as the accommodation is excellent in the New Year...hopefully the restaurant will be quieter!
We visit several times a year as have a second home just down the road. Good food, great wines, great location on the cliff. Can get very busy so we always book.
Excellent food and waitress was very attentive. Restaurant is in an amazing location with sea views. Well worth a visit!
An excellent meal for the family with great views and friendly helpful service!
Service excellent. Quality of food and menu choices could be improved.
Excellent experience for our 1st Wedding Anniversary, Beautiful location (even with a heavy sea fog spoiling the views)
My wife is a Coeliac and we were catered for excellently, including an incredible gluten free cheescake to top the meal off.
I first started coming to the Lewinnick over twenty years ago, well before the redevelopment of the facilities and the expansion. I'm delighted that - having made the trip down from London for a birthday meal - the core essence of what they do is unchanged. The views and feel of the restaurant and terrace are amazing: even on a misty day, the sea fret and waves make for a compelling backdrop. The relaxed atmosphere and wonderfully friendly staff mean that anyone feels welcomed: with muddy boots and a dog, or dressed up for dining - and all of this combines to make a lively and comfortable blend. This is helped by a great quality service and food - plenty of excellent local choices, fresh options, and real classics on the menu. The incorporation of local gins and drinks rounds off what is still a fairly well hidden Newquay gem!
Outstanding views across Fistral bay. The food was very good and great value, and the service was very friendly and attentive
Sunday lunch for a birthday treats, Headland not open to non resident so glad we chose this instead.
Beautiful location overlooking the bay. Food was excellent and inventive. Good range of Cornish beers. Great service from our waitress completed an enjoyable evening
Given a tip from a local (ice cream bar) to visit Lewinnick Lodge as one of the only places they would recommend to go out to eat. We went for a family treat whilst on holiday for a few days and the tip was very welcome. We shared a meat platter starter between the 4 of us which was enough as we wanted to sample different items including olives. Mains were very good and the crab linguine was too much for my teenage boy to finish. The burger was excellent which my other son devoured whilst my wife had fish and chips which was equally as good and my choice of the Tuna (rare) with rice and salad was exquisite. My wife tried the Raspberry Gin Fizz cocktail which was so nice she managed 3 whilst I stuck to draught lager. One minor mishap was on the order for pudding whereby one was forgotten but a minor issue on a lovely evening in a fantastic location with very welcoming and hospitable staff.
Great location with amazing views. The staff were all friendly and professional. Had breakfast and dinner there and both were great!
A lovely venue with spectacular view. Great food and good service. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and would most certainly visit again. A lovely relaxed evening out.
We had a good time this week. My only negative comment is related to £25.00 corkage charge which I think is excessive. We had a particular bottle of champagne we wanted to add to the other bottles of wine we purchased for very special, sentimental reasons. However, we could not justify such an exorbitant extra cost to open our bottle. I think £5 would have been more appropriate and similar to other restaurants that I have contacted since our visit to ask the details of their policies on corkage fees.
